the frost honestly wouldn't make that much a difference, Dark Souls enemies in general were wayyyy more tankier to status effects. Bleed in ds1 and ds2 were practically useless unless you base your entire build around it and even then there were better options

And seeing that he doesn't even poise break, despite how many times that Banished Knight hits him, none of his wind ups will be interrupted either. The problem here all these other commenters seem to missing is the stance breaking mechanic that only ER knights are vulnerable to. Make DS susceptible to it too or remove it all together and you won't even need the ghostly teleporting Castle Sol variants. The Banished Knights would win 9/1.

I think these characters were the wrong choice... The Elden Ring faction should have chosen the Castle Sol Magic and Acrobatic Troupe. They are the first, second, and third masters of Sol Castle, respectively. Their weapons and abilities include red-eye teleportation dual swords, red-eye teleportation long spear, and red-eye teleportation sword shield. They have the strongest stats.

Enemies in ds3 don’t have a stance break state. It only applies to certain bosses like Demon Prince or Nameless King. Certain bosses can be opened up for a riposte if you hit them on the head enough times, though, like Dancer, Yhorm, or Oceiros.
I wouldn't say that. According to my observations, the average resistance of elite enemies in the Elden Ring is higher than that of elite enemies from Dark Souls 3.

The shield banished knight seems to be having an issue when using the shield to cover himself, they still hit him regardless, I think using the teleporting red eyes banished knight would be a better fit since they are the strongest and more skilled banished knights tho

Amongst its myriad motions to nostalgia I really appreciate FromSoft’s obvious desire to play around with its generic knight. Both the Ring and Banished Knights are obviously especially dear successors to Gwyn’s Black Knights. They’re both dynamic, hard hitting, and not waiting around for the player to figure out their moveset. Love when something that could be lazily done is done with some intent.
We need to see Iudux/Champion Gundyr Vs the Asylum Demon(s) (Ds3 Vs Ds1) Both need to be defeated before you can level up, both hate Black Firebombs, and both guard similarly sized doors.

The unforunate thing about matching up DS3 and Elden Ring enemies is just that usually DS3 just has the advantage because of how poise works deferently between the games
The way I see it, they are a fairly good match for eachother. Ringed knights have the clear weapons advantage with two of the knights wielding a shield and the other with dual colossal swords, whereas the banished knights have the skill advantage showed by the way they use their powers and skills together. The dual greatsword variant with those wacky spinning moves along with the use of fire on top of wind moves for the halberd variant.
That's like not even close. I don't need to see the video, because I have a Banished Knight's longsword and I passed the entirety of DSIII. A late DLC, basically, mini-boss will utterly mop the floor with the Lothric Knight's knock-off.

That powerstancing colossal sword Ringed City Knight fight was just silly, even when you look past its unbreakable poise. It was the same problem with the Crucible Knight vs Black Knight fight, stance breaking turned that one into a no contest as well.
The results of the 1 v 1 fight says otherwise. because of the ai it would be way more unbalanced in favor of banished if posture was either added or gone. It was the staggering that made it even possible for ringed knight to even have a fighting chance in most of the 1 v 1s

I love Radahn's swords but they're just not the same as RINGED KNIGHT DUAL GREATSWORDS. I miss feeling like an actual freight train barreling towards, and then through, some unprepared host and his friends.
The knights in the first legacy dungeon of Elden Ring are on par with the knights at the end of the last DLC of Dark Souls III. Just imagine the knights in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

It was very good, I hope you can see more fights of this type, you could bring the knights of lothric vs halltree knights or, the pontiff knights vs ancient hero of zamor, the knights of the cathedral vs crucible knights. (Note: For some reason the Knights of Lothric and the Cathedral's who use Greatsword hate you and will want to follow you to the end of the world, but their weapon is very good)

The results of the 1 v 1 fight says otherwise. because of the ai it would be way more unbalanced in favor of banished if posture was either added or gone. It was the staggering that made it even possible for ringed knight to even have a fighting chance in most of the 1 v 1s

The knights in the first legacy dungeon of Elden Ring are on par with the knights at the end of the last DLC of Dark Souls III. Just imagine the knights in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC
Banished Knights are pretty good enemies, I'll give them that, but...there really is no beating the originals. The Ringed Knights are probably my favourite enemies in all of Soulsborne.
Bro Ringed Knights are DLC enemies. The real counterpart to banished knights should be Lothric/cathedral knights or something.

It was very good, I hope you can see more fights of this type, you could bring the knights of lothric vs halltree knights or, the pontiff knights vs ancient hero of zamor, the knights of the cathedral vs crucible knights. (Note: For some reason the Knights of Lothric and the Cathedral's who use Greatsword hate you and will want to follow you to the end of the world, but their weapon is very good)

Seems like you should probably give both sides the stagger mechanic if you’re gonna make it a vs. It’s not fair otherwise.
More accurately remove the stagger mechanic as Dark Souls 3 enimies/bosses have infinite poise
