I have just received my Vax today. My initial response was disappointment. Tried on kitchen tiles and it worked, but felt vacuum was top heavy; didn't feel quality. Went on TH-cam for instructions and found your review and demo. It was so clear and pointed out the quality of suction and clever components and design. Retried on carpet and stairs and growing really fond of it. Suction is excellent .

Seems like a good vacuum, nice run time, but it is louder than a Dyson. Even though it is a bit loud it does perform better than a traditional vacuum.

Hi. Thanks for your review. Can you tell me what power setting you had on, please, whilst you vacuumed the dirt? There appears to be 4 settings and the 4th would be the maximum suction, which would deplete the battery very quickly if I'm understanding this correctly. Had a corded Dyson for 10+ years. Was excellent. But want to switch to cordless now.
From memory I am sure I had it on the middle power setting. Either 2 or 3.
@@geekanoids only has 2 power settings , the battery indicator has 4 lights from 25% to 100%

How does this compare to the Vax Blade 3 pet? is it just how long the battery lasts or is there a difference in power / suction as well?

How does it perform on laminate flooring? I've seen a video of the V3 that shows it just push dirt into a pile

Yes. It works fine, but best to test on small area first.
For stairs, can this be made handheld simply by removing the pole and connecting vacuum head directly to the body? thanks

What does brushless motor mean?
Are the brush heads the same on Blade 3-4? And what about the suctions which is better?
I had a Dyson V10 animal that was very good the suction is a breeze and emptying the bin was easy..
I also heard a lot of negatives on the blade 4 hair gets stuck on the brush..
& emptying the bin is not that straightforward u have to get the bits out using you fingers that’s no good..
U see Dyson has it spot on it has a flap u push downwards that gets all of the dirt trapped out without using ur fingers ..

I am not sure of all the differences, but have seen improvements in suction power and battery life.
Peace Maker 2 they just want you to spend more money on upgrades. Small incremental improvements on eg: power and battery.... They can’t release one model every 10 years. They won’t make much money, that business model.
After keeping my previous vacuum for 3 weeks as it was dreadful i decided to buy the blade 4,i,m glad I did it is an excellent vacuum and i would recommend it

Is it top heavy? I had to return a shark corded stick during to it being top heavy and uncomfortable on my arm!
A little heavy at the top but manageable.
Which is better this or a shark anti hair wrap or dyson I have 6 kids 2 cats a busy life style and want something that is quick and convinient to run about the house curre9have a Henry which is fab but not convinient to lug about I need something that's going to pick up alot of mess and not be too heavy also what r the to old for the sofas and things like.
All are great choices. Some of the latest models have brushes that come out super easy for cleaning.
What's it like to empty? We have an old Dyson, and it's very messy to empty the dust container, as in you often have to get your hand inside! Ugh!

They are so close, perhaps see if you can get a home trial of one.
I have the blade4 and it’s brilliant, the pile of my carpet is all stood up and when I walk on it I can see my footprints. This is all just on the lower power setting with the brush, not on higher setting.
I’ve got the Blade 4, I can’t recommend it enough. Vax are doing the pro kit for free with it at the moment!

I've had the original gtech, then I got the mk2 thinking it would be an upgrade, boy was I wrong, it wasn't as good performance wise as the original and its edge to edge pick up was useless. I then git the shark cordless with anti hair wrap. Also a useless machine which was incredibly disappointing as we'd heard great things about it. Looks like it's the blade 4 we're going for then. Thanks for your review. X

Recently purchased, battery life is poor, low suction barely picks up anything and carpets dont have a deep clean feel after high suction, which lasts few minutes before draining batter. Top heavy, a rubbish vac, just returned!

Only a guess but I would think the left and right ends of the brush need lubricant. Be very careful this does not stain your carpet. Check with Vax too, they can advise better than myself.

The batteries are notoriously poor. Make sure you register the warranty, you may need it for a battery that stops charging. Otherwise a decent cleaner!

All three are about £20/30 of each other.
I bought one last week. The cylinder keeps falling off! Battery lasted 5 mins before flashing red. . SO disappointed. VAX are sending me out new cylinder, so maybe I shall find out how it’s supposed to work . Disappointed though and no Guide Booklet or instructions , nothing?

## VIEWERS PLEASE TAKE NOTE ## as with v24 and v32 this vac lasts around 10 min on boost mode and rollers on Please check reviews on battery performance on utube . Unless got 5 batteries at 50 quid a pop this item is pants unless u like spending all your life charging the one battery , Seen a battery review of the product deffo about 10 min on highest setting , I own a v32 I no the issue with run times on boost mode on Vax products , Difference with Dyson the lowest setting useable , Fed up people not knowing all the facts YES great if 10 MIN ROCKS YOUR BOAT , when will they ever produce a decent battery 🤔🤔

@@geekanoids Totally disagree normal mode is useless the Dyson dc31 from over 10 year ago as she'd loads more power than vax products on lowest setting. Least if spend another 250 quid on spare batteries u may get a hours run time on boost mode JUST WOW,
A good product without a doubt. But it is let down by the battery packs, which can give up the ghost unexpectedly, at any time. One of my two battery packs gave up after 15 months of average useage, and replacement battery packs are not cheap, at £70-£80 a pop.

Didn't cover this off too well. Basically the brush bar is not very wide. The battery lasts only 12 mins on full power and you need it on full power as the pick up isn't great on setting 1. So buy a second battery! The biggest gripe I have with this is the design flaw when emptying, and this wasn't covered off in the review. It's poor. There is no tool or lever operation to be able to push or force the dirt out of the cylinder. You end up putting your fingers in and physically removing what you've just sucked up which is disgusting and an atrocious design problem. I would think twice before buying. There's other options out there and a lot of hype around this one!

The problem is the batteries are standard sumsung 2680 but the BMS is non generic and this is the weak design and capable of failure and is a factory rebuild.

Feels Heavy, cumbersome, doesn’t stand up, falls over, useless on hard floors as it pushes even smallish items around. Good suction, though, but that’s about it.
