I just finished using Beyond Paint on my kitchen countertops and THIS IS THE BEST!!! Easy peasy to use. I did use MinWax Polyacrylic water based clear matte to finish it off...The sealer STATES: DO NOT SHAKE...STIR ONLY
Key words "just finished". In 6 months, you'll be posting again how the stuff is chipping off left and right and your cabinets are embarrassing. Then, you can spend days stripping them and starting all over with the necessary prep work and real cabinet paint.
Hi, so far so good. We have a friend who used the paint on his countertops a couple years ago and they look good. I'll have to ask how careful he is with them.
I'm curious as to why you would set a hot pan on the counter? Do you you not own hot pads? (not being a smart ass, I've just never set a hot pan on a countertop without a pad or trivet)
What would you recommend if I wanted more of a shine to the counter tops. Right now I'm painting my cabinets white. I will paint the walls gray. This summer when I can keep the cats out, I want to do the countertops like this only with black with the specks. I have a large polished black piece of granit that my nephew gave me that I love and would like the counters to look close to that.
Hi, I would practice on a large piece of cardboard to get a feel for how it comes out of the bottle. It took most of the paint in the containers you see in the video. Check out more home improvement tips in our e-books www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B2KW1FQ9?notRedirectToSDP=1&.
My question is regarding a completely white solid surface (Corian) kitchen countertop. Without using the paint product, can I just apply the sealer, then add the flecks and apply the sealer over the flecks? I'm only wanting to add a subtle color accent to my all white solid surface countertops.
Hi, I would give the company a call, they were helpful with questions I had. Check out some home improvement tips in our e-books www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B2KW1FQ9
I wouldn’t recommend it. Corian is solid surface. You would be “adding” something onto the corian… which would defeat the intention of how corian works

@@FIXITHomeImprovementChannel Hi, Have a couple more questions. First was there a reason you waited 24 hours before wiping off and sanding the flecks, the manual that came with the kit said you only had to wait 1-2 hours. And is the sealer tools clean up with soap and water? Thanks

Hi, it's their BEYOND PAINT COUNTERTOP MAKEOVER KIT We have more home improvement tips on our weekly podcast itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/fix-it-home-improvement/id880903087?mt=2
I am buying this exact product to redo my bathroom counter. It is a laminate counter, but was painted with the rustoleum brand countertop paint a few years ago. That paint was never finished off with a sealant so it has chipped and scuffed and looks terrible. My question is, will i need to apply some type of paint stripper to that rustoleum paint to remove it? Or can the beyond paint be applied on top? Im afraid what will happen to that laminate counter if i use a paint stripper. Maybe I could buff/sand the old paint off instead? Any tips?
Hi, I would give the company a call, they are very helpful. This type of paint if designed to stick to almost any surface including very smooth like ceramics, so you shouldn't have a problem. We've done a couple projects with this and had good results. Check out more home improvement tips on our weekly podcast itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/fix-it-home-improvement/id880903087?mt=2
Yes, but it's pretty hard by a week or two. I did my cabinets with beyond paint and topcoat/sealer, then reassembled them 24 hours later and started using them. I have no chips or problems. You can wash off any splashes or food flecks with water until the curing period is over. I also just started with the countertops. They are hard and useable after 1 week. It is a pain to keep stuff off them for that week, but after that they are ok. And they look 100% better than before!
I skipped the flecks too--I used montana marble spray paint to get a marble effect. Used white beyond paint with silver montana marble on top and I love it!
Hmmm. You sure about that? So all those professionals across the nation who sand and prime and then paint don't know what they're doing? They're just wasting their time and your money? All they need to do is slap some beyond paint on any surface and they're done?
Hi, I took training from the company and the key prep is to clean very well and use a degreaser. The nanotechnology paint will stick to almost any surface without sanding. Similar to Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 primer and other primers. The nanotechnology is pretty interesting. They are creating paints that will repel water and dirt and have other qualities like being conductive for smart devices. We've used this paint for a few projects. One of my friends put it in a rental and it has worn very well.
@CL You missed the point. The point is that there are billion-dollar paint companies, PPG, Sherwin-Williams, RPM etc. etc. These companies are 1000 times bigger than Beyond paint. They have labs that create and test at a capacity 1000 times that of Beyond Paint. If there was technology that worked, these billion-dollar companies would be all over it . That they aren't, tells you 50% of you what you need to know. That all the professional painters aren't using Beyond Paint tells you the other 50% of what you need to know.
Thank you for this clear tutorial. The result was beautiful! I will try it for my countertops.
