Just bought my chef nephew some plain, correctly non-slip (for smooth surfaces) chef protective shoes. They don't look like classic 'safety boots' so he can go dancing in them too, ha-ha. Others in the kitchen now have 'shoe envy'. Ridiculous gift, but comfy feet are critical for someone on them for10 hours a day.
I used to be a chef and I would have hugely appreciated that as a present great work!!
