  • In this episode i was fortunate enough to connect with Dr Jason Sonners from HBOT USA about Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy and how it can be used in helping people with post concussive syndrome as well as various auto immune issues. Dr Sonners is currently completing a PHD program on Hyperbaric's and was kind enough to share the mechanisms of action as well as some backstory into the treatment.

Kyle, this was fascinating! Thank you for this. I suffered a MTBI 10yrs ago and wish I had this info then.

I watched this in the HBOT!! I loved it and seeing Kyle was great. I'm so happy with my Hbot and my mind is so much better. I had no idea the body was so complex until the wrong "chemical" entered my system.

This is super super interesting... A bit of an eye opener for me....
I have a few questions though:
    1) Does deep diving have a similar effect??? The Oxygen does not go through the skin, does it?? So diving to 20 meter, you should see a 2.0 pressure. Wonder if there are any studies on people who dive frequently. They should have better health I'd think.
    2) If you do overpressure with just air (70% Nitrogen), don't you get the same problems as divers going up too fast??? Or do you get around that by releasing the pressure very slowly and only being under pressure for short periods??
    3) As Jason explained, the body is lazy and adjust to the lowest needed requirement. Eg. sit on the couch all day and you loose muscle and cardio. Don't the same happen if you do HBOT on a regular basis? Think of the rich folks as Musk et all. The body get used to the boost, so the immune and other systems get lazy ad less efficient. And in the long run, can't cope without the HBOT??
Also, my logic would say that if would do the inverse of altitude training.... Lowering the HG value.
    4) Is HBOT also used to treat longterm effect from prolonged stress?
