The Rongpeng website has the air consumption at 4.1 to 4.5, the box has the part number on it as the r802. It is definitely the R802. The box leaflet has the air consumption at 3.5 to 3.9 so there is a little discrepancy which is not unheard of whith these inexpensive guns. The air consumption is very low. You just have to judge for yourself I do alot of research in regards to the specs I would say the Rongpeng website would be the most accurate at around a 4 cfm air consumption. That Gun is a Sata 3000 copy, at least the body and threads look like a 3000, if I coulsee the air cap I could tell if its an RP or HVLP style tip. The Chinese are great at copying the design, but in my experience the needle will rust and the internal seals will not live long term. Great for doing at home type of painting but not a professional production tool. Which you are not misrepresenting at I read the title to the video. Looks awfully similar to the Black Widow except for a few small details and wouldn't be surprised if the Black Widow is a Rongpeng built gun. I believe Rongoeng will design/upgrade a gun with your logo as they have in the past.
Either way, another great review. The gun sprays well, of course, with your expertise. It appears to have enough speed to do an overall if worked methodically. The locking collar is probably safer for beginners who are a bit clumsy in adjustments, though I prefer without as well. They definitely could do without the crappy cheater valve being included and might even cut the cost a tad.

All of these guns are copies of the Nr92 SATA which, as the name suggests, was introduced to the market in 1992 and the adjustments are about the same. 2 1/2 turns is about right. The link you provided is for a 1.4 and 1.8 nozzle set. Not the 1.3 and 1.6 as you stated. SATA part numbers up until the model 3000, used the German designation of Nr (which in German means the Julian calendar year just like a $ sign means dollar in English). So the first HVLP gun was the Nr92 followed by the Nr95 and then the Nr2000. The Nr2000 is when SATA introduced the first RP version of their spray guns.

@@67polara Pros that do complete repaints love SATA because they're hoses. Speed matters a lot when you're trying to get around an entire car and still have the clearcoat open so that overspray doesn't ruin the finish. @jeremiah tinsley one of the biggest blunders is following the usual wide open everything that other channels suggest. Gotta take into account that they're real shops using big air supplies and pro booths. Not that you're trying to emulate, but as Garage Noise points out, just about any gun can be tuned to spray how you need and most of the time a DIY in a garage is going to need to detune the gun for his situation. You can minimize overspray and maximize your technique at the cost of fan width, which is fine. I have several popular guns that can not be ran as reviewed, or else I'll be in a cloud of overspray. Get a spare panel then play with the pressure, fluid, and fan to achieve the result you need.
