If anyone here as a viewer knows products that actually taste similair to fresh ones, or even more just have the taste you can tell that this IS durian (never had it) I would loooove to know, thanks for sharing ^^/

Angela Ness durian is either you hate it or love it. so, can't say until you taste it yourself. in Malaysia, we have very wide range of durian species, every each of it have a slight different of aroma and taste. some have sweet buttery caramel smell while others smell like a rotten onion. personally, I like sweet smell ones that kinda hard to get, usually the tree grow near or in the jungle. hope you able to taste it someday. fresh fruit taste very different from frozen one. here in Malaysia, we only eat durian that fell naturally from the tree. what I know, some country pick it from the tree before its ripe.

I've heard durian described as the smell of rotten onions. But I've also heard that the flavor is actually sweet and not at all the same as the smell. I would like to try one, but you can't get it fresh here, only frozen and I would wonder if the flavor is changed at all by the freezing process.

Mostly they taste sweet and creamy like pudding.. but there are different types of durians, dpending on the region it is from.. theres bitter sweet, rich n creamy, some have firm flesh some are soft.. they smell nice actually but if u place them in an air conditioned room, the room will smell like vomit.. just my opinion..
