Very good video. Glad the cop had a sense of humor. I sure don’t miss the mosquitos and the no-see-ums. Hope y’all are having a fun and safe trip.

For sure. My experience with Troopers in AK has been very good over the 25 years I lived there. The no-see-ums and biting flies in the Yukon were awful, but that’s fodder for an upcoming video. 😉

Nice Video! Hopefully your bushings are all replaced before the rest of your journey! Also, look over your body mounts, transmission mounts etc. If anything comes loose it'll be from this journey! Epic Ride! 60 years later and still runs like a top!

Before we left AK we had new bushings and springs installed. (Videos run a couple weeks behind due to editing) Made a huge ride difference. Body mounts still not installed. Ran out of time.

I went with advice from my mom… “Less said the better”. Which keeps me out of trouble more than her other advice….. “ It’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission”. Which, by the way, is advice she never gave to me, but to my children.

    That has the 304?
How does it drive on the road?
    What mpg are you getting?

It's actually the 196 4-cyl. I've got a 4.27 rear end and a 3 speed with the Warn Overdrive. It's drives good. I mean it's 50+ years old so it's a little work but it's not bad. There's lots of shifting with the overdrive. Pulling the teardrop on 29 inch tires I can run comfortably at 60-65... sometimes a little more but I have a long way to go so I'm being extra kind to the motor. I get about 16.2 to 17.8 mph depending on which side of the mountain I'm going up. Mostly it's about 17.3
