Wonderful series. Several years ago we witnessed a leopard catch a springbok right next to the road. It was amazing. The leopard used the cars to stalk the springbok. My best sighting ever. Kgalagadi never disappoints!
Epic video Villiers. Beautiful sightings all, animals, birds, landscape and sky, truly stunning. But the leopard and meerkats were the cream on the cake. So incredibly beautiful, thank you so much.
Yoh! That leopard sighting 👌🏼 so well filmed as well. Will give Kalahari trails a follow, looks like a great place to visit. Enjoying the these Saturday morning episodes. Looking forward to next week
The brand is Bourbon Eyewear and they’re super cheap. I picked this pair up at the local hardware store. What I love about them is the full coverage (against wind and glare) and they are polarised as well 😎
Great video Villiers. I would love to know your video settings to get such good quality video and exposure on the fly just grabbing and shooting whilst hardly stopping your vehicle lol 🙂
Thanks so much, Albert. I shoot 4K 60fps in Manual Mode, so my shutter speed is 1/125sec, f-stop at its lowest and the ISO in either Auto or whatever gives me the right exposure. When I’m filming with the 100-500 RF I also use a 7-stop variable ND filter to help me keep that f-stop low 🙂 I hope that helps.

Amazing sound, isn’t it?!
Awesome Leopard sighting. Love the meercats. I watch them for hours. Mata mat had some really tiny babies when I was there in October. 😊😊
The meerkats of Mata Mata will feature in the next episode 😉
Beautiful leopard! And really entertaining video in general 👍
