    Thank you, Michelle and Keith, for the amazing treats from Hawaii! I would most like to try the furikake chips...they look really interesting to me! Everything looked really delicious, and it was so cute to see Justin enjoying his special treat at the end of the video, too! Once again, thanks for another day-brightening video. Shinichi and Satoshi, I'm so grateful to you!

    What a nice present from Michellle and Keith! I really want to try the furikake shrimp chips. Ha ha, I hate Spam, so I don't think I'd be a fan of the macadamia nuts. Marukai sells sample-sized packages of Hawaiian Host chocolate. I sometimes buy one if I want to indulge a little. Thanks and have a good weekend!

    Don't want to gross anyone out, but I'm 52, grew up on Maui, I remember dipping Won Ton Chips in ketchup and yellow mustard. It was heaven. Haven't tasted that in at least 35 years and it's probably best that I never do it again.

    That square piece you were holding up asking what it was called... it is a "Hot Pad". It is called a "Hot Pad" because you use it to set hot cooking or bakeware onto after you take it out of the oven or off the burner of your cooking stove. Keeps them from damaging the surface you are setting it on. Hope this was helpful! :)

But I'm not sure if any of your other subs have mentioned them, but on the last livestream they had, your names were brought up 🤗. If you can, you should try to reach out to them! no such thing as 100% hawaiian macadamia nut. macadamia nuts come from australia and new caledonia has one species. so at best they are only 100% hawaiian grown.

  • @muzza1967
    @muzza1967 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hawaii needs to thank Australia for the macadamia nut, it was imported in 1910 as crop to supplement coffee growing plantations. In 1922 Ernest Van Tassel formed the Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Co.

    • @secretdiaryofafoodie
      @secretdiaryofafoodie 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol, we're doing pretty well in the macadamia nut business in Aus, so I wouldn't bother getting another country to thank us 🤣. Speaking of, I actually had wasabi macadamia nuts the other day, the combo works well!

    • @lmaree200886
      @lmaree200886 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      muzza1967 You mean thank Australian Aboriginals for the Macadamia nut as they were the first to eat them. You're a bit off on the timeline too. They were introduced into Hawaii to serve as a windbreak to protect sugarcane crops in 1880ish. It wasn't until 30 years later were they used for supplement coffee crops :)
