    Twee Rivieren rest camp is arguably the most underrated camp in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. It has the best facilities of all the camps in the park and game viewing around Twee Rivieren is some of the best in the whole Kgalagadi! This is due to the fact that you can drive up either the Nossob- or Auob riverbeds, giving you a greater variety of landscapes in which to search for than the other rest camps of the Kgalalagadi.

    Excellent. Really informative esp as TR campsite often by-passed by folks feeling they need to head further into the park.

    Do you have a camp review of Mata Mata?

  • @andrevanassche7490
    @andrevanassche7490 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video, thank you! We have an upcoming trip in September, and we have a choice of either: 2 nights twee rivieren + 2 nights Mata Mata in a river chalet, or just 3 nights Twee Rivieren... We are travelling with a 3y old and a 3 month old, so we are mindful of time in the car. Basing oneself at just one place is less packing etc, but the River Chalets at Mata Mata look nice! what do you reckon?

      Thanks Andre. I would go with option two and go for four nights (two camps). Enjoy!

    Hey Villiers, another great Video, thanks for sharing 👍🏾
    May I ask you, how the payment for a call works, if I would buy myself a SAT phone? Or would you recommend just to rent one?

    • @TheSafariExpert
      @TheSafariExpert  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi My African Dream. If you rent a phone, you pay a day rate for the phone itself and then an additional fee if you actually make calls. The calls are very expensive, but the actual rental fee is very reasonable. Buying the phone is only worth it if you are going to travel with it for months... Perhaps send Shana of Sat4Rent a message and ask for her price list and please tell her that you heard about it on my TH-cam channel 👍🏻🙏🏻

    Hi there. My husband and I stayed once in the chalets in tweet rivieren and had a very bad experience because there where bats inside the chalet. The smell was horrible and they became active at night. We slept under the sheets afraid of them with the lights on. I am afraid that we dont want to return to that camp for that reason. What should we have done to get rid of them? Thank you in advance
