I have a 2021 Mazda 3 turbo hatchback. And for the Bose speakers there’s 12 speakers around the entire car. The chrome trim is only in the front door panels while everything else is plastic trims. Regardless all the speakers are Bose speakers/tweeters. And the subwoofer is in the trunk on top of the spare tire as well. I hope that helps gabby

I had no idea this was not a char channel lol. I was just trying to find out if it's worth to get the carbon instead of the preferred. Or maybe the premium. But I don't want turbo or awd. I don't see a reason to have turbo in regular commute cars. Something that just lowers your longevity. I ride rockets so I don't need speed craving from a regular car I just want them get me from a to B but also have some creature comforts and look decent enough.
Same. Even just hearing the door chime I'm like omg that would annoy me ill have to ask if they adjust volume before buying. Never would have thought of that.

i bought this same exact model not too long ago, i almost got in a really bad crash and the smart break saved my life. my cousin has one as well and has had no problems with it 100k miles in, about to hit 150k! some other good things about this is that the gas is pretty good on this car, i can go on several trips without constantly refueling and it only costs me $20-25 to get full tank. my mazda dealership unfortunately didn't give access to free carwashes but gave me free access to the app for 2 years including some other benefits. i let other family members and people drive my car and they mentioned how smooth it was to accelerate and brake. i'm sort of visually impaired (still completely able to drive safely) however it takes time for me to look and determine if the road is clear or not, the car's sensor reacts really early and i was able to adjust it in the settings! there are so many safety features inside the car that aren't mentioned that i absolutely love. if you also are sensitive to noise, this car isn't really loud on the road and the sounds you can adjust in settings. some things for people that may be looking at this car or getting it brand new is that for me personally, the brakes and accelerator were hard to break into. it becomes more comfortable to drive and brake once you start driving it for a few weeks. also the part where you mentioned when turning on the car it sort of makes a roaring sound, it also becomes a little more quiet once you drive it for a while! i'm unsure if others have had this problem but apperently using a non-authentic apple charger makes your apple carplay keep reconnecting and disconnecting. a major downside is that most dealerships do not give you access to the mazda navigation system, the sd cards cost about 25-30 dollars on amazon but you'll need to check if it's compatible with your vehicle. usually a lot of people use apple or google maps so that isn't exactly a big issue unless you don't have a lot of data or a charger for the console.
I just got mine today!!! Carbon edition 2024 and they finally added a charging pad and wireless CarPlay!!! I loved how simple everything is in it…. I watched this video a while ago and you definitely influenced my decision to buy one

Things to consider are, its a dust magnet.... the Piano black will scratch easily.... so use a good quality microfiber cloth to wipe gracefully! Oh, replace your cabins filter twice yearly! save the cash and do it yourself.... the Bose system is 12 speakers, the front doors Bose plates are cladding covers for design display, that blends well with front dash display!
Just bought a '22 hatch carbon edition. Love it so far, only 2800 miles when I got it. I decided on '22 because it was still with a year of warranty and is the only year to not have a recall (so far). Edit: someone probably said this, but the buttons on the right side if your wheen are cruise control buttons, not lane assist. One is for speed, the other is for follow distance.
On a cold start the engine intentionally revs higher initially then settles down to warm it up faster, it's supposed to be like that even my Merecedes does the same thing
Your car has a complete Bose system, all of the speakers are BOSE, but not all of them are going to be grill branded. Cold starts for all modern cars (specially with direct injection) are noisy due to the quick warm up system and the direct injection itself, pretty normal.

I have a 2022 carbon picked it up at 7k miles and definitely looks better if you get the window tint I’m also painting the calibers white but can’t find white so red
Excellent review. I'm thinking of getting this exact model and color in the next few weeks. My only hesitation is that it's made in Mexico and most other Mazdas are made in Japan. I'm hoping that doesn't affect the quality. Enjoy your car!

FYI you could get a wireless charger but if you do, you sacrifice your console storage in the armrest. It also apparently overheats, and charges slowly but with wireless you can't connect to Apple carplay cause the 2023 doesn't have wireless connectivity. So now you go back to it needing to be plugged in...removing the need for wireless charging. Also sport mode slightly lowers the times between gear shifts so its supposed to get you to 6th gear faster...might save about 1 second at most
I feel sad for those who recently purchased a 23 model recently, they fixed the issue with the small refresh in the 24. Wireless charger is standard on more trims and located where it should be. Add to that the inclusion of Wireless apple carplay and Android auto and a bigger display on some trims.
I've looked into some wireless chargers but I don't mind too much that I have to plug my phone in. I do agree however that this would've been a more modern touch. but most of the time my phone needs a charge anyways!
not at all. the wheel is very light and easy to maneuver! the leather is soft so it's easy to glide over when turning/steering. they may be talking about the driving lane assist feeling heavy, but that can be turned off.
If I were you I would wait for the 24. Having the wireless charger where it should be and wireless carplay and android auto on a bigger screen will future proof the car longer.

Wireless is not enough to warrant paying more for even less...tho the second trim getting heater mirrors is a big improvement

I've looked into some wireless chargers but I don't mind too much that I have to plug my phone in. I do agree however that this would've been a more modern touch. but most of the time my phone needs a charge anyways!

Hey I have a 23 carbon hatch the Bose speakers are for all the speakers it’s just the Bose cover grill is only on the front 2 speakers
My only issue with this car was feeling cramped in the car. Other than that, it's a really solid car.
