I already got a 5 door automatic here in India. The car is amazing & performs well in the mountains, off road. Enough space in the vehicle for a small family of 3. btw the Jimny was launched at a bit higher price than expected & Suzuki ended up giving discount upto 300,000 rupee (convert to AUD) now.
@@DiscoverAroundno I wanted 4x4 with electric power steering. But those who drove thar said that is way to bumpy & body roll. The ride comfort is much better in jimny. The top spec thar is way more expensive than jimny...
@@nileshjoshi4232 before discount, price gap was just 1.5-2 lac between Thar petrol automatic and Jimny alpha automatic. Considering to be driven by home minister, I opted Jimny alpha automatic. Mine was delivered last week.
We were prepared to purchase the jimny 4 weeks ago. On taSaturday we went in to two dealerships for a test drive. Both spoke about the six-month wait for delivery. That same day was the Adelaide four-wheel drive adventure show. So we went there as well. Looked at all the other big 4x4 cars. Got talking to Nissan, the next day. We drove to our local Nissan dealer. Took a. SL Warrior out for a drive. And that was it. It was like chalk and cheese. Well they are chalk and cheese really. So we got a warrior all in black. One thing that surprises me with the Suzuki. Why is there so many on the second-hand market between 1 and 3 years old and under 8000 km and less? Do people buy them then after 6 months? Realise they are too small. I for one did not realise how small they were in the cabin. Even with the back seat down room for an esky and a box of beer. But they do look like a fun car to drive
The main reason people sell them is because they're flipping them for a profit, the vast majority of second hand 4th gen Jimnys sell for a higher price than they charge at the dealership brand new because of the supply and demand issue, there has been lengthy wait times ever since it launched here in 2019. Even some dealerships take advantage of it by keeping some brand new ones as dealer demo vehicles, then after some milage is on it they sell it second hand with a higher price tag than a brand new one.
@@craigsampson3386 funny! You say that one of my friends she ordered a jimny and took 10 months to arrive. We even looked at the Ford ranger Raptor, Ford ranger wildtrack. They are like three and four months before delivery and waiting time. The world's car market has gone insane since the beginning of COVID. After 4 years surely there's no supply chain logistics reasons anymore. Prices are going through the roof and sadly most cars now are made in low paid Asian countries and third world countries and I bet you those guys are not getting a wage increase.
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one thinking this - not long ago a "cheap" new car was sub-20k, how is it that we're now saying anything less than the luxury car tax is cheap?
Just for the record. Turbo chargers are stupid what this needs is a supercharger. How do people not know this. Its a big difference. Thankfully you can get one from bullet or oz jimny its $10,000 and its beyond fun you cant imagine
XL 🤣 it’s a small bum car Rejected by Indian market coz it doesn’t have a road presence at all compared to Thar 4X4 & rwd. Enjoy Australia 😅😂🤣 And it’s unsafe No Ncap rating.
Thar has body roll and isn’t even as capable as Jimny. India has not rejected Jimny but it will eventually outsell Thar soon. Thar is an unreliable car with loads of issues and you can see many of them in Used cars spaces since they are useless for their owners.

Use the same wheelbase but make it a two-door with a rear tray and the farmers will love it
This needs the Swift/Vitara Turbo motor.. with the heavier body, it’ll need the extra grunt.
It requires a Vitara 1.4 turbo and 4 disc brakes instead of the same old 1.5 and montonous drum brakes.
This 💯
Yeah strange to keep the same engine despite the bigger size.
Hello there! Would you recommend manual transmission? Or should I go for the Automatic?
Manual is always better, it gives better control

Many use to buy them because are cute, then realise body on frame, solid front axle and recirculating ball steering is not as cute as they thought

Needs a bigger 1.8litre engine or a turbo
These aren’t “cheap fun 4x4s”. They START at 40k here. 5k more and you’re in entry level 4x4 double cab triton and hilux territory.

Jimmys are now waaaayyy over priced as well. And you don’t save much money by buying second hand either.
Its like close to 41 42k driveway.
Would be sorely tempted by an electric Jimny.
wish it came in yellow!
Should have the boosterjet at this price

It's not a SUV. It's a 4WD!? Wer're getting too Americanised!!
SUV is the body style. 4x4s can come in a lot of different body styles including SUV, ute, troopcarrier, etc.
Still no Turbo and If this car made in Jepan and with turbo engine I definitely change my mind to buy.
Those servicing costs seem an awful lot, over $2000 for 5 years. It's just a basic low tech 1.5L petrol engine.
This is very expensive 🫰 even most of cars are over priced in Australia
Same as Toyota Land Cruiser too. All cars are overpriced with our flat rate pay.
Looks nice but that engine is way to slow 74kw 😂
Suzuki still have no plans to sell this in Japan. Bummer
$45k driveway in WA, forget it
Overpriced…!
How about just taking it on road? Not everyone wants to take it off.
Not everyone wants to keep it on either, you’re not the main character mate.
Buy a Vitara 😂
It’s Rubbish why do people like it .
Cause it's a good offroader and it's cute
You are rubbish
You don't know shit
These are total crap can’t believe still selling them here, so much better available now for less . Underpowered and overpriced
Like what? And it needs to be a proper offroader too.
