So fun! Love that Sezane top! I feel heavily influenced by that brand, as they pop up in my Pinterest feed constantly. :) So pretty tucked into the jeans. Pattern you showed for that one was perfect. All of these were so cool.
I immediately thought of the Mccall's pattern for the jumpsuit, as I also went searching for a wrap jumpsuit. I've made it up twice, once with the gathered leg and once with the wide leg. Fun and comfy both ways! I love this series.
For the jumpsuit at 7:23, I searched "Harem jumpsuit" on Etsy and found some very similar! And McCalls M7598 Loose Fitting Jumpsuit - will need neckline adjustment.
For Kelsey’s green dungarees with the knotted straps have you considered the free Pattern Union Phoebe Freebie jumpsuit with both the pocket add-on and the bib add-on? Probably all that would need to be altered would be to crop the legs and add some cuffs. May not be quite as generous in the bottom half but still reasonably wide. (There is also a very funky flared version that I’m in love with.)
Dungarees/ jumpsuits look like they're going to be my next me makes.... especially the Jersey versions ... lockdown lounging..bring it on❤❤ Fabulous options Kate.
For the Phantom Thread dress, you could go with the Scroop patterns Miramar dress if you want the silhouette but in a comfy knit. It has very few pieces and makes up quickly.
Kate, for Gaye's dress from Phantom Thread..... I found an old pattern from my mum's stash.... Butterick 9203. It cost 3 shillings so probably out of print but..... 🤷
For the Death in Paradise Jumpsuit I would suggest the Itch to Stitch Anza Jumpsuit (and dress). You'd just need to shorten the legs to short length. I spotted this short jumpsuit when watching the episode and immediately thought of this pattern, which I have and have made (both jumpsuit and dress). It's pretty spot on, you'd only need to add belt loops and an external tie. The pattern has elastic in the waist and an optional tie through an internal channel.
This is a great suggestion. Look at the N pattern in Yoshiko Tsukiori’s book “Stylish Dress Book: Wear with Freedom.” That’s pretty close. So many of these looks are really reminiscent of the patterns in “Basic Black” by Sato Wantanabe.
For the jumpsuit, old Vogue Pattern (don't know if it could be found anymore, but I immediately thought of Andrea Katz Objects Pattern #1185). I made that jumpsuit and it's absolutely wonderful.
I believe the one @12:21 is the simplicity vintage 7216, and Butterick 4800. There's another one that looks similar and it's a batwing vintage dress. Can't seem to find it though, looks just like that one.
McCalls 7350 for the Phantom Thread dress, the pattern is for knit fabrics and has no sleeves 🤣🤣 but the neckline is very similar. I don't know how you do it for all these different requests 💕💓
Laughing Moon Mercantile has a pattern for a regency pelisse (the name of this style of coat) similar to the one from Emma. Also I am pretty confident that MyVintageWish on Etsy would have something similar to that Phantom Thread 50s ish dress. You should look up reproductions of vintage patterns for anything with a square neckline or puff sleeves haha (especially 30s to 70s stuff)
Thanks, I really enjoy this series. The Death in Paradise playsuit also looks similar to the short version of the jumpsuit taught in the Alice & Co Stashbuster draft your own jumpsuit classes (online class).
I googled 1940's dress patterns and came up with a lot of options. Some were on Etsy but there was one that is a Retro Butterick pattern. Sorry I didn't jot down the number. These have the same silhouette as the inspiration pic. The second one is the shorts/romper. Check out the Ladies Sunday Romper by Love Notions Patterns. It doesn't have the button placket, but it could be added. It does have the v neck and the same silhouette. Really enjoy these videos.
For the wide legged dungarees you could use the pattern in the newest Tilly and the Buttons book. All you'd have to do is shorten the trouser legs and sew a band on the hems.
Lovely video, as always! I just want to point out that for the 1940's dress, there is a pattern that is basically the same in the January 2021 Burdastyle magazine, I think it's style number 111.
Although it’s a wrap dress, you could look at McCall’s 6986 (Palmer Pletsch) for the Phantom Thread dress. Or poke around using the search terms “dress pattern dolman midriff” - you might find a true vintage pattern.
I would have suggested Closet Case Pattern - the Sallie Maxi and Jumpsuit - for the wrapped jumpsuit, instead of McCalls 8047. It isn't wrapped but it's elasticized at the waist and has the v-neck.
Thank you for another inspiring video Kate. Another option for the second before last shirt dress is the peppermint magazine free pattern for a robe jacket. If you look up the one @justjennaish made it looks spot on! It has the wide sleeves like the inspiration photos.
Love this series. Maybe the Fibremood Mindy dress might give a similar vibe to the square neck dress and the Style 1014 dress for the 1940s v neck dress? X
@@kckazcoll1 I hear you. I like that you get 3 different looks from one pattern though. Instructions are really clear and the pattern itself is really good quality! Much better than the big 4.
Hi my first time watching your channel love it x saw a pattern i thought would work for the boho slouch dungaree shorts.. sold at felicity fabric True bias called Yari jumpsuit x
For the green dungarees, you might look at the patterns in the Yoga Hound Etsy store. FYI, I’ve made the coverup and her instructions are in the sparse mode similar to Style Arc.
For the 40s style dress, actually the Mayfair from Nina Lee might work better as a starting point than the Parklane. You would really just need to change the skirt to a pencil skirt.
Hey, how about the Mccalls M8165 for the green dungarees? The legs seem really close, and you'd just need to lower the "trunk" sides and slightly alter the neckline?
I think you do a really good job with matching patterns as near as you can to the styles. The only one I loved this time was that blouse with the scalloped edge sleeves. Beautiful. A question! How does one go to the toilet when wearing a jump suit? Do you have to take the whole thing off? Just curiosity!
Inside the Hem did a first impressions pattern review of an indie designer (may have even Australian) last year that had a pattern with a bodice very similar to the dungarees... you’d probably just need to cuff the legs in the way suggested by Kate.
For the second top there is actually a pattern that is very similar, it's called the belted sweater from the digital pattern library, it's pretty bang on (did i use that expression correctly?)
I am looking for a pattern for a ladies cowgirls shirt with piped seams. I have got one on eBay from u.S A postage costly. Have you a less expensive one?
My suggestion for the baggy denim overalls would be to cuff this romper / jumpsuit from Pattern Union www.makerist.com/patterns/phoebe-flares-trousers-or-jumpsuit-add-on
The grey t-shirt jumpsuit is very similar to both the Sallie by Close Core: store.closetcorepatterns.com/products/sallie-jumpsuit-pattern-maxi-dress-sewing-pattern and the Nova by True Bias: shop.truebias.com/product/nova-jumpsuit-sz-0-18-pdf
I'm halfway through the video and had to jump on right away because I know the perfect pattern for the comfy t-shirt jumpsuit. It's the Lisa lounge wear set by #StyleSewMe patterns. As soon as I saw the inspiration picture, I thought that's what you'd show for your pattern match. View E without the hoodie is practically perfect! stylesewme.com/product/lisa-loungewear-sewing-pattern-pdf/
For the Phantom Thread dress, how about Burdastyle 122 1/2018 www.burdastyle.com/stretch-dress-122-01-18.html - not exactly the same but a similar fit and retro feel with dolman sleeves.
The jumpsuit from ‘peppermint magazine’ looks like it would work for the cosy jumpsuit. You would need to add sleeves. It’s a woven. Could you make it in a knit? peppermintmag.com/sewing-school/jumpsuit/
That’s what I was going to suggest. And yes, it works great in a knit. I wanted to make a jumpsuit like the Smash and Tess ones for my daughter and Emily was awesome and helping me to alter the pattern for knits.
For the phantom thread dress there's this vintage blouse pattern with the same grown-on sleeves, not sure how you'd get hold of it but you might be able to work off the line drawing. pin.it/6037B3m
For the grey knit jumpsuit, I'd suggest the Toona Jumpsuit by Nanna Pattern Designs, You'd have to add sleeves though nannapatterndesign.de/product/schnittmuster-jumpsuit-toona-e-book/
Sleepless in Bavaria made a pattern recently that's really similar to the dress from the phantom thread (instagram.com/p/CJ-0ceklhG-/?) it's the vogue v8825
That sezzane blouse would be perfect to make out of a vintage linen table cloth.
Great pattern suggestions!! I especially liked the Coeli and the Overlap.
Thank you.
OMG I am definitely going to try out 7:30 thank you for the pattern suggestion and also thank you for the person who requestes it too!! Love you all!!
For the jumpsuit at 7:23, I searched "Harem jumpsuit" on Etsy and found some very similar! And McCalls M7598 Loose Fitting Jumpsuit - will need neckline adjustment.
Love these videos! I think for the Death in Paradise playsuit, the Alexa Playsuit from Tilly and the buttons is a pretty good match x
I thought that too🙂
For Kelsey’s green dungarees with the knotted straps have you considered the free Pattern Union Phoebe Freebie jumpsuit with both the pocket add-on and the bib add-on? I love it when you do this kind of video. Thank you for sharing.
I love this series! Thanks Kate!

Fabulous options Kate.
For the Phantom Thread dress, you could go with the Scroop patterns Miramar dress if you want the silhouette but in a comfy knit. It has very few pieces and makes up quickly.
Thanks Kate, entertaining and inspiring as usual!
If you are looking for historican patterns (Emma & 1940 style), the Reconstructing History website has lots of patterns from different eras.
Yay, another Find My Pattern! I love this series... ❤️❤️
For the tee-shirt jumpsuit , there is the Millie slouchy jumpsuit from Workshop. It is in an ebook called the loungewear edit (stretch version),
I second this one. Thought of the Millie immediately.
Kate, for Gaye's dress from Phantom Thread..... I found an old pattern from my mum's stash.... Butterick 9203. It cost 3 shillings so probably out of print but..... 🤷
Thanks Kate, you did good😀

I love this series. Great idea. Who would have thought!! Thank you
For the slouchy green overalls I’d suggest looking at Japanese pattern books. I’ve seen very similar styles in a few of them!
This is a great suggestion. Look at the N pattern in Yoshiko Tsukiori’s book “Stylish Dress Book: Wear with Freedom.” That’s pretty close. So many of these looks are really reminiscent of the patterns in “Basic Black” by Sato Wantanabe.

Fabulous Kate, thankyou so much 🥰
McCalls has a tiered skirt pattern M8150 Tillary skirt which could be combined with the squared neck top of the dress you recommended.
For the jumpsuit you might want to check out BurdaStyle 04/2020. And check out the vintage like patterns in 10/2020 and 11/2020 for the vintage dress.
McCalls 7350 for the Phantom Thread dress, the pattern is for knit fabrics and has no sleeves 🤣🤣 but the neckline is very similar. I don't know how you do it for all these different requests 💕💓
Vagazzly again Kate. Love it. X
Sense and sensibility regency Spencer pattern. Or laughing moon patterns does a spencer/pelisse pattern. (Lm 137).
I came here to suggest this same pattern
Love your videos..MORE!!!
For the Emma coat/jacket? Try Sense and Sensibility patterns. They’ve got a couple of those styles of jackets.
And for the t-shirt jumpsuit, the Sirocco from Deer and Doe might work with a few modifications.
For the wrap dress, you could use the hack of the Helen’s Closet Suki Robe that Helen has on the blog. Very similar look.
Love these videos Kate 💕
I googled 1940's dress patterns and came up with a lot of options. Some were on Etsy but there was one that is a Retro Butterick pattern. Sorry I didn't jot down the number. It doesn't have the button placket, but it could be added. It does have the v neck and the same silhouette. Really enjoy these videos.
Also, regarding the design from the Phantom Thread, McCalls 7974 has the same sort of dirndl waist that could be merged with another pattern.
For the Death in Paradise jumpsuit, try Tilly and the Buttons Alexa jumpsuit and playsuit
I agree. You would hack it to get the V neck and add a waist band. But a good starting point as Kate always says :)
Although it’s a wrap dress, you could look at McCall’s 6986 (Palmer Pletsch) for the Phantom Thread dress. Or poke around using the search terms “dress pattern dolman midriff” - you might find a true vintage pattern.
For the green dungarees I immediately thought of the Helen’s closet York. And for the t-shirt jumpsuit, check out Love Notions Sunday romper
I would have suggested Closet Case Pattern - the Sallie Maxi and Jumpsuit - for the wrapped jumpsuit, instead of McCalls 8047. It isn't wrapped but it's elasticized at the waist and has the v-neck.
For the Death in Paradise playsuit the Yari jumpsuit from True Bias is a pretty good match!
T-SHIRT ONESIE, Style So Me Patterns Lisa. Comes with 3 options. The ONESIE is really comfortable and is easy to make.
The Lisa pattern is a perfect match for the onesie!
great match, I just had a look. Expensive to buy in Aus dollars - $35
@@kckazcoll1 I hear you. I like that you get 3 different looks from one pattern though. Instructions are really clear and the pattern itself is really good quality! Much better than the big 4.
OMG! This is SPOT ON!! Very good sleuthing 😁
Hello! For the Phantom Thread black dress I had a few options I thought were a good start:
Butterick B5850
Butterick B6658
McCall’s M7991
Hi my first time watching your channel love it x saw a pattern i thought would work for the boho slouch dungaree shorts.. sold at felicity fabric True bias called Yari jumpsuit x
For the green dungarees, you might look at the patterns in the Yoga Hound Etsy store. FYI, I’ve made the coverup and her instructions are in the sparse mode similar to Style Arc.
For the puffy sleeves with tiered ruffles - another option might be the Mindy dress from Fibremood.
For the 1940s dress, Vogue V9326 could work for the top section or V1653 is pretty similar.
For the green jumpsuit sent in by Sara / Sarah - what about the ‘Alexa playsuit’ from Tilly and the Buttons
That's the pattern that came to mind as soon as I saw this one too 😁
I agree
This is also what I was thinking
I thought it could also be the Yari jumpsuit (shorts version) by True Bias if you added a waist tie.
Butterick 6471 from the 50s is a pretty good match for the Phantom thread dress!
Kaaaate, who is Raylene that sent in that pattern. I need to know 😂😂😂
Hi Rayleen here always love meeting other Raylene’s
@@rayleenwallace8750 Hi Rayleen 😁🤗❤️
Love your contents...
For the 40s style dress, actually the Mayfair from Nina Lee might work better as a starting point than the Parklane. You would really just need to change the skirt to a pencil skirt.
The nova jumpsuit by true bias is very similar to the gray t-shirt jumpsuit. Very very similar.
For Gaye for the Phantom Thread dress, maybe - Butterick Pattern B6242 Misses' Dress ?
For the jersey jumpsuit what about Mccalls 7936? It's woven but you could always size down to make it in jersey.
How about the Adeline wrap dress for the Phantom Thread dress
Hey, how about the Mccalls M8165 for the green dungarees? The legs seem really close, and you'd just need to lower the "trunk" sides and slightly alter the neckline?
I believe Burda Style Magazine 12/2020 issue has a vintage dress similar.
I think you do a really good job with matching patterns as near as you can to the styles. The only one I loved this time was that blouse with the scalloped edge sleeves. Beautiful. A question! How does one go to the toilet when wearing a jump suit? Do you have to take the whole thing off? Just curiosity!
What about the Anza jumpsuit by Itch to Stitch for the playsuit?
Inside the Hem did a first impressions pattern review of an indie designer (may have even Australian) last year that had a pattern with a bodice very similar to the dungarees... you’d probably just need to cuff the legs in the way suggested by Kate.
The jumpsuit for Haley might be better using Simplicity 8178 instead of the McCalls (which is for a jersey).
The Style So Me Lisa pattern would be a good option for the lounge jumpsuit.
Yes! I was also thinking this!
What about Ellie and Mac South Shore romper suit for the wrap over jumpsuit?
Jumpsuit, Now and Then Beach PJs as an alternative?
It might help to know that the coat from Emma is called a pelisse. That might narrow down the search for a pattern slightly.
The true bias nova jumpsuit is very close to the gray t-shirt jumpsuit.
For the last Jacket maybe the "Boho Jacket " by Labavarese would also work ...
What about Seamwork Lucy for the t shirt jump suit
For the slouchy jumpsuit, I thought the Closet Core Amy jumpsuit might work, if you just add cuffs to the legs.
Phantom Thread dress is somewhat similar to the Wildwood Dress?
For the 40s dress what about Butterick 6266?
Also for the 40s dress Burda 6365?
The Phantom Thread pattern from Folkwear patterns Glamour Girl 233
Vagazzly 😂
Just found a knit jumpsuit by Threadcount 2011. You could just alter the neckline.
The water Lilly dress by mood sewciety for the frilly skirt square neck dress ( free pattern )
Jumpsuit. Simplicity 8520 has a zip up but otherwise similar
You can get some really nice vintage themed dress patterns at Sew Over It.
For the Tshirt jump suit, another baseline to work with could be this one : www.lovenotions.com/product/sunday-romper-ladies
For the second top there is actually a pattern that is very similar, it's called the belted sweater from the digital pattern library, it's pretty bang on (did i use that expression correctly?)
yes :)
For the belted top, had you thought of @digitalpatternlibrary #dplbelted ? It’s almost exactly the same.
The second pattern could be the Sew Simple Juliette top
Sorry Simple Sew!
