Cold pressed oliveoil is very healthy. Do not be afraid of that kind of fat. I eat small portion with a little oliveoil and I have lost 58 kg in a year plus. From 115 to 57 kg. Doing lite exercise. I eat oat porridge ones a week. Fresh herbs everyday, salat, No potatoes. No bread due to intolerance. Fruit, various nuts, dried fruit.
Sorry you are wrong it’s too calorie dense as Chelsea said. Instead of those calories you can eat more nutritious foods. Oil is not a natural product the olives it is squeezed out of are what you should e at.
Cold pressed olive oil is an easy way to add healthy fat and antioxidants to your diet if your meal happens to lack it with your available ingredients. 1 tablespoon in 1 meal, like a salad, for the day isn’t going to cause anyone to gain weight as long as you adjust your calorie allowance for your other meals accordingly. No food is going to make you gain weight when eaten in moderation. Key word: moderation.
@@dj.h7424 It most definitely does not meet the definition of a true empty calorie food due to the fact it is not devoid of nutritional value. Edit: Cold pressed olive oil that is, as that is what OP specifically mentioned.
I have been following many of your tips for the past month. I’m loving how satisfied I feel eating so many veggies, and the rolling prep has been the life hack I’ve always needed! I’ve finally won my battle with the binge! The tweaks I’ve had to make are the tofu and the oats- my digestive system doesn’t handle beans or grains well. I’ve replaced the tofu with local, pastured, organic chicken breast that I prepare without oil in my air fryer, and replaced the oats with eggs (from my backyard hens) and winter squash, and I now feel like my diet is exactly right for me. I appreciate you for inspiring me to make these small but HUGE changes Chelsea! Thank you from Ohio:)
I recently started eating beans after a lifetime of never eating them because it made me so bloated. I learned that you need to boil once, dump the water, rinse, then boil again. If they're canned, I rinse them really well then boil. No more tummy upsets!
And vinegars! There are so many wonderful flavors! I typically make a quick dressing. A good one is lemon, garlic, salt, maple syrup or stevia drops, and salt. You can add a little evoo too. ❤
This video is so helpful! I have been a vegan for years and have lost weight successfully in the past, but since 2020, I have completed menopause, and got a desk job, and have gained 20 pounds! I was diagnosed with heart failure last week and my first lifestyle change is my diet. I've eaten a 75% vegan diet for the past year (I occasionally use cheese and butter) but its included all the Impossible and Beyond meat substitutes which I know aren't super healthy. I'm switching over to beans, legumes, tofu and tempeh as my main protein sources. I've also decided to stop counting macros and trust my hunger cues for a while. My 1lb of veggies will probably be cabbage, it's so versatile!

Hi! I’m also in a family of meat eaters and in post-menopause - Chelsea’s tips work amazingly for me! Give it a try and enjoy those big plates of colorful food 😊
About oats: you can also make them savory. I like them with pesto (especially tomato pesto), or curry paste and coconut milk. Also, you can mix in maybe 5-10% chia and flaxseeds into the oatmeal for extra nutrition, including omega-3s.
Content GOLD! Love all the 10 hacks here. The plant based diet, starch solution and WFPB principles plus normalizing the ‘ease’ of meal prepping makes this all sooo doable and non overwhelming! Thank you for this amazing video, Chelsea!
Oats always makes me feel starved a while after eating 🥣 never had that full feeling on oats, i know oats its for some a big hunger trigger. I eat greek fat free yoghurt insted and feel much better and not starved. Great video 👍🏼
I agree even whit protein its still a trigger. And all the toppings is also just a trigger and adding calories… i know oats/porridge work fine for most but for some its just gonna make you more hungry. I been dieting for years for bodybuilding competitions and have tryed alot of different diets/scheduales… I tryed eating oats everyday for weeks until i almost lost my Will to live… switching to eggs and yougurt made ALL the differense, not feeling hungry having my stomach growl 5 min later.
Great tips Chelsea. I am skinny fat and desperately trying to loose these last 5kg. Will give it a try. By the way how many g of protein do you consume more or less. Thanks for all the motivation and tips. You look great!
I have a dilemma in my household where i am trying to maintain weight loss and gain muscle so i eat a lot of veggies and try to keep a lower calorie density. My wife on the other hand is someone who struggles to gain weight and is an athlete so she is very active and sometimes becomes underweight so she is trying to have a higher calorie density and includes oil and processed food in her diet to try and keep her weight in a healthy range. She also hates soup & oatmeal while i love them so there are times where i make those just for me. I am also 100% vegan and she is not, probably about 75% plant based. We've made it work but its definitely been a challenge.
Hi! Thanks for the video. I don’t usually comment but I’m glad I stayed on till tip no. 10! I’m commenting because of that! I needed to hear that. Thank you. 🙏🏽💖
WOW! Good tips. Thank you! Fail faster?! I've never heard that before now.....I'm Implementing a few of these starting tomorrow especially the 'Fail faster'. ❤
Chucking sweet juicy fruit (e.g. sweet orange, mango, etc.) into a salad (along with a little bit of avocado (e.g. 1/4) if you're OK with it) plus fresh herbs can create a sort of dressing just by tossing the salad.
when I make crock pot chicken breast with potato and cabbage I always noticed a one or two day weight loss after I eat it I think if I combine this meal with a rolling veggie prep routine I think I’ll might do better
I use Needlers grocery (in the states) hot salsa on salads and veggies instead of oil or dressing it's hot salsa so revs metabolism and only 10 calories per tablespoon plus you get loads of flavor and extra veggies
What’s a good replacement for vegeta in the states? Also, would love more tips/recipes for prepping veg so they don’t become boring! What salad dressing do you use if you’re avoiding oil? Thank you!!
For lunch I’m by myself and component bowls work, but when I cook dinner for my family I want to eat some of it as well. It’s WFPB SOS free and usually more of a sauce. It is higher in calories with nuts because the rest of my family needs it😁 I would love some ideas on how to incorporate more veg with a family meal 😊
That was very helpful, thank you! I especially need to drastically reduce oil, I think. I don‘t really struggle with my weight but I have noticed that I am putting on extra pounds over time, like 2 a year (I am 47), and I want that to stop before it adds up too much.
Boy oh boy, I needed to hear all this again! I love how you focus on doing things that make life easier. I'm going to focus on the store bought hummus and eating potatoes and a veggie at every lunch and dinner. I love your opinion on weighing. I thrive on weighing myself regularly. In the past, on various group programs, the rule was to not weigh more than once a week, and that drove me crazy. I just like and need the feedback. I don't mind seeing the fluctuations.
I make my oatmeal with chocolate almond meal, ground flax, stevia, a small scoop of powdered peanut butter, and a quarter cup mix of almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and tiny bits of dried mango. SO delicious and satisfying.
I like most of your tips, except about the benefits of olive oil, I use too avoid all fats but my doctor explained that our brain needs heathy fats. Olive oil is high in monounsaturated fats, particularly oleic acid, which is known to reduce inflammation and may have beneficial effects on genes linked to cancer. It contains a variety of antioxidants that can help protect against chronic diseases by reducing oxidative stress. The antioxidants in olive oil, particularly oleocanthal, have been shown to mimic the effects of ibuprofen in reducing inflammation. Regular consumption of olive oil is associated with improved heart health, including lower cholesterol levels and reduced risk of heart disease. Some studies suggest that olive oil intake is linked to a reduced risk of strokes, the second largest killer in developed countries. The antioxidants in olive oil may help prevent cancer by reducing oxidative damage to cells. Certain compounds in olive oil, such as oleuropein, have antibacterial properties and can inhibit or kill harmful bacteria.
Olive oil helps protect us from the solanins in potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini-which is why the greeks drench these veggies in olive oul before roasting them. It also protects us from the lectins in legumes.
You rock! You’ve helped my weight-loss journey so easy. I also make my own seitan - which would you recommend: tofu or seitan? Many many thanks for sharing your knowledge😊
Thank you for this video. I really want to try it! I did tried once a salad but without oil it was awful 😖 too crunchy and tasteless. Is there a better option than hummus? And a soup, without oil? Can you show how you do this? Thank you so much 💖

Eat it as oat porridge made with milk and water
For me, oats make me extremely hungry, even with protein source
I agree even whit protein its still a trigger. And all the toppings is also just a trigger and adding calories… i know oats/porridge work fine for most but for some its just gonna make you more hungry.
I been dieting for years for bodybuilding competitions and have tryed alot of different diets/scheduales…
I tryed eating oats everyday for weeks until i almost lost my Will to live… switching to eggs and yougurt made ALL the differense, not feeling hungry having my stomach growl 5 min later.
Straight to the point and full of knowledge. Thank you!
WOW
THIS IS GOOD AND USEFUL INFORMATION!
THANK YOU!
Great tips Chelsea. I am skinny fat and desperately trying to loose these last 5kg. Will give it a try. By the way how many g of protein do you consume more or less. Thanks for all the motivation and tips. You look great!
also exercise, increase 1 rep each day eg sit-ups, squats, you be amazed how much stronger and tighter things feel after a month
Now try having a buncha kids with different needs and preferences 😅 I don't know HOW people plan meals! It's exhausting!!
Hi! Thanks for the video.
I don’t usually comment but I’m glad I stayed on till tip no. 10! I’m commenting because of that! I needed to hear that. Thank you. 🙏🏽💖
Wrote down these tips in my red root chakra weight loss journal to have tips and enjoy and educate myself and others especially my family. ❤❤❤

Starting tomorrow morning!!

Thank you for your awesome ideas, definitely going to give it a go.
One of the best videos !!
This is very helpful thank you for the advice!
Chucking sweet juicy fruit (e.g. sweet orange, mango, etc.) into a salad (along with a little bit of avocado (e.g. 1/4) if you're OK with it) plus fresh herbs can create a sort of dressing just by tossing the salad.
So do you use ANY form of fat in your diet? Cheese? Avocado?
Thank you. 10 reminders, very helpful. A video of 14 veg Mel's would be great
Thanks for this organized and helpful video
when I make crock pot chicken breast with potato and cabbage I always noticed a one or two day weight loss after I eat it I think if I combine this meal with a rolling veggie prep routine I think I’ll might do better
That is the best video ever. really !
I use Needlers grocery (in the states) hot salsa on salads and veggies instead of oil or dressing it's hot salsa so revs metabolism and only 10 calories per tablespoon plus you get loads of flavor and extra veggies
I take notes 📝 That salad dressing is a good point and I will not use it anymore. Also I will use these all tips 🤩
You are spot on with this advice. KISS.. just keep it simple. Thank you!
What’s a good replacement for vegeta in the states?
Also, would love more tips/recipes for prepping veg so they don’t become boring!
What salad dressing do you use if you’re avoiding oil?
Thank you!!
Man I love anything healthy and easy peasy. Thx for that tip
I wanna try all of them just wondering where butter stands instead of oil
I want to see that!!!
Whst was the cabbage dish???? At 4min
I make creamy dressings/mayo with silken tofu as the base, and just add spices/herbs, and lemon juice or vinegar.
How do you cut down on oil? Just a spray or how do you prep your pan?
Thank you ❤
That was very helpful, thank you!
Yes, yes, yes!! Awesome hacks!!
Carleigh Bodrug’s PlantYou cookbook is great with all oil-free recipe ideas. I use her oil free hummus recipe all the time and it’s so good!
I just ordered the things to make overnight oats for breakfast!
Great video!! Thank you!!
Great video. Prep faster and simpler meals!
This made me go to the shops
Salad dressing…
I make my own with FF Greek yogurt and seasoning and vinegars, dill pickles and juice.
You rock! You’ve helped my weight-loss journey so easy. I also make my own seitan - which would you recommend: tofu or seitan? Many many thanks for sharing your knowledge😊
The woollies brand non fat salad dressings, both French and Balsamic, are 13 calories for 20g tablespoon. And delicious.
Thank you for this video. I really want to try it!
I did tried once a salad but without oil it was awful 😖 too crunchy and tasteless. Is there a better option than hummus?
And a soup, without oil? Can you show how you do this?
Thank you so much 💖
Your food looks so delicious 😋
