    Hi James,
Quite right to suggest actual work related manual handling activities as part of the practical training process. For the last approx. 4 years firms I've worked for on Highways England and highways term maintenance contracts have outsourced their manual handling training to Pristine conditions, they do exactly what you mention which if I'm honest was a breath of fresh air, look them up as their brand and style is strong and so could be of use.
I have no affiliation or connection to them, just enjoyed their take on it. In a way we untrain ourselves from best practice as a kid, only noticing our errors when we end up with an injury. Trouble is most injuries take years to develope to the point where we finally listen to our bodies and take notice. Good talks, keep it fresh 👍

Great tips James. So many people make it over complicated when it comes to MH. I am just about revamp how we do MH and I am definitely going to use some of your tips. Thank you, Adam.

      Hey Adam,
Best of luck in your revamp, its no easy task.
Manual handling is actually quite hard to get right I find, the HSE did some research on MH training and found that you are better off investing in subsidised gym memberships than training!!
The Safety of Work podcast summerise it well, check them out!
