I learned how to cycle 2 months ago, at the age of 33. I put the bike in my car and drove to a quiet road out of town at night and practised there, because I was too embarrassed to be seen. 2-3 nights later, I finally joined the club and now I cycle daily. To whoever is reading this and wants to learn: I know very well how you feel, and I believe in you! Don't let your hesitation win, you can do it!
I'm 41 and really want to learn riding a bike. I'm trying but I still can't and that place between my legs really hurt I don't know whether it's the seat on the bike or something. I'm not giving up though
Just wanted to share that I'm 29 yrs old and just learnt it by myself after 2 hrs! Good luck to those learning or considering to learn!! You are never too old to learn!
@@abdullahmufti for me just sit normaly put ur right leg to the place and left in ground spin the thing that can move the bike using ur right hardly idk my English bad then. If ur bike goes put up the left too .don't grab hardly the thing ur grab with ur hand when riding or u will fall, don't ride slow or u will fall, don't ride in sand it's hard u will fall, carefully with rock or u will fall, carefully for a car or u will die
i relate w yall😔 i was sad i coudnt do it ant my dad kept yelling at me. i tried to do it again without him and once I got some momentum, I’d get wobbly and tip over but imma try this technique
I love how you are patient and willing to teach your friend how to ride a bike instead of just laughing at him for never having one like my friends did
I grew up with some ignorant friends who were mean like that... but then I found out later as we grew up that they had abusive parents and limited support in their lives. Most of them have really struggled in life, it doesn't make it alright for them to be mean and laugh at you for trying but there might be more to the story that you don't know. I wish you luck and hope this video helps!
Thanks to u because i am 13 and i thought i am too aged for riding a bicycle because children near me r very small and they r perfect in riding bicycle now after reading ur comment i understood tht even 18 years old people r riding bicycles. Thanks!!
That’s nice to know. Because I have also tried a few times and couldn’t do it but one time was on the beach and the other time the bike was too tall. That’s probably why I couldn’t learn but it did discourage me..
My 12 year old daughter had been trying to learn to ride a bike and was getting quite frustrated to the point of crying and saying she had given up. I suggested we search online together for tips to help her learn more easily and we came across your video. That was about 20 minutes ago... she’s outside riding my bike now! :) Thanks for the great instructional video!
For starters learning how to ride a bike, here are some tips for you: 1. Never look down, always look in front of you. Looking down will cause you to lose your balance and fall while looking in front allows you to know your surroundings. 2. Adjust the seat to your favourable position. Too high might cause you to lose grip of the pedal and fall, while too low moght cause you difficulty in turning. 3. Always have your hand/hands on the brakes. You can put your hand on one brake also, it doesn’t matter because I do that all the time. If holding on to both brakes os more comfortable to you, it is nothing different. 4. Always start off with your strong foot on the pedal. Before you start Cycling, you want to make sure you have your dominant foot on the pedal facing upwards so that you cam have a good start.
I learnt to cycle 5 months ago at age 55. Most people thought I was too old to learn and I learnt in two days 90mins sessions. Now just loving the experience.
So glad you are able to learn to ride a bike, that shows as long as anyone is able to still balance themselves can ride stuff at pretty much any age up to 70, possibly.👍
Thanks a lot. I'm 34yrs old, never touched a bike in my life. Got motivated by your video.started practicing at 10pm and believe me , at 10:55 I was riding my bike.once again thanks
1.) Right bike size (you can stand) 2.) Practice with kicking 2 feet 3.) Practice with kicking 1 foot (1 foot on pedal) 4.) Practice using the brakes using your arms ( don't use feet to stop)
SKELETOR my parents taught my two older siblings how to ride a bike but they never bothered with me,,, i just got this weird motivation to finally learn and i guess i’m here now. hopefully all goes well
I did it! I am 18 years old, and I never rode a bike. It was kind of a bad childhood. Two weeks ago, I saw one of my friends in college riding one, and it looked very fun. I was thinking that I don't want to die without giving it a try. So I talked to him and said that I never rode one. He started laughing and thought I was joking. He was in shock when he realized that I wasn't joking. After that, he and some other friends encouraged me to buy one, so I did. The first day of learning how to ride didn't go smoothly. It hurt to sit on the bike, and I couldn't move it. My friends started teaching me for about three hours, and then I started going in a straight line with the bike. It was a huge process for me, and after that, I fell and hurt my hand. It was very painful, and I could barely sleep that night. For a few days, I couldn't ride it because of my hand. Then I kept training with my friends, and I fell and hurt myself many times. It really wasn't easy. Today at 12 am, when I was about to sleep, I looked at the sky from my window, and I felt a weird positive energy. I took my bike and rode it. I was scared, but I did it anyway. I was heading to the beach near my home, and I was riding it well somehow, although I was very scared. After some time, I stopped and called my friends. I told them that I was going to the beach by bike. They thought I was joking since it was the middle of the night. I sent them a picture, and they were in shock. It was hilarious. Then they woke up, took their bikes, and followed me. We rode together, and it was like a dream for me two weeks ago. It was unforgettable memories. I am glad that I didn't give up learning and trying. It was completely worth it! :)
43, never rode a bike. Regardless of why, I felt I’d get through life w/o feeling the need. Now a dad of two little girls - the need is real. This vid is perfect - will report back!
I'm 24 and I learned to ride a bike in 30 mins. At first I was scared because I keep thinking to myself that I'm not able to balance, but when my uncle gave me tips and told me that I should look straight to the direction that I need to go and not down I was shocked that I was already learning how to balance. I realized that I shouldn't lose hope and just believe in yourself.
That's not how. The most important things are, as the clip suggested, find a right size bike, adjust the saddle height so that both feet can touch the ground, and put in easy gear.
I learned how to ride a bike last week. I'm 61 years old. My mum and dad never wanted me to ride a bike for whatever reasons. I grew up and always regretted never learning. You then reach a stage of being embarrassed about trying to learn. I asked my cousin to teach me. I learnt in 15 minutes. He taught me well and simply. It helped learning in a quiet place. The surface wasn't ideal but when I fell ( which you do ) I landed on grass not concrete. After three hours of practicing turns and maintaining balance it was exhilarating. You are never too old to learn. I can now tick that off my bucket list . All I can say is, it's easier than you think. Just a pity I waited so long.
I rode a skateboard before I rode a bike so I already had enough balance to ride the bike but at the begging it was challenging but once I got used to it is simple as pie just don’t give up!
i learned when i was 4 and it only took me 2 weeks so dont use train and no helmets,if you get injured dont bother it since the more bruises the tougher the body
I'm 14 years boy. I can but I'm bad at it. All my friends can ride bike and even some kids near my house younger than me also good at it. I feel sad :(
I seriously love that two full grown men can learn and teach one another without egos getting in the way. This was a great watch! My daughter is eight and is about to start learning, and this has definitely kept a calm sense of confidence in her about balance. Thanks for filming!
I wish my friends would think its “cool” to teach me to ride a bike. Getting berated for not knowing how to ride a bike isn’t exactly doing me any favors
I am 15, which means in my teens... With lot of courage and ignoring what others think about me I went to learn cycling today... I had always been shy about this and used to hide it from my friends but today I finally did it! The feeling is amazing not only because I learnt a new skill of cycling but because I learnt to ignore what others think about me... For all those who want to learn it, I know its not easy but the outcome is wonderful... Just shut your ears and go for it. There's nothing you cannot!
I have never understood why some laugh at people rather than to offer assistance. A brave young kid, managing a bike AND managing stupid people in one blow! Grate, good luck!
I'm 16 and I still can't ride a bike because of fear of falling and I can't even balance myself on it... I feel inferior to all my friends and people my age who can easily go biking I will give it a try this week
I’m 36 years old and was so afraid of learning how to ride a bike because of fear of falling. But three days ago I decided to give a try after watching this video. Day 1 after 2 hours of trying. I was able to ride about 10 metres! Yesterday I was able to ride even longer distance, about 20 meters. And today, I was able to ride probably about 200-300 meters and also able to make big turns. Still working on my turn in a cul-du-sac and uphill. But I’m making good progress every day. All thanks to this video. I followed the exact steps. Now I can enjoy bike ride with my five year old daughter!thank you so much for this video.
Bro im 37 and never ridden a bike xD The longer i put it off the more embarrassing it feels to get out and look like a noob. So i just never bothered. Vicious cycle.
Just an update: I learned to ride a bike last spring with the help of this video and since then have been riding almost daily, averaging about 20km daily. I'm much better now at cycling of course and I use it as my main way of transportation. I want to thank you again for making this video and I also want to encourage anyone who's doubting themselves - just keep trying, keep practicing. Even if you're feeling weird/uncomfortable and even if you fall or hit a traffic sign :D One day you'll get much better at it and your confidence will grow as well! I love cycling now and I can't imagine my life without it!!
I am 33yrs old and tonight i am picking up my first bike. With the help of this video, i hope to teach myself how to ride. I have 2 boys, i need to be able to teach my sons how to ride a bike, an advantage i didn't have (not that i blame my dad) lol.
Update: The first day i jumped on my bike, i was shocked. I rode it all the way to a walmart store 1.3miles away, picked up an item i didn't need..lol..and rode back home (the hills killed my legs though). Not one time did i fall! All i can say is that you can do it if you are determined, easiest thing in the world. Anyway, i have been riding daily ever since. #youcandoit#nofallrecord#
For those who are trying to ride a bicycle - don't give up. This tutorial Is pretty good. It took me like a week to ride the bike. First few days it was terrible - trying to balance/use one leg. Sooner or later you'll learn how to glide. Once you are confident with gliding , you'll use pedal It takes time but don't give up
So growing up, I never learned how to properly ride because my mom and dad couldn't teach me well enough and often would rather make fun of me. I want to learn now because I'm overweight and want to take up bike riding to help me get some exercise in and begin losing weight. I'm ready to take control back of my life
I'm on the same boat as you for the most part. I'm a little overweight and want to ride a bike because it looks so freeing, and good for losing weight. My parents let me have a bike but they never had time to teach me (plus .. they don't even know how to ride one either 😂) I wish you luck on your fitness journey, I just started doing home exercises recently. Good luck with everything 🙏🏼
This video was exactly what I was looking for. I had difficulty learning how to ride bike in the past 5 years and nothing worked. I practice alone and I tried several time to learn but nothing worked. It was about 4 days ago when I saw the video and the next day I rented a bike to practice. It took around 30 minutes of practice to finally ride a bike on my own 😁 The day after that I took the bike and went for a 5 km ride. Talking about accomplishments ☺️ I give you all the credit of me learning how to ride a bike. Thank you 🙏🏻
If u can do it, it may take a lifetime to learn this, but I'll never give up. By the way, I cried a while ago when my face hit a rough tree upon falling. It's quite numb now but I don't care. I will try again. I thought riding a bike is easy. Now I should've known better.
yesterday was the first time i even touched a bike in 6 years, and with bruises like not being able to poop, not walk, and not properly raise my arms i learned how to ride it again in 3 hours sooooo dont give up and you might learn it quick like me
This video is fantastic. So very simple yet very helpful. I am 32 YO and for the very first time I learned to ride a bike. Although it took me 2 days, not 5 minutes
Rather than ridicule someone who doesn’t know how to do something (that everyone presumably should know), it should be treated as a great opportunity to teach something new and awesome to someone.
A neighborhood bully used to do this, steal my bike and ride it away. One day, I got really tired of this and I went berserk, grabbed him and threw him off my bike. He face--planted, skinned elbows, knees, arms. Got up, crying to him Mom. I stood there dumbfounded. Then, I was like Ali. I AM THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!! Nothing like putting a bully in his place.
I’m 31, and I never knew how to ride a bike. I watched this video, grabbed a bike, and I finally learned! I can ride now because I used these principles. Thank you!
I'm a sixteen year old who's never rode a bike before but my twin sister, she loves biking, and our step dad recently aired up the tires. I wanted to go biking with her some day around town to see some places we've never really explored before since we don't get to bond too often, and this helps a lot!
Thank you for transforming my life! I'm 27 years old and never touched a bicycle before, but I just spent my spare time practicing for 3 days and now I can ride a bike! Your video was so helpful and easy to follow.
It literally took my 7 year old daughter 5-10 minutes to learn how to ride without training wheels. Did all these steps on an empty basketball court during quarantine time. This video should be dedicated to parents with no patience. Helped me alot!
I fell very badly off of my bike when I was 8. I was going way to fast. I haven't ridden one in over 10 years, but your video kind of gives me the confidence to give it another shot. Cheers mate
Max Jordan when I was 5 I damaged my skull because I fell of my bicycle and had no helmet, now I am 22 and I started practicing again, serious injuries like these can leave psychological traumas, it takes courage to overcome them, DONT GIVE UP ✊
It wasn't too serious, I didn't break anything, I only dislocated my shoulder and go scraped up. It hurt like hell though, it still cracks when I move it a certain way.
Im 14 and I have been riding since 5 and never worn a helmet. Haven't fell of even once even though I like to ride downhill very fast on car roads. For me its kinda natural like walking i dont underatand how you can crash.
I’m 20, my parents separated when I was 3 and my dad wasn’t really in my life - no fault of his own, it’s just the way things turned out. My mom is not in the physical shape to ride a bike, so I never learned. Today, my friend brought his bike to work and I started learning after work. Will try again tomorrow and I’m gonna continue learning. I learned how to drive and snowboard before I even knew how to ride a bike. Funny how things go
Same here. I’m 15 and my parents separated when I was 4. My dad was off with another woman and my mom was working abroad so no one taught me how to ride a bike at all.
kuebrastic I can. I can just about build a bike from the ground up too. I get the same joy from riding a bike as I do snowboarding. To my friends, it’s just riding a bike, something they’ve been doing for years. But to me, I’m doing something I’ve never done in my 20 years on earth. It’s exhilarating. I feel blessed, honestly. This is a type of fun that I don’t think people typically get to associate with riding a bike because everyone learns when they’re so young. It just becomes something that they DID but for me it’s something that I GET TO DO
@@ChedoTheArtist I didnt really learn it when i was a child. Im 19 years old and i have a bike that my father bought but i never used it. I want to learn it too but i have not a lot of time.now
I’m 20 years old and was born with cerebral palsy. My doctor told me from a young age that I wouldn’t be able to ride a bike. This tutorial has inspired me to give bike riding a proper try anyways. Wish me luck
I'm literally 11 and a half and all my life, I've ridden a bike with two little training wheels in the back, and I finally decided to learn. Quarantine got me doin' things. UPDATE!!!!: I learned using the techniques in this video and I learned in about a week! I forgot to update sorry about that but yeah! This works!
I went out late at night (trying to be discreet...and save embarrassment 😅) to try and ride one of those public 'lime bikes' we have in the UK (not sure if they have those anywhere else also). First thing happens when I unlock it via app, it starts lighting up like a Christmas tree and starts playing a short tune. I'm thinking "quick! Escape!" So tried riding for a few minutes but people heard the noise, saw the lights and came to investigate...so I ditched the bike and ran 😂 Ok I didn't actually run but...walked briskly away from the "crime scene" ...the crime being my failed attempt at ..the whole thing really lol ...try again tomorrow 😅
37 y and 6 months, I was able to ride a bike for the first time 3 weeks ago after watching your video and trained for two hours. Very good explanation and you changed my life. Many thanks!!!!
Abusive father, so never learned how to ride as a kid. Discovered the exciting world of cycling as an adult. Still have some balance issues to sort out. Thanks for the video, I love how your voice is so calm and you have such a laid back attitude.
My dad wasn't abusive, but he left my mom, and at Christmas that year, he came back after being gone a long time. He left a bike for me. But he didn't stick around and help me learn to ride it. That may have been why I had trouble learning. It was the same way with swimming (I was learning but after he left, I couldn't do it) and skating. I always felt alone and didn't know how to do anything.
I'm going to practice these tricks because, I wanna learn how to ride a bike. I'm 13 and it's kinda embarrasing you know, when all your friends get around with their bikes and you have to walk. And it's more embarrasing when you live in germany and like everybody knows how to ride a bike
Same. I'm 18 but I live in kind of a poor town so not many people my age have cars. They use bikes! But I never learned so I can't go anywhere and I'm too embarrassed to learn because I'm afraid people will make fun of me.
I feel you bro all my friends know how to ride a bike except me so i feel left our a bit and nice video. All the time i been using my brother bike which is a bit too big for me.
Lucía Music Station So many great responses here, we were just happy to help! I was made fun of as a younger person for all kinds of stuff... I think people can just be insecure sometimes, even Brian (my friend in the video) was nervous about going on camera for this video but now he is so happy that he did because of your great comments :) Please ride safe out there and take your time! Remember what it feels like to be picked on and be nice to others, maybe they have mean parents or siblings and don't realize that they are just passing on the hurt instead of ending the cycle. Hopefully they will mature over time.
ElectricBikeReview.com Hey! Great news! I finally learned how to ride a bike :D! Thank you so much your tricks helped me a lot :). So I started riding with my little cousins bike, which I can ride perfectly now, but my own bike, I can ride it too, but it is a little difficult for me to get on it, because the seat is too high for me, but I already cleared that with my dad, and he will put the seat down as much as he can tomorrow. Anyway, I finally know how to ride a bike, because of you, so thanks!:)
My friends first laughed at me and then said they'll teach me. But when we were out with the bike, they just started playing around and I didn't even get to touch the bike😑😑😑
Hey guys! it's my 1st week riding a bicycle, I am still a bit shy when people are around but in just 3 days I already learned how to use the pedals also I can balance myself a bit better everyday. I am 28 y/o at the moment and I can say that it's never too late to learn. have a great day
I don’t have enough confidence to get out and do it. I feel like someone will make fun of me for being 12 and not being able to ride a bike. Edit: did it! It’s fun lol Edit 2: Seeing how many replies there are to this, I just want to say, all of you are capable to do it. I haven’t ridden a bike since I was 6 and that was with training wheels. It took me a while to get back on it, but when I did it felt so much more confident. I’m turning 13 soon and I know a TON of people who can’t ride a bike, so if you can, find a spot your comfortable in and just try!
LilyLemon my kids just wont do it either. We had to move from our house into an apartment and there just wasn’t a lot of space to show them. Then, once we tried they both gave up. Now they just are too frightened and I don’t know how to get them back to trying again bc they’re both very avoidant and nervous. My son is now eleven so he’s embarrassed now too. I’m going to keep trying though. Maybe this will be the year!
I’m 21 yrs old and just started learning. I keep on falling to my right side :( I’ll update once i learn lol Update: Day 1 - kept on falling, can only coast Day 2 - made my first ride without falling Day 3 - practiced turning and balance, I’m still horrible at it :( Day 4 - switched the small bike for a mountain bike and my balance improved! I still have a hard time turning and swerving, and I fall out out balance sometimes but I can finally RIDE A BIKE around my village :-) I’m so happy! If I can do it, anyone can do it !!
My story Age 3-7: Have been riding a tricycle Age 8-10: Rode a bike with training Wheels Age 11 Part 1: My friend and brother told me tips and I was so close to mastering it Age 11 Part 2: My dad helped me and I mastered it after he gave me tips and repaired my bike
I'm 28 and I've always been embarrassed for not knowing how to ride a bike. I tried many times before but always failed. Following the method shown in this video I learned in 2 days! I feel more confident about myself and my ability to learn new things, no matter my age. Thank you so much kind strangers!
This video motivated me like anything... I'm 29 and never ride a bicycle in ma lyf... But now I can 30 min 5 days.... N friends finally I achieved that So those who don't know how to ride u guys plz don't give up U can do it... All the best
This happens to be a wealthier neighborhood too, and off the main street... great for learning how to cycle or just going for walks and stuff. Was very thankful we had that peace to learn how to cycle with Brian :)
Im 17, a refugee from ukraine and austria and i need to learn how to bike, since its really important in the town im in right now. you're a big help, thanks man!
You, sir, are a genius. My daughter had been struggling for over a year to learn to ride. After watching this, she was riding her bike in 20 minutes! Oh, and I taught myself to ride a bike, and I'm 39! I never thought I would ever ride a bike. Thank you!!!
+76Fitchick Awesome! I've been riding since I was very young so it comes naturally but seeing my friend try it and thinking through the steps is what created the video. I'm so glad it helped and has made a difference for you both ;)
+ancientloser Probably! Age isn't a huge factor unless you have an age-associated debilitating disease or something. There are lots of ways to learn but hopefully this video gets you off on the right path ;)
Thanks to your video and tips, I, at 34 years old, just learned how to ride a bike this morning. Bought a cruiser bike earlier this week and I struggled yesterday and found your review after searching tutorials. Your tips like balancing without pedaling and using it like a scooter really helped me get my feet off the ground and pedaling straight. Thanks!
Thank you for making this video. I am 45 years old and today I just learned to ride a bike using the same technics. Still need more practice to ride smoothly but I definitely took some weight off my shoulders; the pressure of embarrassment for not knowing to ride a bicycle as an adult. For me the hardest part is not the technics but rather the awareness of being laughed at while trying to ride a bike at my age. It is a hell of a feeling when both feet finally pedal.
I'm 45 and never learned. Taught my son recently to bike (the irony). It's taking me longer to progress to actual pedaling. I am scooting and coasting down the gentle slope of our street. I can go 20 feet without putting a foot down. I just haven't gotten to the point of pedaling. I will have a go at that suggestion of scooting with one foot on the pedal.
Today I learned how to ride a bike for the first time at 29 years old, in 45 minutes! After reading comments of people saying they learned in such short time, I really wanted to be one of them and I did it! It was the most amazing feeling! Thank you so much for the video!!!
I think it can take some time to develop really good balance, sports like gymnastics help young people develop it early and then transfer to bicycles, skiing and other sports. If you do little practice rides frequently (like daily) then with sleep and time your balance will develop :)
+ElectricBikeReview.com I can't because my brother says to be positive but then if I fall he yells at me and says mean things and he's always outside and so if I do he'll watch an then yell when when I fall
I'm 22 now. Still I don't know how to ride a bicycle..This is because of my father's affection on me ...that he don't want me to get hurt while riding a bicycle... Still now I'm ENJOYING the benefit of this.😏😏😏 I too want a friend like this 😔😔😔
for you it's not an issue but being a boy i'm 19 now sister and i don't even know to ride a cycle. my friends make fun of me you know how a boy will treated like in india if he had this problem
I’m a sixteen year old girl who’s had a disabled father and asthmatic mother all her life. I’ve always hid the fact I can’t bike from my friends, but I just saved up and got myself a bike so I can learn. This is the most helpful video I could find so far :))
Thanks for this video! I'm 11 and its honestly really embarrassing to tell your friends that you have no idea how to ride a bike. Literally ALL my friends know how :/ But I think this video's really gonna help me improve. Thanks once again!
Diane Supnet Hey Diane! I'm so happy it helped you, it was scary for Brian to go on camera and do this but he has really enjoyed seeing people learn and that has made it all worth while. Be safe out there and pass on the gift of riding :D
sarah Quinn YOU CAN DO IT!!! I'm rooting for you!!! I'm fourteen and still can't ride! one thing I learned while practicing today: literally just ignore everyone around you (except cars obviously) and you'll to great!!! Tell yourself you can do it! you got this!
im an adult and i recently learnt to ride a bike in a few hours thanks to this and some more. i got hurt a lot, especially my achilles tendons, but it was worth it lol.
That's so cool. I raised 3 kids and I could have used that advise about 20 years ago. I used to chase behind them, holding onto the seat of the bike, half the summer until they got the hang of it. You method makes much more sense because you chunk it down so that they get the hand of it one small bit at a time rather than trying to master all the skills at once.
I am 38 and never learned how to ride a bike! Ugh it hurts me. It makes me cry !!! I will be going to Amsterdam and they get around with bikes I have 5 months to learn! Thanks for this video.
I can hear you. I'm about to finish my application to study in Holland, but then the fact that everyone rides a bike over there came to my mind. It is not a joke, but now I'm more concerned about not knowing how to ride than being actually accepted into the study program :/ . But this vid might help us a lot. Good luck!
It will not take 5 months, if you're practicing very often! I learned how to ride a bike in about a week. The key is, don't try to do the pedalling if you still don't have the right balance, or you'll just fall off. To learn the balancing, just scoot around until you get the hang of it, or have someone pushing you from the back!
Good suggestions from everyone. Just want to add to not make this a mountain to get over, in other words, it’s not even a little bit insurmountable. Little kids do this. But if there’s a block of some kind it can seem like it’s bigger than it needs to be and that in itself is the hurtle to get over. If you need to scoot around for a week, do it. Feeling the balance is core to success. Sometimes we build something up to be more difficult than it actually is, then try to match what we already think to a reality. Just don’t go fast too soon, til feet are coordinated with pedaling and using the brake. Once the brake usage is totally natural for you , the rest flows.
Omg!!! thank you so much for this video. I will admit that I'm fourteen, and I have never successfully ridden my bike. It makes me feel WAY better to find out there are more out there, older than me, that are in the same embarrassed place! I'm not the only one!!! I'm feeling motivated to get out there right now and try it!!! Thanks again!!!
I had a bad experience learning as a child and put off learning to ride forever. I'm 30 years old and watched this video this morning and was riding in 20 minutes. Thank you so much for posting it. You're never too old to learn something new.
Oh my god, thanks to this video I learned how to ride a bike! But I changed some stuff up.. first off,I bought a used bike that was very short so there was no possibility of me falling.. then I followed step 1 and 2 where I was pushing with one foot and then balancing. I did this within my house for a long time and then tried to put my feet on the pedal. After practising this I took my bike to the park and I was shocked the first time I tried to pedal coz I kept going.. so the main thing after step 2 is to push one pedal so the bike is in motion and then immediately get the other foot off the ground and on the other pedal and then you balance and pedal. Hey sorry I missed your comment.. I actually learnt within a week but I'll recommend buying or renting a smaller bike, one that you can't fall off of.. rest this tutorial is bang on.
The most practical tips to learn ride the bicycle. It took just 3 hrs split amongst 2 days and now I can ride the bike for more than 150m with out falling off or loosing balance. Thank you for such valuable and practical tips.
Thank you so much for this video. I'm 17 years old, on my way to college soon, but I still can't ride a bike to this day. I feel embarrassed (which is obvious), specially because my younger siblings can ride a bike. I have some time off before the college orientation begins, so I'll try following the steps in this video and fingers crossed, I'll be able to ride a bike as soon as possible. Thanks again!
Wow, I used this and it took me 2 days to finally ride. The 2nd day I realized that my garage is not wide enough, so I went outside and I succeeded. Thanks!! 😂😂 I've had my driver's license before learning to ride a bike

I never thought I could do it but this video gave me the confidence and instructions I needed to do it! I’m so grateful ❤️ I’m now on my way to learn how to ride a motorcycle. Wish me luck!
When the guy said "20 minutes" I was literally like "WHAT?! That is so not possible!". But I feel way more confident now to start learning myself, so thank you for the video :D

i learned how to ride a bike about 3 weeks ago and it was actually fulfilling. I'm near 20 y/o so it's pretty nice to say that it's never too late to do the things you really wanna learn.
Congrats to Brian, he's well on his way! I'd like to add a tip about the "rear brake only concept. . . I teach my Learn to Ride students to always use both hands, both brakes. Now is the time to establish good biking habits, and braking with only the rear brake will be insufficient in an urgent braking situation. Suggesting that a new rider remember which is the good brake and which is the "wrong" brake leads to hesitation, and guessing wrong can indeed cause problems. That's why the best answer to "Which brake do I use?" is always - "Both hands, both brakes."
I'm 16 and learning how to ride a bike. When I was younger I never had the patience to and I always lived by a major highway so my parents werent too concerned with teaching me. Now I feel really bad about not being able to bike, but this video is very helpful! Thank you!

For starters learning how to ride a bike, here are some tips for you:
Good advice!
thank u for the advice !!!
Jessica, try to lower the seat.

As sad as it is yeh
good job
what a story.
I have this big smile on face right now

Just a pity I waited so long.

i learned when i was 4 and it only took me 2 weeks so dont use train and no helmets,if you get injured dont bother it since the more bruises the tougher the body

This works!

I tried the techniques. Took me longer than five minutes but I got it!
Escape!" So tried riding for a few minutes but people heard the noise, saw the lights and came to investigate...so I ditched the bike and ran 😂
Ok I didn't actually run but...walked briskly away from the "crime scene" ...the crime being my failed attempt at ..the whole thing really lol
...try again tomorrow 😅

Wow.. are u a male?
Dizzy Virgo same here all neighbors might make fun of so i don't try. But brother doesnt care he all was helps me.

It’s fun lol
Edit 2: Seeing how many replies there are to this, I just want to say, all of you are capable to do it.
Me too same age
Welp...I'm 14 and can't even ride a bike ~(TwT)~
im freaking 25 and I just this video to learn.
IM 12 AND I FALL OFF MY BIKE ALL THE DAMN TIME
I’m 21 yrs old and just started learning. I keep on falling to my right side :( I’ll update once i learn lol
Update:
Day 1 - kept on falling, can only coast
Day 2 - made my first ride without falling
Day 3 - practiced turning and balance, I’m still horrible at it :(
Day 4 - switched the small bike for a mountain bike and my balance improved! I still have a hard time turning and swerving, and I fall out out balance sometimes but I can finally RIDE A BIKE around my village :-) I’m so happy!
If I can do it, anyone can do it !!
Thats just awesome 😎 I hope I can do that too! I am 14 and imma try that

I am 35 - will get a bike, learn and Ride --- Thank you so much for these easy ideas.
Can't wait to ride bicycles with my kiddos
the only thing I have trouble with is keeping my balance
I think it can take some time to develop really good balance, sports like gymnastics help young people develop it early and then transfer to bicycles, skiing and other sports. If you do little practice rides frequently (like daily) then with sleep and time your balance will develop :)
+ElectricBikeReview.com thanks

That's so cool. I raised 3 kids and I could have used that advise about 20 years ago. I used to chase behind them, holding onto the seat of the bike, half the summer until they got the hang of it. You method makes much more sense because you chunk it down so that they get the hand of it one small bit at a time rather than trying to master all the skills at once.
I am 38 and never learned how to ride a bike! Ugh it hurts me. It makes me cry !!! I will be going to Amsterdam and they get around with bikes I have 5 months to learn! Thanks for this video.
5 months?!!
that is more than enough time to learn :-)
I can hear you. I'm about to finish my application to study in Holland, but then the fact that everyone rides a bike over there came to my mind. It is not a joke, but now I'm more concerned about not knowing how to ride than being actually accepted into the study program :/ . But this vid might help us a lot. Good luck!
I'm 30 hahaha..this video helps so much
. just pick right size Bike..find place like this ..and practice

Samantha White Good luck Samantha! They say once you learn it's easy to pick back up :D
I learned very fast! It took me less than a week!
I give all the credit of me learning to cycle to this video, I single handedly learned just by following his techniques! Thank you so much!!!
How long did you finally started cycling well? Im 21 and im trying so hard but its so frustrating 😭
Hey sorry I missed your comment.. I actually learnt within a week but I'll recommend buying or renting a smaller bike, one that you can't fall off of.. rest this tutorial is bang on.
