- About a month ago I made a hypothetical roster for a nickelodeon all star brawl inspired Dreamworks platform fighter, and you guys voted that you wanted to see a Disney platform fighter next. In this video I will be building a roster with iconic characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars for a Smash Bros style crossover.

Problem is, I’m pretty sure Disney doesn’t have the rights to use the Genie, because of something the actor whose name is failing me right now put in his will. I think Jiminy Cricket would be a great announcer though.

@@funnynamedottxtrobin williams agreed to play genie as long as the fact he was in it was not a big part of the marketing. disney didn't go by his wishes which led to them falling out, but eventually he returned for aladdin 3.

For this Disney Smash Bros game, I know exactly who would make the perfect Piranha Plant. That Pixar lamp. I know it's nothing but a lamp but I like to imagine it using attacks from those OLD Pixar Shorts. Especially that blue and yellow ball with the red star being a ranged attack.

I feel like Sora would be a given, maybe not as a base fighter, but as dlc. He may not be a character Disney likes to push that much like their other ip's, but even they can't ignore just how popular and loved he is.
He’s also already got move-set because of smash ultimate.
The thing Is Smash already has him, wouldn’t It be kinda weird to have him as ALSO a DLC on a Disney smash game?
@rigboy1234 Well, they could always update his moveset, maybe model it after KH4 or something. Plus, since they own him, Disney will be able to have much more liberty with how they use Sora, unlike Nintendo, where you can tell they were more restricted with what they could do.
As a Sora main I'd absolutely adore that but... That just feels so weird. Why would Disney add their character who's already Smash as a DLC fighter to their Smash clone as a DLC fighter? It's like Nintendo making a new Pokémon gen but instead of adding new and unique Pokémon it just recycles Pikachu's designs and abilities with little to no changes
Besides what would his moveset in even look like? I highly doubt Disney would just copy paste his already existing Smash moveset because that would be incredibly pointless. And even if they did just steal his Smash moveset, I don't think that'd be a good idea since a lot of people aren't really fond of his moveset... It's not as hated as Banjo-Kazooie's but it's definitely not a favorite in the Smash community
They could use Riku or dual wielding Roxas instead

SquareEnix DID try to make a fighting game featuring Disney and Square characters but Disney refused.
So, they made Dissidia Final Fantasy games for the PSP.
I think this falls apart from the moment you applied the “One Character Per Franchise” rule.
You’ve still got a lot of great choices, and Stitch and Jack Skellington and the Beast are absolute essentials.
But there’d be no way that Disney makes a roster like this and doesn’t include Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and probably Daisy, as well as Scrooge, and maybe a trio fighter for the nephews. (And I wouldn’t rule out Launchpad as DLC.)
And I think you’d wind up with similar clusters around Marvel and Star Wars, though maybe three for each, and none of them Spider-Man because of the legal rights.
You’d probably get three to five Princesses too, and then fill the remaining 12 to 14 slots with one-offs.
i definitely agree realistically, but i guess it makes sense for the video to have variety of franchises to make the video more interesting. would've been nice for them to at least get honorable mentions though
I doubt all of fab 5 would get into a fighting game roster actually and also Sony only owns the rights for Spider-Man films, they can still use him in anything
I think if it’s just classic Mickey Mouse we’re talking about, then the feminist in me says they’d have to include Minnie. However, if we’re specifically talking about Sorcerer Mickey, then not having Minnie and friends is completely understandable. Because it’s no longer Mickey from the cartoon shorts, but Mickey with superpowers from the MOVIE Fantasia.
Ya the main 4 would defiantly be there. Daisy can be left out like she was in the new platformer. Also yes Launchpad can be ruled out.
As a first game of its kind for them I think it'll be fine as a standout. Disney has a plethora of IPs to pull from. On the other hand they can minimize to only 15 characters spanning 4/5 classic films and opening the floodgates to DLC character packs. They for sure will capitalize on that as Smash bros and other fighting games have.
For DLC I would add
Pooh Bear
Darkwing Duck
Cinderella
Ursula
And Sora from Kingdom Hearts, Mostly cause he'd be funny to have in both Smash and this game, Funnier still if they just copy his moveset. It wouldn't happen but it would be funny

i don't think Pooh would be a likely pick, Pooh wouldn't harm a fly. I could mayyybe see Tigger but even that's a big stretch.
I believe Winnie the Pooh isn't actually a Disney character any more! The original A A Milne books are now old enough that he's in the public domain.
@@alexpotts6520 Yes, As is Cinderella, Snow White, Pinocchio, The little Mermaid among many others they could use. They still own their depiction of Pooh, even if others are free to make their own depictions too
So something that not a ton of people know about, Nightmare Before Christmas had an AMAZING PS2 action game - And if you draw from that, Jack would have an AMAZING moveset honestly with his slime whip.
Tron would be cool for DLC, and Oswald the Rabbit as a super retro pick

To me, I want Gargoyles for DLC characters.
Idea for Hiro as a playable character, since it does feel difficult to not include Baymax. Have Baymax appear occasionally for things like a vertical recovery where Baymax boosts them into the air, or appearing for a deflect attack. Things like that where he wouldn't necessarily he fighting, but assisting. Kinda like how Isabelle's attacks are meant to he unintentional / accidental

Could also take a page out of Disney Infinity and have Hiro use his microbots in his moveset.
I would hope they'd use some of his abilities from the TV series, like his magnetic discs and his soundwave/invisibility suit.

@@tandnmom100 I enjoyed it, although it seems to have a mixed reputation. It seems to me that most people have a casually positive opinion of it - it's no masterpiece, but it's still entertaining. If you watch the first episode or two, you could get a pretty good feel for the series.

On one hand, he's not my favourite in the show so I'd kind of rather see another GF character, on the other hand, he would be so much fun and unique to play as!
You already mentioned a lot of counterpart characters that would work well as DLC (Ralph, Phineas and Ferb, Woody, etc.), but I'd also like to think of some assist trophy characters. Mike immediately comes to mind, as does Baymax. I also think a Fairy Godmother assist trophy that makes your projectiles stronger and those that are about to hit you useless would be hilarious. However, I think a unique playable fighter would be Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather, Pokemon Trainer style. I can easily see Merriweather being the strongest with her weather-based attacks and her strong temper, while Fauna could be a great ranged fighter by calling on animals. Flora would then lie in the middle of the two extremes.

To save my keyboard, I'll just list 10 characters I'd want to see added.
1: Donald and Goofy. Yes, it's a tie between two characters. But why wouldn't you have these guys in the game? Heck, why isn't Donald your second Mickey and Friends character?
2: Tigger. Childhood bias aside, I do think Winnie the Pooh is as Disney-coded as Mickey and the gang are. It helps that Tigger himself shares an anniversary year with the Mouse.
3: Tinker Bell. I'm gonna be real with you. When you said it was a tough choice between Pan and Hook, my mind was screaming "You have one of Disney's MASCOTS on the table, and you go for the hero or villain?" Tink should have been the Peter Pan rep.
4: Jiminy Cricket/Baloo/Cruella De Vil. Speaking of Disney mascots, I would have liked to see more Walt-era characters. Picking one of these three could have helped with that.
5: Merida. The Disney Princess who came from a Pixar movie. Furthermore, she'd be more recent than Robin Hood, which gives her an edge.
6: Goliath/Kim Possible/Bill Cipher/Anne Boonchuy. My last tie for the list, solely because I would have liked a third DTVA rep in the game.
7: Miss Piggy. If Kermit wasn't eligible, I'm sure his love interest would be next in line as our Muppets slot.
8: Captain America. Ol' Steve Rogers is just as responsible for the MCU's foundation as Iron Man is, so why not add him?
9: Grogu. Luke Skywalker was very close, but Vader represents the classic era of Star Wars, while Grogu is from the modern era. Plus, he's from Yoda's species, so that's a plus.
10: Sid the Sloth. Scrat might be Blue Sky's mascot, but Sid is their heart and soul. Plus, he can talk and hold things, which are bare essentials for a fighting game.

For 9, I think The Mandalorian himself would be a better fit. Since his moveset would be like BoTW's link with a jetpack instead. The darksaber for a melee, with whistling birds, grapple line for a grab, blaster shots, and for the final smash, he can use his evaporation rifle. Gorgu can be in a taunt tho like in Fortnite

i think grogu is hard to add. i say add Ahsoka Tano to be able to have a different star wars rep. anakins apprentice, a much faster and nimble fighting style compared to vaders more slow style. disney is currently airing Ahsoka which is the best thing they’ve made in star wars so i think it makes more sense from a gameplay perspective to have ahsoka over grogu
I know they have no chance of getting in over any of the movie characters, but I'd love to see more representation from Disney's animated shows. Anne and Luz are easy choices, of course, but I'd *love* to see Bill Cipher adapted into a fighting game. He has a ton of potential, almost too much to actually work into a fighting game... though limiting most of the Weirdmageddon stuff to a super move or final smash would help reign him in just enough.
Also, I'd love Tron representation, but... the thought is almost *laughable* at this point. Man...
A lot Nintendo used to hold was laughable until it wasn't. Sonic was laughable. Snake was laughable. Mega Man would get you laughed out of most forums. Ridley was too big, Sora was too complicated, King of Fighters was too dead and niche, Joker was too new and niche, Banjo Kazooie hasn't been home in years, Waluigi has been a Smash Trophy since Smash Trophies were a thing, and more I could list. So, you know, you might never know what Disney could do, especially with a third party studio could do.
Honestly, I would personally love something from Abandoned By Disney or Oblitus Casa but that's a long shot and I know it.
I’d love to see a move on Bill where he snaps his fingers and casts a random effect/transformation on anyone directly in front of him.

I know the show's (deservedly) become a total joke at this point, but as long as we're talking about animated tv show characters, I feel like a lot of characters from Star vs. were almost made to be fighting game characters. Star, Marco, and Tom all come to mind immediately as characters who could easily be given a proper fighting game move-set (most likely Star out of the three).
@@hyrulehero2773 I mean, the Disney fighting game could turn it from garbage to gold if they try to reinvent the characters. In my opinion, there are three things someone should state that they are doing with someone else's property before doing it, and they need to ask permission to do it.
1. Adaptation: When you take another property and do something new with it.
2. Translation: When you directly redo the entire thing from scratch in a new medium.
3. Reinvention: When you completely change the source material into something else.
All of these things can be equally viable, you just need to let people know which ones you're doing and why. Heck, you can even say you're doing one of these for fun and that's viable, just as long as people understand what you intend to do with a property they can then decide whether they're interested in viewing it or not (*cough cough* people like Zack Snyder and the execs over his head should take notes from this philosophy *cough cough*)
Dlc fighters I would love to see are the mandalorian (grogu could be a part of the moveset) kuzco, Spiderman, elstagirl, and Aladar from dinosaur (like likely but would be so fun! Plus I think Encanto would 1000% have a fighter in this game based on how popular it was
We don't talk about Bruno. Maybe Bruno could throw salt or have rats attack the ground. And he could have the longest dodge as he can "see the future"
Just have their whole house be a playable character. Would be hilarious.
I feel like Isabella would have the most room for a unique character with plants forming whatever archetype you want to add

I think there could be an easy basis for either Gonzo from The Muppets or Roger Rabbit. Lightweight, fast heavy hitters who run on a bizarre amount of cartoon logic that could be used kinda like Bugs Bunny in Multiversus.

I actually fucking screamed in joy when Timon and Pumbaa showed up, HELL YEAH! They’re absolutely the perfect blend of wacky and wild for a Disney Fighter…
But as for some fun DLC ideas for two series that haven’t even repped? Baloo as a wacky grappler and Tigger as a bouncy Rushdown who jumps all over the stage. Then of course you could have Scar as an odd set up based villain, Pete to be some cheating type big boy, maybe even Kronk… The sky is limitless when it comes to a roster like this!
also for DLC, imagine Luz from the owl house, with some way to make glyph combos for powerful attacks
I had forgotten Emperor's New Groove was a Disney Property. Imagine Kronk's ult being him talking to the squirrel and the squirrel just ravaging an enemy.
This move set reminds me a lot of Disney Mirrorverse and their roster. If you have the chance look at the character outfits from that game, they’re amazing!
Sucky game though
I hope that there can be a neat balance among the amount of characters across the years. There's a lot of characters I would love to see from Disney celebrating their history, all the way from Steamboat Willy all the way up to Modern day animations. I would especially love for the Pokemon relationship type characters like Marvel and Pixar and Lucasfilm (They made other movies aside from Star Wars, let them be used more Disney!)
Overall, I just want stuff around the later half of the 2D and 3D animation Renaissance era, especially their own Atlantis animated film and Hercules and Treasure Planet and more from around that time because they're just so good.
Gravity Falls and all of the adjacent shows, especially Pheonis and Ferb.
Heck, they could even give some of their misses another chance to hit. Stuff like Turning Red (Not a total miss but GamingMagic13 sure doesn't like it), and Elemental and The Good Dinosaur and Strange World and just so much more could be given new life in a crossover.
Wow, just discovered your channel and I love this video! My only comment is on Mr. Incredible: we have a LOT of heavy brusers, and I genuinely think Violet would fit in so much better as a realitively lightweight fighter, using her psychic abilities amd even a temporary Invisibility feature to mix the roster up.

If I could include any Disney character, I’d personally go with Tron, using his design from the original film, but would also have Rinzler as an alt, as to give representation to both the OG, and Legacy
A Narnia rep should be added right along side it.

King Andrias (Amphibia) - I would say Anne, but Andrias does make more sense if you think about it.

Ladybug (Miraculous Ladybug) - Okay maybe not the best option given its rep but still.
Spider-Man (Same Name) - Either Peter or Miles would work for me.

I think the roster you made is basically perfect, though I would make some changes:
Snow white seems like the last person that would fight, so maybe the warfs could represent the movie instead? They could either be a mass of fighters (like ice climbers), or they could be like bowser junior's alternate skins.
Also, I think that Peter Pan could be a better choice than Captain Hook, he could be a light and swift character, and maybe include tinkerbell in some attacks?
As for DLC, we HAVE to get the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella, as well as Cruella DeVil from 101 dalmatians.
Snow white fighting really wouldn't be a problem. Also ya it definitely should of been Peter pan, Jack Sparrow already kinda has the pirate moveset. Cinderella should definitely be playable before the fairy godmother.
I’ve always been excited to think about the possibility of this game. Realistically though they’d probably bring in at least 6 or 7 character each from the Mickey Mouse, Marvel, and Star Wars franchises, which is fine. Not like Nintendo hasn’t done the same thing.
As for DLC, most of the other comments here have pretty much covered the majority of viable characters, but the one I would really want to see is Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet. A little bit more obscure, but a sure shot S tier character with the ability to bowl over enemies with his solar surfer and the ability to use his sidekick Morph to shapeshif into different weapons. Like a cross between SSBU Wario and Bugs Bunny from Multiversus.
If the Genie were to be a fighter, I think it'd be great to have him as the resident Faust character. Someone who's very hard to play with and against due to their long range and large array of wacky stuff to throw at enemies, while also representing his "careful what you wish for" side by making his attacks have some degree of RNG that can actually benefit the opponent.
Just a fun idea.
And for his final smash well Never be a friend like me
Instead of RNG, I would make it so that some hitboxes would be bad for you, and others are amazing.
Relying on sheer stage control, and also using the bad for you hitboxes as bait for the REAL attack, Mixups.
And also being the most flexible member of the cast, good at zoning, rushdown, being a grappler archetype, but he’s the advantage pusher archetype, very weak on disadvantage, but INSANE on advantage.
They may not be big franchises anymore but outside of Kingdom Hearts when you think Disney (technically) unique IP video games, Toontown and Club Penguin come to mind, which could work as just "Toons" or "Penguins" or specific characters like Flippy or Sensei, or if villain picks a cog (Smokin Foreman's spoofy video with a Flunky joining smash comes to mind) or Herbert could work, any of these work IMO.

I think for DLC you would need to hit some different bases. A Dinsney Princess, classic Disney film character, a villain, and a promo character for a newer film, and a random character no one is expecting. Because of this my picks would be Merida from Brave as the princess who uses her bow to attack, Tarzan who would be a character similar to cap falcon but a lil lighter and faster, Ursula as the villain who is a heavy grappler with a long grab, Ember from Elemental as the promo/pixar rep who would be long ranger fighter, and lastly the unexpected/meme character being Fish from Chicken Little.
Wave of new DLC characters and stages:
Roger Rabbit - From who Framed Roger Rabbit. Moves are based on toons like punching glove, portable hole, disappearing ink. His final smash he would call Benny the Cab who would hit the person they get in and go on whirling dizzying ride knocked around Toontown, which would be the stage Roger Rabbit brings to the DLC pack.
Next character is Kim Possible, she can do anything, that is her tagline. Good with dodging thanks to cheerleading practice and she has her different gadgets like elastic stick lipstick and grappling hook hair dryer. Her final smash probably brings in one of the villains like Dr. Drakken that tries to hit her with a laser or something but she dodges it. She also kind of gets a similar treatment with Bowser Jr in that her alts include playing as Ron Stoppable or Shego. That or maybe Ron is more just a trophy to have Rufus help on stage. Though Shego does have her green flame blast. Maybe Kim just throws her pom poms at the opponent so Shego can still have her fire. Then any gadgets Shego use would be same as Kim except made by Drakken. Not sure what to do for the final smash then or if Kim and Shego shouldn't share a spot.
Her Stage would be The Bueno Nacho where she and Ron hangout and the different villains maybe could show up as stage hazards like monkeys for Monkey Fist or exploding golf balls for Duff Killagen.
Picking a rep for the post-renaissance is tough, you got Wilbur Robinson from Meet the Robinson's who "borrows" different inventions from his mom and dad like the peanut butter gun and help from the singing frogs, also there's an octopus?
Next possibility is Kida from Atlantis the Lost Empire she is a princess but her movie didn't make enough money. She uses spears and scimitars but also had the Atlantian technology to ride a flying fish thing or make shields. She has both your physical melee and energy based attacks and I mean what could a be a cooler final smash then essentially seeing a city sink into the ocean?
Next up is Emperor Kuzco, as a llama. He does the headbutts, and booty hits but also pulls out the potions to turn into random animals briefly for attack. His is based on transformation but then for final smash, he breaks the fourth wall and stops the game to draw around the opponent next to him and scribble them as he explains to the player how *he* is the protagonist, not the other guy. Then when the game starts playing the person scribbled over ends up taking crazy damage and sent flying up.
Only one of the three can make it, or maybe it should be someone like Tiana from Princess and The Frog or Kenai from Brother Bear, or Captain Smolett from Treasure Planet, but have to pick just one.
Maybe it comes down to who has the best stage out of those.
Going with renaissance I got to give my pick to Ariel and have her be a mermaid, but still knocked off stage. Don't need to explain how she floats in air just like how breathing underwater isn't explained for Characters but her stage is the Sunken Ship with the shark. Her final smash is basically king triton coming in and destroying everything from the human world which pretty much includes means other opponents while she begs him to stop. Also she blinds with a snarfblast, fights hand to hand with a dinglehopper and her fish friends swim in to help out, maybe with Sebastian pinching the opponent or something.
Going with extend IP like Pixar, Marvel, and Fox well Blue Sky Studio was bought by Fox who was bought by Disney which means Sid from Ice Age would be a fighter, he would... probably just get into danger and someone make it the opponent take the hit. And his stage would be a giant glacier cracking to pieces from Scrat trying to get an acorn.
Final smash just a volcano erupts or something, that's it.
Then for Pixar you have Arlo the Good Dinosaur. He just covers in fear as Spot does all the attacking before running back to Arlo to comfort his friend. His stage is probably the ravine or something, I don't know. It might not actually matter.
I just imagine Sid the Sloth fighting Arlo the Dinosaur. Also could have Arlo team up with Aladar from Dinosaur and that is all the Dinosaurs I could fit in, Littlefoot belongs to Don Bluth and possible Universal, and Rex from We're Back is Amblimation. Then Flintstones is Hanna-Barbera or the warner bros. I tried more prehistoric characters but it might just be Arlo and Sid who probably got replaced by Crash and Eddie anyway. Anyway that is my character roster for DLC.

My suggestions: Eglantine Price from "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" (dodges attacks on a broomstick, turns opponents into rabbits, Supermove is summoning an animated armour army, BFFs/friendly rivals with Mary Poppins), MacLeach the poacher from "The Rescuers Down Under" (not an especially strong fighter but uses a shotgun, bowie knife and traps to score damage, with his pet goanna for backup), either Goliath or his mentor Hudson from "Gargoyles" (flying Bruisers, plus Hudson has a sword/knife), any of the main characters from "Sky High" (they could find a lot of common ground with the Incredibles), Hopper from "A Bug's Life" (not quite sure how to explain him being the same size as the other players but he could fly, use his multiple arms for quick strikes, Supermove would be having his grasshopper swarm attack, natural enemy of Timon and Pumbaa).
Vanellope would be a hilarious way of adding this game’s Palutena’s Guidance.

For some DLC ideas, I’d love to see Oswald, and I think Kim Possible makes all too much sense even if not too likely.
And as a huge Cars fan, even though I’d LOVE to see Lightning as a fighter, he’s much better suited as an assist trophy, perhaps similar to how Kapp’n works in Unltimate
I have a few DLC characters that I think would be cool:
1. Sora (Kingdom Hearts): Yes, I know he's already in Smash, but hear me out. In Smash, his moveset is based solely on his magic and other abilities, but what if in this game, he could take advantage of Donald and Goofy too. I mean, come on, how cool would it be if you could pull out a Duck Flare with Donald or a Goofy Tornado, and for a super attack, you could have them use one of their trinity moves.
And
2. Phineas and Ferb: You mentioned them in the video how they have a lot of stuff to go with, so I was thinking about maybe implementing some of their most iconic builds as part of their moveset. I don't know, stuff like the Treehouse Robots, Remote Control Baseball, and the Rollercoaster. I'm sure people who know the show better could tell what inventions might be better though.

1. I think Felix over Vanellope would be a lot more fun, especially if Felix is purely an engineer build, making contraptions that do damage (with a heal by hitting himself in the face)

I feel like for DLC, Luz and Anne are both GIVENS. Luz could be a technical character, utlizing timing and precision with her glyphs (not to mention her smacking people with Stringbean would be freaking RICH.) Anne on the other hand could be a sword fighter, using her sword, her tennis racket, and some of the dormant calamity power! For the supers, Luz has gotta become Titan Luz, and Anne could become Calamity Anne for sure!
Ya they're definitely not "givens". Disney would add shows they like to promote more first like Phineas and Ferb, Kim Possible, and Gravity Falls.... Though if Disney had to choose between Anne and Luz they'd probably choose Luz since after they ended Owl House they started to associate their brand alot more with Luz.

For a more recent character, I feel like Mirabel from Encanto is a great pick. Her move set could be her different family members appearing with their unique powers
Imagine she makes the casita attack! She could step on the ground and make some tiles flip over in front of her. Isabela and Luisa would be fun to see too though!
Isabella as a brawler or Luisa as a zoner would make way more sense. But personally, it would be cool to see Bruno be w character, with some of his attacks having a time delay.
I don’t know about full characters but I love the idea of having like an assist trophy feature so we can add more representation and franchises. Sleeping Beauty making other fighters fall asleep, Bambi and friends storming the stage. Ursula going total giant monster like a bowser final smash. Lighting McQueen pulling a hit and run.

As for DLC, I'm just gonna suggest a 5 character season 1 if it were up to me, in the order I'd release them.
1. Spider-Man - Pretty much the face of Marvel and feels like he'd be the DLC character they'd show off before the game releases in order to get people to buy the Special edition or season pass.
2. Tron - A bit of a more out of left field pick, but I feel like Tron is underrated and he could have a interesting moveset and a beautiful stage.
3. Ursula - The Little Mermaid kicked off the Disney Renaissance so I feel like it deserves to be represented and Ariel might be a bit more difficult to do on land convincingly than Ursula.
4. Oswald - Mickey's "Older Brother" who've they used sparingly since Epic Mickey, perhaps this would finally be his chance to regain the spotlight.
5. Bill Cipher - Not only a villain from a Disney TV show, but one that might be the most powerful villain in all of all of Disney. In fact I could see him being the main villain of this game. If anyone would think it's funny to bring a bunch of characters from different universes together and have them fight, it would be Bill.
I think the DLC should include the rest of the sensational six, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Rocket & Groot, Indiana Jones, & Loki.
Donald’s Final Smash of him wearing his mage from Kingdom Hearts and casting his most powerful spell.
Minnie’s Final Smash can grab an opponent, wrapping the opponent into a present, and ending it up with a bow before exploding (similar to Villager’s and Isabelle’s Final Smash)
Pluto’s Final Smash can have him hitting an opponent, showing Pluto with other animals from other Disney movies (like Dug from UP, the Dalmatians from 101 Dalmatians, Bolt from Bolt, etc) and all of them walk all over the opponent (similar to Yoshi’s Final Smash)
Since Spider-Man is the most popular superhero character, it’s hard to see to not include him. He can play similarly as he was in Marvel vs Capcom 3
Black Panther’s Final Smash can have him hitting an opponent, either T’Challa and/or Shuri summoned the Dora Milaje to do some damage to the opponent before Black Panther doing the final blow and saying Wakanda Forever
Disney loves bringing back Baby Groot for Baby Groot series, why not bring him back in someway while also giving Rocket a spotlight. Groot can be on Rocket’s shoulders in the fight and for their Final Smash, Rocket can give Groot water and the roles would be reversed. Rocket would show off his best weapons to the opponents
Indiana Jones’s Final Smash, can be him running away from the boulder. He’ll get himself safe from it, but not the opponents
Loki is one of Disney Plus’s best Marvel series, why not have him be included. His Final Smash can have him and change any opponents near him into Loki Variants. Loki would then hide, then the TVA Agents (maybe including Agent Mobius) would show up and starts pruning every “Loki Variants” giving them the instant kill.
Generally a good roster overall, but I have some Alternatives for some characters that might fit better.
Instead of Snow White, I feel like The Seven Dwarves would fit better. You could have them work like Bowser Jr. where each Alternative skin is another one of the Dwarves with the same moveset. No shade towards Snow White, but her character just generally doesn't suit the fighting game genre. And the dwarves are still iconic enough to represent the film.
Hiro by himself I feel really doesn't fit the duo he makes with Baymax. If he were a fighter, he'd almost HAVE to be grouped with Baymax for it to feel right, but as we've established, Baymax doesn't fight. So I think either Fred or Yokai (The Villain from Big Hero 6) would maybe be a better choice. Fred could be a Charizard-esque fighter with high jumps, fire breathing and heaver attack moves. Meanwhile, Yokai can have some very interesting attacks due to Hiro's mini-construction bots.
There are a few fighters that feel completely out of place. Jake Sully, Bart, Iron Man, and Darth Vader to name them. I know that they're associated with Disney these days but the company isnt one of the first things you think of when it comes to those properties.
Instead of Bart, you could easily replace him with Max from A Goofy Movie. Sure, it also takes place in the Mickey Mouse universe, but it's still far removed like Scrooge and has become enough of a cult classic to warrant his place in the line-up.
For the other three I'm going to pitch different character from other IPs over similar characters to take their place.
I think getting some Kingdom Hearts action in there would be a missed opportunity, despite Sora's inclusion in Smash Bros. If you can't get Sora in there, then I think getting Roxas, Axle or any of the XIII Nobodies is a good way of getting that representation in there, plus it's a subtle nod towards the convoluted KH timeline.
As the last hand-drawn film, I think Princess and the Frog deserves some rep too. Dr.Facilier would be a perfect choice here, being an iconic villain with that amazing song. Plenty of his attacks could include voodoo/hoodoo (I forget which is which, I'm not well versed in that area) and his "friends on the other side."
Also, Gravity Falls is a must-have, iconic representation of their animated series. It would be a tough choice between Dipper & Mabel (as a duo fighter) or Bill Cipher, but I think ultimately Bill is the best icon for the series. I imagine a lot of his attacks would involve shapeshifting to attack or cause weird effects on opponents.
If we want to incorporate Disney's live-action sitcoms, I think Zack & Cody is a perfect addition to include as the icons for that significant portion of Disney's brand. Their attacks would probably involve classic "mischievous kid" energy. Slingshots, skateboards, etc. Alternatively, Alex from Wizards of Waverly Place not only brings another magic character to the mix (which the roster is a bit lacking in) but Selena Gomez is one of the most well-known stars to come from Disney, behind Miley Cyrus.
Finally, Oswald is too well known now to not eventually be included, and if they did something similar to Echo FIghers, would probably function similar to Mickey, since Oswald was so prominent in the Wii games.

Disney and Square Enix are making a platform fighter, so there are definitely going to be Kingdom Hearts in it.
As for the other Disney fighters, there should be a mix of core Disney (Walt Disney, Fox, Pixar, & Marvel) characters and Disney XD characters.
I would love to see Sora fighting characters like Luz Noceda, Dipper & Mabel, Anne Boonchuy, Hailey Banks, Phineas & Ferb, Star Butterfly, Bartok the Magnificent, and Homer Simpson.
I feel like Dipper & Mabel should be a duo because they're twin siblings, and they do pretty much everything together.
Phineas & Ferb should also be a duo fighter. Phineas & Ferb are stepbrothers who work on everything together, so seeing them separated would feel weird.

DLC definitely needs Treasure Island representation, from live action early on, to Muppets, and of course animated movie it is clearly a favorite story of the company. As for which character I'd say Long John Silver from Treasure Planet, using his sword for base attacks with his special moves be his various cybernetic gadgets and Morph's shape shifting, and his ultimate would be him flying off into space while the stage is going Nova or collapsing into a black hole
Snow White was in a recent Lego Disney Princess animated special where she was obsessed with using an ax, so I guess that's her weapon.

Snow White would be a cool summoner. Basic attacks could include summoning a bird to fly at an opponent but her ultimate would definitely be summoning all seven dwarves to wreck havok.
I would LOVE If this had some elements form the other Disney crossover games, A stage based on Disney Unaverse And A Stage, Items, and even moves from Disney Infinity. Love To see Goofy as a DLC Fighter alongside the Gary from Gary's Game and a jungle book rep. Alts could include black and whit costumes for characters who had them, and transparent alts to reference the Disney Infinity Figures. As the last fighter for DLC it would have to be Oswald
For DLC, it would be cool to see Luz Noceda from The Owl House. The glyph system would make for an interesting moveset, and her Titan form can be a great Final Smash.

I really enjoyed this! I think most of them make sense and I love the small screen shoutouts. the only one I would add would be Dr. Faustus from Princess and the frog. I think his magic-wielding would add some nice variety to the roster and a final of sucking his opponents to "the other side" would be all kinds of epic. keep going man, new sub.

I think The Incredibles should be a character like Pokemon Trainer where you can swap between Bob, Helen, Violet, and Dash, with Jack Jack as their big finisher like a final smash.
Seeing a lot of folks wanting bill cipher as a character, which I totally get, he’s an iconic Disney TVA villain, but consider: Mabel. She’s got so much personality and her different arts and crafts endeavors could make for a really cool moveset, and she could even use the grappling hook as a recovery

To make Maui a bit different that a standard bruiser you could give him a lasso to reference his "I lassoed the sun and the moon in the sky."
an awesome DLC character could be Anne and Sprig from Amphibia. Close combat melee attacks with Anne’s Tennis Racket, ranged moves with Sprig’s slingshot, and final smash would obviously be her Calamity form
I think goofy would be such a fun character to play, his attacks can be him being clumsy and incorporate different sports from the how to shorts and his final smash could bring out max and power line and they do the dance they do at the end of a goofy movie.

A very dynamic National Geographic stage that is full of scene changes and environmental hazards
This is great and all and the majority of your picks make sense to me. My only criticism, I felt like some more villains could be used. Discussion time
So, not like a 50/50 split but like 70/30 for like a story mode or something, idk. Like, Maleficent I agree with 100% and Captain Hook is fine but he seems redundant with Jack Sparrow also in the roster. Maybe you could swap Hook for Pan or Jack for Davy Jones, either change I'd be fine with.
But some other villains I believe could work to add to the roster would be...
*Ursula* as a ranged zoner using her tentacles, Flotsam and Jetsum for ranged or close up combos, various spells, well-timed "body language" counters, and an ultimate of her super-sizing, creating a maelstrom and blasting opponents with the trident like the end of Little Mermaid.
*Dr. Facilier* from Princess and the Frog. He'd use shifty shadow magic and tricks to attack people's shadows and immobilize opponents in various ways. A unique option could be using his "friends on the other side" to take damage in place of him that would hurt the opponent when well-timed or simply throw them at opponents from a far. His staff could work for close range as well. His ultimate could be one like captain falcon's where opponents in front of him are summoned to his voodoo shop where they are tied up by snakes to a chair and turned to frogs before the big voodoo heads opens its mouth blasting a huge beam of evil magic at them blasting them back to the regular stage in their normal forms.
While just a regular animal, *Shere Khan* would really help bring another unique fighter style and shape to the roster. He'd be a lot more feral in playstyle and rely on well timed counters to ambush opponents. A good ultimate would be a stampede of various animals from jungle book, (maybe even cameos from Mowgli, Bagheera and Baloo) trampling into all opponents on the field with Shere Khan appearing with a forest fire backdrop as he lunges forward and attacks all players in front of him (kinda like brawl Gannon)
Last one is a bit out there but *Chernabog* really needs some love in recent years. He could honestly be the big bad that becomes a playable character at the end of the story. A big hulking figure that makes devastating use of his talons, wings, and tail at close range while using large gusts of wind and fire or the souls of the damned to attack opponents out of range. His ultimate would be similar to OG iceclimbers where a mountain forms on stage except its giant chernabog a top the mountain from the Fantasia short and an army of souls surround the structure and attack all opponents who touch chernamointain before a large gust of wind from Chernabog's wings blows all opponents off stage
I actually like your idea for Snow White, her moves would be similar to Toad helping Peach, but all Seven Dwarfs would contribute an attack. Video game logic, they just teleport in to perform the attack before popping out.
There are some things I'd change (instead of Mr. Incredible, a Pokémon Trainer archetype character of the family), but overall, this is a great list! I did notice a lack of live-action show representation, which I feel would be the perfect material for a proper joke character. As such, to capitalize on meme culture, I want to see Cory from Cory in the House.
We definitely don't need a poke trainer type incredibles. honestly the only ones we need playable are Mrs and Mr incredible.

I have to agree with a lot of them too.
I think Sora would be absolutely fitting, as not only is he already now a fighting game crossover character, but Sora is THE crossover character.
The bulk of his game series is traveling to disney worlds and encountering their characters. He has already met 18/30 (unless he met Venelope idr) characters in this roster, so I feel like it only makes sense that he joins the battle too. His dialogue crossover options with most of the characters are too easy and obvious to pass up.
Unlike his Smash appearance, though, he could TOTALLY have a unique moveset.
Sure his movement mechanics could relatively stay the same, but he could totally use Donald and Goofy as team characters, summoning them for team up attacks like he does throughout all of Kingdom Hearts. This could also work even better if team mechanics are implemented, and he could use his limit attacks with said characters like he does in KH2.
If you were feeling real funky, you could implement Drive forms or Form changes, but those always struck me as too complicated for a fighting game. Unless it was one only one form change that could activate at high percentages, such as Final or duel form (and his secondary keyblade being Ultima Weapon).
I neat little detail could be that whenever Sora defeats a character from a certain game series, his keyblade changes to the keychain that he gets from that world, ie: decissive pumpkin from Jack Skellington, Three wishes from Genie, etc.
He could bring in Hollow Bastion/Dive into the Heart again, but you could also have Traverse Town, Destiny Islands, or Castle Oblivion.
I also think it would be a nice nod if he was the final DLC but that might be too on the nose.
Other than that, I really like this selection.
I must admit that the comments got some ideas going in my brain.
I think villains like Yzma and Kronk, Hades, and Ursula are a must have, even if Hades already has his spot taken.
You could also include extra stages based on movies that don't appear or would even really have a chance to.
Those that come to mind are UP, with paradise falls (maybe the waterfall as a backdrop), Gusteau's Restaurant from Ratatouille, The Mystery Shack from Gravity Falls, Casita from Encanto (perhaps a dynamic/moving stage), and the Disney Castle itself, perhaps even a stage that is a nod to the Toybox gamemode from Disney Infinity (especially if it had the sandbox music I'd love that).
Speaking of Disney Infinity, you could have Smash esq items like how Disney infinity chose there's. Mable's Kitten fists, a generic lightsaber, hell, even Mickey's Keyblade.
And there's WAAAY too many options for assist trophies. But I will mention a KH original character, such as Riku or Roxas showing up, as they probably wouldn't come to mind.
Love the selections! I see several side and main character not chosen as smash effects or trophy assists... The inclusion of Sparrow was a no brainer as he has presented himself already in a Disney semi fighting game ALA Kingdom Hearts. Animating his live action style would not be difficult. I can see Stitch as a quick Pokemon style with a Final Smash move using the Rocket like Olimar does. Yo Hiro's final smash could so much be like Mega-Man and Persona style bringing the rest of the BH6 gang on the screen and do a fly-in all out attack! Also for a Dev - I'd place my investment in Gameloft with Disney Interactive and Avalanche. These devs have worked on other Disney IP's. Plenty of DLC potentials... this is Disney after all.
This was awesome. A couple changes I would make would be to include Elastigirl instead of Mr. Incredible, just for variety since Incredible would be similar to lots of the big punchy characters. And then I think Jack Sparrow and Captain Hook is redundant, so replace Hook with Peter Pan, who would be light and easy to launch, but super quick and the best recovery in the game.
Oswald! And Mater! Anger from inside out would be a good one too.
As a big fan if the muppets franchise I would definitely use kermit and I don't think he would be the weakest in attacks when he can literally break the fourth wall and create black wholes. His move set would still have those small punches like villager’s but could have really cool special moves. Great roster you did it great🐸
Some fun picks for fighters for sure. I wouldn't have thought to include Mary Poppins but Mr. Incredible, Sulley, and Beast all seem pretty similar as do Jack Sparrow and Captain Hook. I'd say maybe sub Mr. Incredible for his wife since stretchy powers aren't really in here and Captain Hook for Peter Pan since he can float and send out Tinkerbell for certain attacks. As for who else to include, I think Tigger could have a fun move set bouncing all around the stage, Kim Possible's spy gear would make her a cool pick although it'd give her some overlap with Perry, Indiana Jones seems like a no-brainer with his gun and whip combo, and Kevin McCallister could be a fun trap-setter character. I know those latter two aren't AS associated with Disney but they certainly fit well as fighting game characters and I think would make fans very happy.

Pretty decent, I know it's kinda hard to pick only a few Disney characters and I know you can't please everyone with a catalogue as huge as theirs. Though what most people fail to realize when making these is that EA owns the exclusive game rights for the Simpsons, which has caused them to be excluded in every Disney-related crossover game since the Fox acquisition (including Warped Kart Racers).
Though for me, my more realistic picks would include Isabella or Luisa from Encanto (it'd be interesting to see her interact with Hercules since he's mentioned in her song) and Mei from Turning Red. My out there picks would include Cheshire Cat, Kaa from Jungle Book, Lady Kluck from Robin Hood, Mechanicles from the Aladdin cartoon, Linguini and Remy from Ratitoulie, Hank from Finding Dory, Jay the Jetix mascot, a Disney sitcom character like Alex from Wizards, the Lab Rats, or someone sillier like Lizzie McGuire (the animated version), Mr. Moseby or Arwin from Zack & Cody, Tim Taylor from Home Improvement (his moveset would be based on the SNES game), Grunkle Stan and Ford as a duo fighter, and Bandit from Bluey as a guest fighter.
Some Disney Channel/XD shows and movies are based on superpowers or combat skills or at least have characters who do so I think they could be used for DLC. People like me would love it because of the throwbacks to our childhood
Woody and Buzz are basically a buy 1 get 1 character. I don't think they would ever separate. If they did a platform fighting game, I could easily see both of them in it.
