One thing I wanted to ask that I’m pretty sure I forgot to ask was, how do you know your worth when talking to sponsors? I feel like when talking to sponsors via email I’m too scared to ask for more in sponsorship because I don’t fully know my worth so I was wondering if there is a way you can sort of calculate that in a sense?
Hey Ryan thanks again for sitting down and doing this! You both had so many great questions. I’m still waiting for the Spotify version to process and we will share it on Instagram as soon as that goes live. The question you have is a great one. I think knowing your worth can be very difficult to fully calculate. One of the best ways to go about it is to start small with local sponsors or brands / bike shops you are really close with and ask them to give you an honest idea of how much value they feel you are bringing to the table. How many new customers have you helped or brought in the door and how big of an impact are you making on the brands image or customer base. Also ask them ways you could increase your value. Other things you can is when talking to a brand that you want to work with ask them what you could do to make it worth it for them. For example if you are looking to get a bike from a company ask the marketing manager openly how much content they would want to see in exchange for the value of the bike. Your value can swing drastically between brands but at least by asking up front you will start to get an idea of how much value you are actually bringing to the table in their eyes! Hope that helps man!

We have a question for you about focused content. Our channel highlights several outdoor sports we enjoy while prioritizing wholesome recreational activities. The intent is to encourage kids to get outside and be active. Do you think it would be better for us to hone in on one sport And one audience? Like an Mtb only channel?
