      Perfect choice of sweets, all of them are delicious. (Never tried the Elbkiesel, it is an expensive eye-catcher for tourists in every city with different names - but they love it :) )

      But I've noticed, that many Japanese native speakers have a really good German pronunciation.

    • @MrTakohara
      @MrTakohara 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah I have noticed that too. German was in fact the language of Japanese physicians for decades. Also I have seen German words on posters and ads when I was in Japan.

    Fun Fact:
    Scho-Ka-Kola was invented in 1935 by the company "Hildebrand, Kakao- und Schokoladenfabrik GmbH" in Berlin.
    8 pieces of it has as much caffeine as a normal cup of coffee.
    It became a standart part of the food rations of the german military in WW2.
    Mostly for the Luftwaffe (Airforce) and the U-Bootbesatzungen (Submarine crews).

    • @joannegray5138
      @joannegray5138 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      One of the MRE reviewers (think it was Steve 1989) found one of these in an old German ration and it was still edible even though the tin was rusted.

    • @NRubric
      @NRubric 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Captain Geno
      No it hadn't.
      That myth came up because the drug "Methamphetamine" was called "Panzerschokolade" by the soldiers and Scho-Ka-Kola had the nick name "Fliegerschokolade".
      So people think/thought that Scho-Ka-Kola had drugs in it too.

    *Greetings from the northern/east Part of Hamburg, called "Rahlstedt", its the most populous District of Hamburg ;)*
    2:14 *"Elbkiesel" means: A special Stone (Kiesel in German = Pebble in English) from the Elbe (Hamburgs biggest River)", so its a eatable "Stone from the Elbe" ;)*
    *The Rest of the Snacks are verry interessting too and not as well known as the other famous Stuff you can Found all over TH-cam, so its nice to see rare Snacks in your Vdeo :)*
    *Dana and Christian have a VERY NICE TASTE, so i must send a German Message: Ihr habt echt die besten und interessantesten Sachen ausgesucht und nicht immer diesen langweiligen gleichen Kram wie in Millionen anderen Videos, DANKE für diese Spezialitäten und Urgesteine deutscher Leckereien, denn sowas sieht man höchst selten, erst recht von Nichtdeutschen gegessen ;)*

    Those kuhbonbon are fudge. And after looking things up, it seems like Japan doesn't have fudge at all, except as a fashion magazine for women. I did find something called nama chocolate, which is similar to fudge but not the same. It's so weird there isn't proper fudge in Japan.

    The picture of Justin behind you looks like he's peeking through the violets at the camera. :) The reason the Kuhbonbon doesn't stick to your teeth like other caramels is because it's a fudge candy, which is cooked differently from chewy caramels so it has that distinct, soft texture.
