      Indeed man, the Choco Fresh are insane. Always going for them when I see them somewhere sold. Fun fact, did you know they're sold in Central and Eastern Europe in a pack of 2 in one box and not just 5? 😁

    Wow, my first comment. wonderful trip, Vlad. The most important thing for the driver is to rest on time. Have a happy and safe trip!

      Thank you Galina. It has been a while since I took it on the trip, but it still drives equally as good as in December. Take care!

    Hello,
    Have you noticed a change in engine behavior?
    Or a drop in consumption with high-octane petrol (100/102)?
    thanks for your feedback

    • @VladsBoredom

      Hey there! I have noticed that the revs are a bit down when the car cold starts, but other noticeable changes not really. I pump in Switzerland usually RON 98, as only Shell sells RON 100 at a crazy price, but when I'm abroad I try to get the highest number possible, because the fuel has good additives that protect the engine and the fuel burns cleaner.

    I must say that this updated "e-Skyactiv-X" is better than the first gen "Skyactiv X". The engine is quieter, smoother and keener - more than the middling figures of an extra 6hp and 16nm of torque would suggest. Now enough to overcome the long gearing. I own this car and so far am very happy with it.

      Thanks for your input! I have test driven the first gen "Skyactiv X" too, but I don't remember it being so punchy, but that's due to the automatic gearbox. I think the manual makes it so much more enjoyable to drive. The second gear is particularly long and my preferred choice to shift into for engine breaking 😂.

    Have you noticed any rattling noise in the dashboard?

    • @VladsBoredom

      No, so far there is no rattle from there, just from the subwoofer which I got temporarily fixed. I plan to release a video with my ownership experience of it after a year, so stay tuned 🙏🏻

    How is the cabin noise when driving at high speeds 100km/h+? I’ve heard it doesn’t like the rougher roads

    • @VladsBoredom

      Depends on the tyres. In my opinion the car has great NVH levels and I don't hear a lot of wind noise.

    02:43 the beautiful Chiemsee - the place where I live :D I enjoy your videos, I am also thinking about to buy the Mazda you have. But yes, also in Southgermany it is almost impossible to find this car. The local Mazda shop said today, maybe only 5% of Mazda 3 are Fastback/Sedans. But I won't give up until I find one :D

    Hey, did you additionally rustproof your car. I heard that they only sloppily apply the protection at the port of Antwerpen for the European market without removing any trim. The factory doesn't do shit. If your car is "greasy" underneath it can give you a false sense of security. If you remove any trim, you may find it is bone dry at critical points. I was about 99% ready to buy the new sedan, but upon deeper research I am kind of scared and conflicted. 1. The paint chipping(rust). Especialy on the roof(imagine a rotten through roof on a midrange car in 2024), 2. Electro plating peeling of suspension components(rust), 3. I read there have been some minor batches of cars in 2019 with dirty steel(manufacturing defect, rusty welds). I love the car, but don't know if I should buy one or wait 😁. If I buy one I will probably wrap it whole with PPF and get it rust proofed. Greetings from Slovenia

      Hey man, actually I have also a friend from Slovenia who bought the Mazda 3 as a sedan and he is happy with it like no other. I am so far happy with the PPF, considering it is a super expensive investment. As for rust, I'm not sure, as I didn't go too deep into that topic. Mazda has solved the rust issues since the 3rd generation of the Mazda 3, as Ford is the one at fault for causing the rust issues. Overall, the Mazda 3 is better than its German rivals and I think there is no better car for that money that you can buy. Hope this helps and greetings from Switzerland 😁.

    Vlad, what has been the highest miles per gallon you have achieved ever?

    • @VladsBoredom

      The lowest number in a drive was around 3.9 l/100 km but with one fuel tank it was so far 5.5 l/100 km. Hopefully with the warmer weather and soon the summer tyres the fuel consumption will go further down as the e-Skyactiv X works best with warmer temperatures.
