      Ofcourse it can, obv the a7iv is a much better camera, but he good old a6400 is also a good camera, and if used correctly it's sick!

      Don't forget the lenses! Most beginner cameras come with slow (high f number) kit zooms. On a wedding last year the father of the bride had some older Sony Nex5000 or so with him, as it was E-Mount I quickly slapped my Sigma 85mm 1.4 Art lens on it and took a few pictures of his daughter for him. His jaw dropped when he saw them 😁

    Now my question to you is, do you regret your upgrade to full frame? :) Which advantages (despite better low light because bigger sensor) do you personal use to get the job better done compared to APSc?

    Great video and important message to all beginners! 👍 exactly this realization made me consider to switch from my Sony a7IV to Fujifilm APSC. The 7IV only being able to shoot cropped 4k60 also made me realize that a cropped sensor gives me exactly the amount of detail I personally need.

      which fuji did you go for? I've been using the a6400 since it was released and recently considered getting an A7IV, but the more I look at the xt-5 and similar fuji cameras I think they could be more suited for me

    the sensor matters but good glass make the sense. My thoughts are if u are not shooting in controlled light (environment) go with lower f values and consider wide angle lens because crop factor sometimes can suck, overall is this. I consider both of them and APSC can create beautiful images with good glass, it stands on practicing

    In some of the pictures the Bokeh seemed more noticeable in the full frame but I believe it's because the subject was also closer to the camera. Also if the cropped sensor was kept at 1.4 and the full frame was kept at 2.0 there would have not been much of a difference in the pictures. I still failed on half of the pictures 😂

    First off guys, you're not going to see any difference by looking on an iPhone screen. You just don't have the resolution to see the difference or if you're not going to see it in the file. So this proves my point of why even my prefer thirds is a better option for today because we're all looking at things on our phone which you can't tell the difference anyway, so you don't need a high resolution camera to view photos on your phone

      the crop factor will make it like a 50mm on a full-frame and also the price is huge, i’d recommend the Sigma 30mm 1.4 just because it’s an APSC and for its price it’s amazing, also you can save so much money for another lens to buy, cheers!

    I'm surprised that your using a phone for this example. It might be helpful to review these on a monitor. I agree that most people are using phones and posting to Instagram. Another interesting one would be to have some nice prints made.

      @@thaticelandicguy I think that would still be an interesting test. While again I agree that most people look at phones, it is still misrepresenting that you can't tell a difference. Essentially, what I'm saying is that based solely off a phone it could be a bit misleading.

  • @dogasecco
    @dogasecco ปีที่แล้ว

    you got it wrong. If you really want a challange, you should apply the crop factor to the apperture and ISO (squared) as well. Then you'll have the same background blur, same exposure. The apperture is a math formula that is applied N = F /D. You can't change one value without change the other. The iso should be squared because we're talking about the area of a square (sensor). There are plenty videos on the internet about it. IQ Filmmaker channel, even tony northrup.

    I kinda don't get why you do a comparison and set it up in such away where you can't see the difference? Of course people gonna have a hard time spotting what's different?
    Would be a more fair comparison to lift shadows heavily, pull highlights, shoot them wide open from the same distance etc.
    Otherwise it's like comparing a Ferrari with a Volvo locked on going down the track at the same speed. Gonna be quite difficult to spot who crosses the line first 😂

    Apsc had noticeably smeary bokeh/less bokeh balls. Something I can spot really quick after going from my A6600 to my A7iv last year. The reality is Sony isn't updating APSC so the A7iv just has so many quality of life changes in comparison. Even an APSC shooter would benefit from just buying the A74 at this point lol.
