    VIDEO SUMMARY:
    Ten top tips to help you find leopards in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
    Many first-time visitors, and even seasoned guests, wonder how to find leopards in the Kgalagadi Tranfrontier Park. In fact, some people go to the park for years and years without seeing a leopard, perhaps because they're unlucky, but more likely because these beautiful cats are scarce, solitary, extremely well-camouflaged and often only active at night. So finding them takes a lot of knowledge, skill and patience.
    In this video I share my top ten tips on how to find leopards in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Let me know in the comments if you have any tips I have missed... And don't forget to leave a like and to subscribe to the channel.

    Another well-known wildlife photographer once experienced a decade long leopard dry spell before spotting one again. I would love to see a serval and also that tiny African wildcat

    Hi Villiers , great video .I have just about decided that Kgalagadi will be my first ever self drive safari .I have been guided on safari twice in Tanzania and had some brilliant experiences but I now need to do something different.If you had to chose one month to visit Kgalagadi which would it be and why .My aim is to spend 2 weeks in the park and I will have my adult son with me to act as back up driver and an extra pair of eyes.Sorry to be predictable but my number one, two and three on my wish list are leopard , cheetah and lion .Many thanks Mark .PS I am from England so my guess is it will be at least 12 months before I can seriously consider travelling.

    I don't know if it's possible but it will be so lovely if you could do it for the animals especially in the Kruger National Park. A wonderful video 😊👍

    Did better than us in same time we were there; but we did have 3 sightings on 4 Feb - adult walking below Tierkop lookout; juvenile drinking Kamfersboom; juvenile hidden in green grass under tree south of Rooiputs & lucky with Honey badger also there in morning

    • @TheSafariExpert
      @TheSafariExpert  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lloyd, I believe the youngster at Kamfersboom was Mpilo - one of the two playing in the tree in my video. Awesome to have three sightings in one day! Well done!

      @@TheSafariExpert So following your helpful video tip I uploaded photos to Kgalagadi Leopard Project, and they identified Mpilo's sister, Minenhla as the young leopard drinking at Kamfersboom. Ikhaya was the Rooiputs sighting. I supplied today more of the long distance shots of the leopard walking below Tierkop Lookout upon request, for them to try to identify that leopard. Thanks again for your interesting lead to them, and informative video.
