Wow, thanks for posting. I was losing faith in designers, but all of these patterns put the big 4 to shame. All of these are making my list. You just made my day.
The Orchidee Dress reminds me of McCalls 7974 from last year (?). Burda also consistently has great dress patterns (but their tops and blouses are often boring). A lot of indie designers usually have a better way of presenting their patterns, because they don’t use super thin models. I like to sew from the big 4 and Burda (should be the big 5) and also these small pattern companies. The big pattern companies each cater to a specific taste and style. I think McCalls and Burda a the most fashion forward among them (but still a little conservative some times ). I have a Burda magazine subscription and they put out some 20+ patterns every month so there is a lot of stuff that’s not exciting. But there are also a lot of very good stuff and every now and then some gems to be found.
Hi, I just wanted to drop by and say, for anyone who is searching, that the fibremood dress showed is called Maya (in the german version at least, but i think they are all the same as the hashtag is #fibremoodmaya). Thank you for the lovely round up !
There's so many lovely patterns this month. I want to make every dress you've mentioned. Thank you, I look forward to watching your videos every week. It's like sitting with a friend.
Yay! I ordered (from a local shop) the Mile End sweatshirt pattern from Closet Core and just received it today. I don't believe in coincidences. Notice the sleeves have ELBOW DARTS! It's so "couture" and I heard the designer was influenced by Susan Khalje (did I spell that right?). Arms bend...so should your sleeves.
mind blown on the mccalls/liberty collab! I have the mccalls pattern for the esther top - just got it, m7325, recently - but i was looking at esther and considered getting it, lol. thanks for the heads up!
Thank you for this overview of the new releases. I adore the new Deer & Doe patterns! If you have trouble pronouncing the French words, I recommend going to the Larousse dictionnary website (larousse.fr), where you can hear the words pronounced. Good efforts, though! Also, there's a brand new designer that released their first pattern this month, which has the coolest details: Wildflower Designs and the Coquelicot skirt (yes, that word again!). You should definitely check it out! Thanks again for your great work!
I have the Davenport dress and am very excited to sew it up. I have some gingham - do you think it would work in gingham? Would I need to worry about pattern patching particularly on the shoulders/yokes? Thank you x
I bet it would look great in gingham! I would cut the yoke and shoulders on the bias, just as you would when you sew a plaid shirt. Maybe also the ruffled hem ?
@@sphhyn ah I’ve never sewn a plaid shirt, but will look up what you mean as I’ve been dreaming about it in gingham 🤣🤣 and I’ve checked out rtw gingham dresses of which none look patterned matched at all. I’m pretty tough on myself but gonna give it a go - thank you 🙏
If you are wondering, the instructions are also in the magazine and they give fabric advices, measurements for your size and for the final garment for each size. And, like for any pattern ever, you can check the hashtags on Instagram to get inspiration.
I’m wondering how flattering that tie feature on the Closet Core sweatshirt would be however - it would lie right at the area a lot of women don’t want to draw attention to ??? Would be interested in your opinion Kate.
I so love your videos Kate. They are like being given a treat and I save them for when I can sit quietly uninterrupted.
Thanks Kate..great choices!
Thank you Kate - enjoyed this.

Great patterns Kate x
Thanks , Kate, great video as always. Love the Orchidae - reminds me of my going away dress from 1990, which I still have. I can recreate it now!
Very inspiring collection. Thank you!
Oops! A few of the links above are broken! There are some great new releases. Thanks for doing these video 🙂
loved them all! Thanks, Kate for doing these videos :)
First...... 👍. Loving the Marlon sweatshirt. That’s on my to-make list. Also loving the Deer&Doe Orchidae dress. Beautiful
Sherezade (can be spelled a few different ways, since it's a transliteration from Arabic) is the storyteller in One Thousand and One Nights. :)
I clicked because I was hoping you would feature the Davenport dress. First one 😂 Yay 💖👍🏻

Coquelicot is pronounced « Kokaleeko » and orchidée is pronounced « orkeeday ». I love your videos, they’re very relaxing to watch!
Honestly, I sympathize with non francophones learning French. This is such a tricky language!
Great overview, as always. Thanks! PS, your hair is looking FAB :)

@@paulab7517 you’ll do a great job , I am sure ☺️
Do the Fibre Mood magazines contain the patterns too or do you still have to buy them separately?
They contain the patterns in the back of the magazine. They are overlaid so you need to trace them out but they are colour coded to make it easier 👍🏻
@@TheFoldLine thank you 😊
