@@sunnyg6109 the sad part is non, in fact they have just raised the price of the metallic paint to nearly $900.00 and the other paints are two tone and they are over $1200.00 it's ridiculous!
That Jimny XL 5 door should be priced at $28990. When Suzuki released the 3 door model back in 2019 it was priced at $23,990 then Covid hit and they kept increasing the prices and blaming in on Covid. All they were doing is making more money. Now a 3 door Jimny manual is $30,490. Even the 2019 Suzuki Vitara manual has had a massive price increase. Use to be $22,490 now its $29,990
I have 5 door bluish black Alpha MT, and god i love it. Its a car with character and expands your perspective and horizon. Unbelievable and too capable. Got the bfg ko2 in 215 75 r15 and its just glides swiftly. Truly incredible for time to come.
For everyone not wanting the BS marketing pricing, the cheapest is basically $40k on the road, for the White Manual. Then another $685 for all the other colours except for the two-tone roof which is more again. Then add $1500 for the auto transmission.
That’s what I’ve been told as well. Look like some dealers are slugging added dealer delivery costs to take advantage of what they expected pricing to be
Price for production have increased, you ain't getting the older price anymore as you can see most manufacturers across the globe have started doing it.
With the decent low range, it seems to be geared towards off-road users. But I think Suzuki have lost an opportunity here because of the very small space in the rear. Looking at the dynamics, they could have lengthened the rear by up to 150mm or even 200mm and not sacrificed departure angle. Then you could have had a decent amount of loading space for camping etc.
Bought a 3door manual in 2021 for 36000 including all the on road costs. Even the 3door with the 1.5 was so underpowered. I love them but not a 40000aud car!!! Sold ours a few months ago now. Think Suzuki missed a trick not putting in the 1.8 or 2ltr in either the 3 or 5 door but guess that’s prob down to carbon tax e.g emission reasons
The seats not lying flat is a bummer. The added length would make it ideal for sleeping in if the seats laid flat but most serious 4wders/campers will probably remove them & install a false floor for the extra space.
By this point I was hoping they would put a 1.4l booster jet turbo engine paired with a 6 speed automatic in it. The extra doors and seats makes the jimmy bigger and heavier. The 2 door variant was already struggling with power with its pathetic 1.5l and an outdated 4 speed auto. This thing would feel so much more gutless. Ain’t no fucking way I’m paying 40k for this
A very nice design, Jimmy jeeps as always have solid built I think both the 3 and 5 doors can work in any capacity or occasion it's just up to the individual perspective and preferences and love for the Jimmy jeeps but overall nice looking took them a while to come out with it but I think it's worth the waiting 👍👍
Go with the 3 door if it is mostly for two adults and 5 door if you have the kids in there a lot. Very spacious in the front for two adults because it doesn’t angle in like most cars, quite deceptive. 3 doors handle amazingly and look better in proper proportion. Can’t go wrong with a Jimny, a car their owners love way more than Korean cookie cutter’s.
I would totally drive this in the US if i could. I'd level the front suspension, slightly bigger AT tires, lighter wheels, 2 aux lights, and crossbars for my sport racks.
Yeah - this thing is on a massive sale at the moment in India- Like 2500 USD additional discount in the December month Jimny has been a big flop in India - Mahindra Thar stole the limelight :)
Very sad Suzuki pulled out of North America. This is Suzuki's strength, building small, practical vehicles. I can't see why the Jimny wouldn't sell well in Canada and the U.S.

Btw i own a new jimny but i had to wait nearly a year after deposit to get it... that was in 2019
They already manufacture this in India (and only in India for the 5-door version for now). I’ve had one for the last 5 months and I can already tell you guys it’s a hoot!
It's already being manufactured in India, and it's been a disaster in terms of sales, which is why they're attempting increase export. India has had much better pricing, just 25000 aud at launch, and due to its lack of sales its been repositioned at 20000 aud. Australian pricing is a con job.
@@MrStealthy007 That will be the case with every domestic made product vs import. The Mahindra and Royal Enfield are also relatively cheaper in India since they are made there but purchasing power is less in India. Doesn't give much away to 3rd in performance on and offroad, its no brainer the 5dr is just better to live with. Next upgrade fit vitara's 1.4t engine. While great onroad that 230nm torque at 1500rpm would also be useful offroad.

250mm longer isn't that bad for extra weight etc and cross over angles but much better access to the back.....I would remove seats anyway so looks all right. Still love my little one though.
I'd consider the 5 door after selling my 3 door. The 3 door got tiresome on long highway hauls, " jiggly " indeed, as most short wheelbase 4x4's are. As a second car with minimal use, I'd still take the extra room and versatility of the XL. Reasonably priced too. 👍
