I loved Palmer. what a great town in a great state. I lived there for a few years, had to leave but am working on getting back as soon as possible. love it!!
Oregon here. The prices at many of our large grocery stores are not that much higher than the prices shown in the video. Anchorage is not far, I heard you can still get the $4.99 Costco chicken (!:):)
It can be beautiful and peaceful. It can also be miserable and dangerous. Some of the shows may leave that out. Actually the cold is the most dangerous. As long as you are careful not to be caught out unprepared you are usually OK.
I'd love to see Alaska someday. Definitely our most beautiful state. Just once I'd like to sail from Seattle to Anchorage and back, slowly, carefully, with much planning and backups, stopping in sheltered bays when possible. Camping, fishing, exploring ... would be the trip of my life. But living in Alaska? I don't know ... I've heard there are some issues with drugs, crime, etc. Plus, winter.

What is available in the way for groceries for a celiac disease (gluten free) person
Those prices aren't much different than PHXAZ, but Alaska has lower taxes on income.
Would love to see a video on utility cost up there
Coming soon! I have to gather my info
