Good to see you still makin videos man. I loved the drone stuff too. I had your Quattuor and Tribus frames and loved them both. I wish I still had them, but I have nowhere and no time to fly anymore.
Thanks for watching! And that's awesome and kinda funny as I had just flown my quads for the first time in many months! I also ran out of decent places to fly but still have the odd rip now and then. 👍
Still looks like it has enough grunt with them bigger wheels and rear sprocket. How are the motor temps after a good hard track bashing? Also what sort of ride times are you getting in such a small was it 12ah battery setup?Love the build as it gets better and better fella.
Thanks buddy! I was testing at 150A with these wheels and after riding hard for 20-30 mins the motor gets to around 50-60c, that was with a lot of wheel spin too but the controller is barely skin temperature, I'm using 20ah 18s / 1334wh. Haven't done a range test with these wheels yet, the larger knobbles on the tyres probably sap a lot of battery though
Thanks, yes a hub motor is much simpler but does not have the same torque that a mid drive does for the same motor weight, also having a lot of weight at the rear wheel doesn't offer as good handling especially when jumping
Hey I'm looking on the qs website and they say the 100em controller is only good for 100amp battery. Can it be programmed to be pushed passed its max? I have the 138 70h motor bit bought the wrong controller originally. Wanna get it right this time
as my controller is an older version now, it has no function to limit the current but its not worth going over the rated current as it will just fry the unit, my version controller whilst it is an em100 supports 150A on sport mode, however there are different versions now and things may have been changed/limited
alright mate we spoke before im building the qs4000w pitbike.!quick question😂i can only get 72v 40ah lithium battery but max amp on the bms is 150amp! is that going to be enuff ? i seen people sayin about 350amp there running on the motor is that just over current or sumthin ?
are you using the 138 90h motor? if so 150A is on the low side, its what my votol em100s controller / 2000w 120 70h motor runs, your motor will still run of course but less torque and potential top speed depending on gearing and other factors. The votol em200 controller which is sold with the 4000w 138 90h motor is capable of 250 battery amps and 550 phase amps but other controllers may allow more and I wouldn't be surprised if the "4000w" motor could handle 350 battery amps
@@VOLITANT yes 138 90h wos going to use votol em150 sp im unsure wot to do now if i run the 2000w motor same as you but run the 72v 40ah 150amp would that be good! im building the kmxr 160 pitbike so basicly crf70 frame 14”front 12”back wheels. got a 50t sprocket of a pulse adrenaline i just aant it to wheelie n stuff for canal and forests! the 4000w motor says 89amp 200amp max bus current so i thaught 150amp bms would be enuff but ovs im wrong😂
@@petermartin448 haha ok so the 138 90h is honestly way way to powerful for a 12" wheel and it suited for full size bikes. And whilst my smaller motor will still run 12" wheels no problem I'd recommend the larger 3000w 138 70h motor personally, and that will still be insanely fast! (My friend is converting his 12/14" pit bike with this motor and em150 controller atm) all of these motors will wheelie with the correct gearing, and a 50t rear with 13t front with 12" wheel should be a good start
@@VOLITANT thing im strugling with if battery i can only find lithium battery packs 18650 cells and the pack are quit big i duno how to get moore power from battery can get 72v 150amp bms 50ah for £550 that problley biggest i could get on the bike think if run that with 138 3000w and 150 votol controller wot ya think 😂 3000w motor saying72v continuous 120a peak battery 150a peak phaze amp 450a i duno how you work out the phaze amp!!😂

Cool Video
What’s max peak ur pushing in the wattage
Look up Rebel Gears, They make custom sprockets

Cool build..... I like that idea but why didn't you do a hub motor, it would be so much easier to do.

how much has the build cost you so far mate ?
Do wheelies
Battery life? 72v?
18s/66.6v nominal, and I get around 10-15 miles or you could squeeze 35 odd miles if you ride at 10mph the whole time which will never happen 🤣

thanks pal! using 428 chain
