I've never shopped for a welder before and didn't realize u can get stuff that cheap now, felt like that was the kind of thing you had to put a couple grand towards for some reason. So does the welder u shared actually work alright on 110v? Or is it the kind of thing where it "technically" works, like barely, so they can advertise it like that lol and u actually need to have 220v?
@@koijoijoe from what Project Farms has shown it’s exactly that. They don’t accurately produce the amps that you set. I’m thinking about just going with a Lincoln Electric multi phase LE31MP.
@DustySteel oh I've GOT to start remembering Project Farm exists lmao couldn't be a better place to take my questions too to get answered lol thanks! Good luck on your welding journey and whichever one u choose!
I know that turbos are cool and all that stuff, but two strokes are a completely different beast. If you want to make some real power, you need to get an expansion chamber on that thing.
Me and some friends bought a few of these when we were around 13 years old (20 years ago). One of them had the exhaust pipe touching the gas tank, which inevitably melted through and spilled gas everywhere on the first ride…lucky it didn’t catch on fire! The design of these things hasn’t changed at all since then…absolute death traps! Try adding an advanced timing key on the flywheel - made a surprising power improvement for such a cheap upgrade!
A few yrs ago during lockdown i welded two of these together, made a mini twin engine drag bike, about 4. 5 ft long, with both exhausts one over the other, they shear the rear sprocket bolts tho as they're so tiny, i wish i could post a picture for you to see
I love your channel so much. I've been watching you since you came to GHP and I'll keep watching. With that said, I would really like to see you take safety more seriously. Riding with a helmet and wearing safety glasses when needed are 2 really simple ways to keep living your best life. I understand that often times safety comes 3rd when doing this stuff, but I would like to keep you around for a while. I have taken a hard spill without a helmet (causing a concusion and requiring many stitches) and I have shot a piece of metal in my eye while grinding (had to have it surgically removed) and a lesson I had to learn the hard way is that your brain and eye balls aren't organs worth playing with. I'm really glad to see you wearing a helmet on these mini bikes and hope you keep it up in the future. Thanks for the content gentlemen, I know this stuff isn't easy to continually create. I wish you guys the best with youtube and I'll be here for the ride.
I love the track suits. That's how I *always* ride my ZX10R. I'm in Utah... you should bring your bikes down next summer and we can go rip some canyons together.
I used to mess with those bikes back in the day with alot of friends. If u port out the carb to the engine u will gain some more speed. And change the rear sprocket
Cool to see something of this size to be turbo'd but 2 stroke is way different than 4 stroke. From what i know of 2 stroke, my best guess would be turbo after the expansion chamber and pull through the carb might have had better results. The expansion chamber does not just create back pressure it creates a pulse to push air and fuel back into the cylinder since it has no valves. when it does create boost then i think it will blow out a seal on the crank since it is not made to deal with that.
A blow through tends to blow fuel back to the fuel tank you can put a one way valve inline line on the fuel line might pick up some power the draw through setup makes it run rich seeing more than 20inches of vacuum can be tuned out to the most part I don’t know what these manufacture jets those carburetor jets are can be a crazy little engine I know they sell water cooled heads I helped put a race saw together with the 80cc bicycle engine
9:00 - It's work like this that makes me feel like it would be easy to make TH-cam videos..... 😂😂 Edit: I feel like you guys would enjoy Modified Razors more than tiny 2 stroke bikes.... Electro and Co has 72v and 79v batteries plus a 15kw motor compatible w/ a few different controllers and they're capable of 60+ mph easy. Also Death To Gas has a small bolt on kit for 2 and 4 bolt motors that can convert a bike to electric pretty easy... Besides that you can get a big enough battery that you can ride around at 60 mph for about 30 miles. 😁👍

I’ve had three different pocketbikes now..these ones aren’t horrible but theres a little cooler styled and better quality on the welds and all version that’s about fifty dollars more I believe that I thought was a way better bike in my opinion it has like a ladder bar style frame and stuff, then the one that I had like this I ended up stripping it down to the frame and painting it all and replaced basically everything with all the little “upgrade parts” they sell and also swapped in the little “big bore” engine 😂 turned out really nice and I then proceeded to trade it and my other stock one for my current big bike which is an 82 honda twinstar cm200t that I have been converting to a cafe bike.. 😂 anyways now I want another mini one and I blame y’all 😂😂😂 they also have some slightly bigger ones with like a 110cc engine or something like that from venom motorsports.. would love to see tou guys do one of those bigger ones next or possibly a kikker 5150 motorcycle.. 😂would love to see what you guys would come up with to customize either haha
They both have their pluses. You or I could buy these parts and put this project together. Ethan is a mad scientist who builds stuff we could only ever dream of.
The engine displacement is too small for that VZ21 turbo. You need 125cc minimum. Also CR jumps up if you made boost, causing serious detonation and blowing up that engine. When you boost you need to lower the CR before adding boost. Even with high octane fuel. This video is for entertainment purposes only.
Yeah I don't think it's something that can easily be done, if done at all. The issue with turbocharging a 2 stroke is that the intake and exhaust ports are open at the same time, so any boost you add to the cylinder will just blow out of the exhaust port. An expansion chamber is actually the equivalent way to "turbocharge" a 2 stroke. The exhaust port is the last port to be open, and the expansion chamber basically adds a pulse of boost at the right time to smash some extra charge into the cylinder before the port closes.
@@wecirclethesky That is why you need to put an expansion chamber in the the charge pipe to build boost so when the ports are open not all of the boost is instantly pushed out.

You're going to find ACTUALLY turbo-charging a tiny two-stroke, next to impossible.
Yes it's been tried many times, very few have actually succeeded
@minter_fab_mafia Supercharging a little two-stroke, now that's something I could get on-board with. 😉
@DetroitMicroSound I agree! Little smog pump!
Nothing is impossible when you give it a go 😊
The successful ones did it because they used math to perfectly match an expansion chamber to the RPM they are targeting for boost to come in.
That was a Bikes and Beards unboxing if I ever saw one!
You should just start replacing different parts until eventually it is a full size motorcycle. That would make a great video series. 😂

Good content. Currently doing the things im obsessed with. Forced induction small engines.
Shorten the exhaust-to turbo pipe to keep the turbo off of the ground, extend the swing-arm for more carb-to-intake clearance.

You need to put a bigger jet in the carb. If you add more air you need to add more fuel, if you don't have a new jet just drill the old jet out

You should put some chainsaw performance oil in it they got horsepower while you may blow the motor cuz the boost
I got 2 of the original pocket rocket bikes, 1 was a race bike and topped out at 46mph .. they are fun if you can figure out how to ride them...
when you guys do the video editing, how you do the rolling credits. I can't find one in the Power Director 365. Any Suggestions?

I got a question so is there no air filtration when people do setups like this i feel like I've never seen anything
If it doesn’t work out then maybe stretch the swing arm out so you can have more room up there
Honestly I like BUM better then grind hard (grind hard is still great tho)
