  • This is what a typical day of eating looks like for me, and it has helped me to maintain a healthy weight while not needing to obsess about calories or restrict. I'm showing you how to eat a high raw (raw til 4) diet similar to mine, and how to adapt it to optimize your weight loss, maintain your current weight, or gain healthy weight. You'll get to enjoy fruits and veggies and other whole foods in abundance, which are low in calories, high in water content, high in nutrients, and high in volume, leaving you feeling full, satiated, and nourished on a plant-based diet!

    My absolute favourite currently is walnut/almond butter. Raw - 2 cups walnuts, 2 cups almonds, into the food processor for about 10-15 minutes, tastes amazing!

    Clicked so fast! Exactly what me & my husband need. There is so much info out there and it can be too confusing and cause you to give up. I was getting tired of making different meals for us so this helps so much to know what I can be adding to meals as well as extra meals. #1 vegan inspo ❤️🌱🥑

    i used to have an unhealthy obsession with food and counting calories and switching to a whole food plant-based diet changed my life. it completely flipped the script on the way i think about food and my health. not only that- it improved my relationship with myself, allowed me to expand my consciousness and gain compassion for all beings, and has allowed me to continue my journey inward. I love this lifestyle! 🌱✨💙

    I winged it when making my green smoothie and its really good! About half a bag of cubed butternut squash, about a teaspoon of ground ginger, about two bananas sliced and frozen, one whole kiwi no skin, teaspoon of chia seeds, one full scoop of neocell super collagen, one full scoop of country farms fresh super greens, one whole avocado, one whole golden crisp apple, half of a bottle of water, and half a can of goya coconut milk

    Absolutely love LOVE your TH-cam channel! Three years ago I tried a more plant based nutritional menu due to GI difficulties. My doctor advised adding more and more greens and starches to my meals for fiber as I had been getting a lot protein from chicken and tuna. That was the key.... more FIBER! I definitely love the way I’m feeling with this nutritional plan! Almost 100% plant based now!

    Your sustain looks almost identical what I've been eating the last 11 years lol :)
    Think having consistent/ reliable energy everyday, has been the biggest benefit.
    Although, I do leave a little wiggle room for "vegan junk food", and my fat is higher; as intermittent fasting has worked really well for me (never been a morning eater anyways lol).
    As well as other means of fasting, over the years.
    Much love to you, beautiful family ❤

    I just started the transition to becoming vegan for purely health reasons, but i loved this video. planning on doing some sorts of small variations to this and eating these meals all week. might be a tad boring but I am most concerned about the health benefits. I enjoyed animal proteins for too long and i am paying for it now. but i am excited for the journey ahead! also.. im sure it wont be boring... im just used to crap food! thank you for the vid.. you guys are always glowing in your videos and it makes me hopeful for a healthy future!

    I love your videos and your lovely little family. I appreciate the detailed explanation and ton of information. THANK YOU
    For me breakfast and lunch are the easy meals --> so used to oatmeal & fruit (or porridge as we say in the UK :-), salad for lunch (I usually have 1/2 cup of black beans with my veggies to keep me full).
    What I struggle with is early afternoon hunger/cravings - I will try to incorporate the 3pm snack --> the only issue I have with it is that if I have too much I don't want dinner at dinner time and if I don't have the snack I get super tired/hungry by 4.30 pm. Need to find the right time and portion to make it just enough.
    Dinners in my family has to cater for 3 non vegan and me. However my lovely non vegans (husband, teenage daughter and toddler daughter) love veggies, so I can adapt majority of vegan meals for them.
    Looking forward your next video

    Thanks for sharing and taking the time to explain the differences around gaining - maintaining - losing weight. I'm a mom to 2 very energetic boys. I'm breastfeeding for almost 4 years in a row, my 1st son for 2 years, all the way through my 2nd pregnancy and jumped right in with my 2nd son, who is 22 months now and still going strong 💪 But I was not eating so healthy with both my pregnancies and I gained A LOT of weight, and decrease enourmesly the amount of exercise (BTW, would be great if you could share some of your tricks and tips to exercise since having a baby 🙏). Recently I have been feeling terrible, like I'm constantly sick, and having plenty of health issues. No one likes to feel that way, right? The answer from my doctors?! Pills, pills, and more pills. No surprise. I know it will take a little bit of time until I manage to feel like myself again, but i refused the medications and decided to do it the natural way. Your channel is one of my go to's to keep it simple, efficient and healthy. Intuitively I'm having only a green smoothie for breakfast and it keeps me full until lunch (Another thing: I have terrible problems with taking the greens raw, so I cook them for few minutes just to soften them and I've seen great improvement with my digestion - it's not totally raw, but it works. Anyone having similar problem? Why is that? And how to fix it?). Now with summer it's easier to have a salad for lunch, but I have troubles with eating salads during the winter. And anyways I'm surprised with all the amount of food that you guys suggest!!! Beautiful family anyways. Keep shining light and bright 💫✨🌟🌞👌💛

    QUESTION: my hubby needs to lose weight! Since going vegan he fills up ok hummus and nuts! Like I get it’s healthy but omg portion control buddy! How much should he have a day?!

    • @EatMoveRest
      @EatMoveRest  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends what the rest of his diet looks like during the day too, but calories really add up so quickly with those foods!

    Great video! Oatmeal for breakfast is cooked meal. How are you eating raw if you have oatmeal in the morning? How do you get the oatmeal mushy? Plant based milk? Why the stove instead of the pot?

    • @EatMoveRest
      @EatMoveRest  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe you missed it but I've addressed before that I'm not a strict raw til 4 vegan. I allow myself what I want when I want it, but primarily raw til 4. I typically make oatmeal for my hubby and toddler. :)

    Thanks for the video. Are you familiar with the science suggesting eating most of your calories in the morning is most beneficial for weight loss?
    The “breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a popper”idea?
    Thoughts?

    • @EatMoveRest
      @EatMoveRest  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We’ve heard that, but find that we are both typically more hungry later on in the day, and have felt fine with bigger dinner portions as long as we eat early enough and not too close to bedtime!
