In this episode we chat with Gary Vernon who is the head of outdoor recreation and trail development for the Walton foundation. We discuss the lessons they have learned and the way the town has changed after over 150,000,000 dollars of investments from the Walton Family.

This is so awesome. I wish mayors and leaders of Salt lake, Moab, Park City and St. George, utah would watch this. Allow Class 1 E-bikes, build trails and they will come.

Can’t wait to see the bike park being planned in Mena, AR. After seeing the plans, it will bring a lot of downhill/ park style riders to western Arkansas. It was great to hear a possible completion date

I'm in my 50's and my skills are better now than they have ever been. Bentonville has been the biggest reason for this. Being able to progress on the variety of trails there is amazing. I live in WV and ride at Snowshoe frequently. Before going to Bentonville I was not able to clear the jumps on Skyline. After a week at Bentonville I'm ablet to clear all the jumps! Bentonville Bikefest is such a fun time too! Kyle and April are super kind and always willing to chat (and sign a helmet).

Hi. Hope you're doing well. This is a family sport. If we produce more families (there has been a decline), and costs attainable on the family scale, this sport will be sustainable. So start having kids! Do your part! Lol!

What an excellent conversation on such an important topic as trail and trail economy. There’s something special about Mountain Bike community. Bentonville leading the great experiment with success. It’s all about the wonderful people with great vision, and a sense of ownership, and wanting to give back to the community. Mountain biking is a great way to do it. Thanks Kyle for this very insightful interview. I also appreciate it The discussion and positive view on class 1 ebikes. I hope this is a catalyst for other communities around the country to invest in such a wonderful sport that improves the quality of life so many people while boosting economic growth.

Thank you so much! Yeah the Ebike has been such a great tool for access. I know personally the last few years i have been a bit more reliant on them and its helped me get out to my happy place.
