This is similar to Hoover One Power vacuum, except that the battery is not removable. My Hoover generates clicking noice from the brush head after one month’s use. The belt touches the the case cover making the noise.
Thank you for sharing that, I didn't know. I've just taken delivery of the Vax blade 3 that has a removable battery. Sorry to hear about your vacuum hope you still have warranty left and get it sorted.
My blade 2 max did this. The ball bearing that supports the brushbar failed on the belt drive side. It caused excess friction and melted the housing that holds the bearing. This made the belt go slack and start skipping and hitting the case around the belt. Vax replaced the whole head under warranty.
I have the original blade in the 24v ultra model great little vacuum it’s upstairs right now charging I’m a bout to do my cleaning now with it it’s great!
I think it's a fine machine, I do find it's pretty useless in the low power mode - kinda have to use the boost all the time which cuts the battery life in half. Would be nice to have a removable battery pack as well.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I agree a removable battery would be nice. I'm using the Hoover H free 500 pet that has a removable battery, makes life easier. I will be uploading a review soon if your interested.
+ EASY SOLUTIONS REVIEW, you need a Hoover with a sealed chamber or whatever it's called. Trust me Shark vacuum is the one for you. I have asthma and my shark doesn't bring on any breathing problems.
I have one, and I don't like. You have to charge it 3 hours min, to use it for less than 15 min in the max power, the minimum one is useless. Also have it for just 2 years and the head was faulty already twice, I don't chuck it just because is amazing at picking up my long hair from the carpet.
Here's my slight beef with my (and all blade 2/3/4 cleaners). Yes I understand cuts need to be made to keep the price down. But, the batteries in all blade cleaners use old school 2Ah cells, the current standard in most tools and power equipment is 2.5 or 3Ah cells. The purchase cost to the end user would increase by around 12% to include these upgraded 3Ah cells. This means that they could increase the suction on 'low' mode by 50% and still get the same 45mins or so of life. Or on 'boost' mode the life could increase from 12 minutes, to 18 minutes.
This is a good point, but i suspect most jobs you would use this type of device for would be done within that time and the increased battery capacity will add bulk and weight as well as cost. It should be an option though. I just bought a blade 2 and a bit of a wait via covid mail lol. So I'm just hoping i made the right purchase at this point. It cost a touch less than a dyson v7.
@@m.b.82 All 18650 cells are exactly the same dimensions and weights are very close. So upgrading from 2.0ah to 3.0ah cells will do nothing to change weight or bulk at all. I was considering re-celling it myself but then I would lose my 3 year warranty. I've been using the blade 2 max for almost a year I'm very pleased with it. I recommend buying the optional pack with the stretch hose and brushes, and the mini motorised head is handy for car seats and carpet. It's extra cost but makes it super versatile. The weaknesses are that it's not as good on hard floors, and the turbo head bearings can overheat and melt the chassis if you get fine fur or hair stuck in the bearings.
@@procrastinator1842 thats interesting. I just assumed based on various cordless tools that more ah equaled bigger battery packs. My vax blade 2 landed the other day. Very impressed with it. Even on hard floors which wasn't really a concern as i mop. Will keep an eye on the turbo head for fine hair. Thanks for the heads up 👍
@@m.b.82 Yah, I have had 1.3, 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0 power tool batteries that are all the same size, technology gets better. The problem with the power head isn't something you can easily check, one day you will just smell smoke and it's off to the warranty department. If you remove the roller brush you will see a small Philips head screw on the plastic dog that engages the roller. This can be remove (it's a left hand thread, so righty-loosey) and any hair can be picked out the space between the plastic dog and the bearing.
@@GrumpyMansREVIEWS its also a wonder a hard floor designed head isnt included, the rotating brush head is great for carpets, but just pushes larger particles around on hard floors. I bought one, the Blade 2 Pet, which comes with smaller couch rotating brush, and its pretty good. But i find myself using boost mode 90% of the time, and its weakness is definitely picking cat litter up from our wooden floor boards, as i have to run it backwards over it, slightly lifting it a bit, otherwise it just gets bulldozed to the edges
Good fun review. Having just bought this, I would agree that it's very good on carpets, in fact I'd go as far as to say exceptional and it easily removed things like black sock fluff from the bedroom carpet that our old plug in Vax always left. I wasn't too bothered by it not picking up cheerios on a hard wood floor, our only concern is battery life if you've got a lot of carpets, in that powering the brush head eats battery and means using the boost mode sparingly. But all in all, I wasn't prepared to pay £500 for the Dyson cordless that has better reviews which is a crazy price top pay for a vacuum cleaner!
It’s really good on carpets but as you say the battery, still better then Dyson prices. Hope you enjoy using it. Thank you for taking the time to comment I appreciate it!

How easy is it for an old person to use since there is quite a lot of weight at the top near the hands and wrist that has to be supported?
