Almost identical to the Vax blade 2 max using same bin and components etc, I find give the bin a good tap prior to opening the empty door, had ours almost 4 years, still works relatively ok it is getting tired particularly cleaner head motor sounding very loud now, yes the filter requires cleaning 4-6 weeks of use .
I always love you videos ! Inspired me to start repairing old vacuums !! I have a small motorhome and I was wondering there is a vintage cylinder vacuum you’d suggest for me to keep in there. It would be for tidying cupboard and shelves. Ideally something that I can buy replacement bags and parts for. Keep up the amazing work Roger !!!

I had a Vax blade 2 and your words are kind compared to what I would say. After 7 months the battery died over a period of three weeks but because I couldn't find the receipt they wouldn't do anything.
I won't touch another machine with the words VAX on it.
I had the Blade 2. Was ok, not great. My velour strip came off, and started coming off the upholstery tool I got for it. Vax needs stronger glue! But got a mains DuoClean Shark (bought from Roger incidentally!) which showed how rubbish the Blade was at cleaning. P.S. This is exactly the same as the 2 other than the removable battery as far as I can see.

It might be cheaper to pay for international shipping, or maybe trying a freight forwarding company? Any pals in the UK, who could ship it to you? I can't imagine (hope it wouldn't) cost £260 to ship it!
