th-cam.com/video/zsDRTGnXdgA/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared Hey guys, I released a driving review of my Mazda 3 up here. I tested it on various roads and also showed some of the little upgrades I have applied onto it (including the new PPF) and giving my two cents about it. Enjoy!
@@matthewharhai4039 You bought a Mazda and it had quality issues? Where is your Mazda built, and when? I heard about some first year problems with the 3 from 2019. Also there might be differences in build quality for Japanese and non Japanese manufactured vehicles
@mrknoklene Yes, it is a Japanese built vehicle. The Mazda3 I traded in on this one was a 2018 Grand Touring built in Mexico. Thar car didn't have problems.
I have a used 2020 Mazda 3 sedan but it’s automatic! Honestly you picked the right choice! It’s such a sporty and reliable sedan with such a premium feel to it! I like your color choice ! I got mine in sliver ! I am pretty sure the dark blue and sliver paint has an extra layer of paint so it will definitely hold up !
That's great that you have also the same car, even though it's an automatic. I hope the same about the thicker paint, but nevertheless I want to get a PPF done, because I think it's worth it, especially since it can prevent most little scratches and keep the paint longer nice. I can't recall seeing a silver one around, but I'm convinced it looks better than polymetal grey 😁👍🏻.
well your Mazda 3 isn't the only one in Switzerland. I've got mine delivered in October. Also Exclusive Line manual 2.0 e-skyactiv-X Sedan, with all available packs (with sunroof), white leather and in deep crystal blue. I even have the same rubber floor mats. I had really hoped mine was the rarest spec XD. it's a really nice car and i love it. I just got the front, hood and fenders of my Mazda 3 covered in ppf. I think it's really worth it
Ain't no way you got literally the same car with one little difference 😭. Yours got delivered in October too? Awesome! Yeah I hoped the same, because I know that people here just don't buy cars like this as they prefer cars like a Tesla Model Y or Škoda Octavia station wagon 💀. Thanks for following me in Instagram, I gotta ask you a couple of things there regarding PPF and other stuff. I'm so glad you reached out to me, you literally made my day 🙌🏻.
Great choice.same colour as my cx5..mazdas are great reliable cars like Toyotas and Hondas if not better with more luxury touches..do your maintenance and it will last forever 👍
Thanks! Yes, you're absolutely right. Reliability is important, but I also want the little bit of extra luxurious feeling inside the cabin. Mazda did a great job with it in their latest models which received a facelift or new model launches. Also maintenance is less expensive compared to their German counterparts too. ✅
Yeah back in 2020 when you came here we had the test drive and even then I was so in love with it. Never thought it'd have a manual in the full-spec sedan ever, but when I found it out 6 months ago, I knew I had to give it another try. Now you can see that I am not disappointed with the decision I made 😁💪🏻.
Nice, it looks nice. I bought a mazda 3 hatch 2023 model, the same colour as yours. My car arrives in Jan 2024. So, it's not long to wait. My model is the Evolve SP
Congrats for your purchase! I hope it arrives on time. From which country are you from? Trim levels vary from country to country and I'd like to look yours up to see what specs it has. Mine was supposed to arrive in December 2023 or in January 2024, but it came in a very quick 3 months after I ordered it in the end of June 😅.
@@zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz9 thanks for the info, I just checked it out and I must say the spec is really good for what you pay. With that kind of money you just get a Mazda 2 here. No wonder why so many people buy a Mazda 3 in Oz. One car I envy you for having is the Mazda BT-50, wish we had it here too, it just looks so premium for a pick-up truck and would have been a good compromise between the D-Max and the 3 🙌🏻.
I love this Mazda 3. The blue color suits the car so well and I’m thinking about buying one this year or next. It’s beautiful. How’s the reliability of Mazda? Idk how more ppl don’t buy these cars. They’re gorgeous. I see them parked or on the road and I can’t help but to just stare at them. I’ve had 2 Honda Civics which have been reliable. But these Mazdas are just calling my name
I can immediately tell you that it's pretty good. Mazda rarely causes problems and mine so far has been pretty good. They have upped their game in terms of reliability and perceived quality by even outdoing the Germans. In Switzerland they are rather expensive compared to Germany or other areas of the world, so people don't buy them that much compared to a VW or Toyota. The Honda Civic is also a great car, but unfortunately it has no manual transmission anymore for the European market due to emission targets. I think in today's day and age, Mazda is like the perfect balance between quality, reliability, fuel economy, driving satisfaction and price. The only thing what isn't great is the rear legroom, but it's still very comfortable to sit in if you're around 180 cm tall.
What a great combination...state of the art Skyactiv-X and manual! I woukd have preferred a hatchback in red, with red interior, but your car is still looks fantastic, nevertheless 👍
I gotta admit that your preferred combo would be also mine if it was for the hatchback. It's just the best value for money hatch you can buy. Sadly the red interior didn't exist for the sedan, there it's either black or white. Thanks man, much appreciated 🙏🏻.
Gerngschehe! I gotta admit there is not a huge interest in that model here, but I must say it's literally the best buy in this whole segment and worth every little penny. What cars did you check out further? Did you buy something in the meantime?
My dad just literally bought the same car. There àre 60 let me drive it for about a hundred miles and then when you get on the gas you know her on the highway it just takes off and looks beautiful everything on it was done beautiful they need to start doing this with American cars to bring you the card number so back up and bring my cars here to America miss the only problem I have with it is the price because my daughter from a dealership and all that crap and all the prices go up but he loves it and he hasn't had a car to himself since 1987 when he had a Jeep Grand Cherokee truck
You made great choice! I love how Mazda 3 sedan looks. This blue color is one of the best colors in my opinion, it will look like black in cloudy day, and blue in sunny. Just a great pick. And such a good decision with manual gearbox. Mazda manuals are way better than their automatic gearboxes. I'm jealous!
Thank you very much Jakub! I seriously don't regret the purchase and the configuration is still as awesome as it was back then when I rolled the car out of the showroom. I hope that you can get that car one day too, it's truly the best value for money car you can buy in this segment. 📈🙌🏻
It's a fantastic car. Surprised you had to pay the equivalent of £37000 to get it. The top of the range Takumi 186bhp brand new here in the UK is about £8 to £9000 cheaper with discount from Mazda or from well known car supermarkets. For a car capable of 55mpg (UK) and all the safety kit you'll ever need, it's a bargain. Who cares about fancy ambient lighting you'll be bored with within a month that Merc give you? Nothing touches this, enjoy your purchase!
I wholeheartedly agree! The Swiss importer of Mazda is insane with their prices and it's even worse for the CX-60, which is the best SUV money can buy, but people get better deals on Mercs and BMWs with free servicing packages and go for them instead. I envy you for the better prices in the UK, because £8-9k is a huge amount of money. Yes the ambient lighting looks very cool abd makes the cabin a lot fancier, but the understatement Mazda has with their classy style is a lot more appealing to me. Also the manual versions consume more fuel and have worse driving performance stats than the 186 bhp version of the Mazda 3, so the decision is clear what car makes the most sense to own. Thank you so much, have a good one and merry Christmas! 🎄🎁
That is true, but you mustn't forget that the rest of the world doesn't get the e-Skyactiv-X engine and also that in the US you need to calculate the taxes into the car. Cars in general aren't cheap here, but you can get the same Mazda 3 like I do with the same spec for around €32k in Serbia.
I can understand your point. Yes the Mazda 6 is in quite a few aspects better, but it's also a bigger car and a lot older than the Mazda 3. Yes they tried to upgrade it as much as they could, even with ADAS, but it's overall a slow seller due to it being so dated and only having a price advantage and being made in Japan, which is a huge benefit over being made in Europe or North America. As for the suspension, I've driven a few multi-link systems and compared them to the Mazda 3's torsion beam and I must say the different is not as big as you might imagine it to be. The ride is not uncomfortable and it handles very well in corners. Maybe the Mazda 6 is better, but compared to a Toyota Corolla with double wishbone, I think it matters more what seats you choose over what kind of suspension it has.
If nobody told you the 3 has torsion bram and you drove it, you would not notice any difference. Mazda 3 drives way more composed than my A4 which has one of the most complex suspensions.
They don't sell a manual sedan in the US. However, I'm in love with the design of the hatchback and so I bought that instead in soul red crystal metallic!
Great choice! As long as it's a manual and gives you a smile when driving, it's more than worth it. I like the design of the hatchback, but I think it's usable space isn't that great and think for my purpose the sedan is better and I'm lucky there is a manual version here with full spec which I got in the end with absolutely zero regrets. About your paint, get at least PPF for the full front, the paint is very thin and chips easily. Happy motoring with your hatchback! 🙌🏻
Salut! I had to say that i already owned 2 Mazda 3 (2019 and 2022 year model) in the past 4 years and next mouth i'll get my 3rd. 1st i had it for about 85.000 km the 2nd for 95.000km and i never had any problems with it. Blue is nice but mine were snowflake white, for me is the best color to watch in the evening.
Salut Bogdan! That's awesome that you have had so much experience with the car. How come you have to change them so frequently and getting so many km? Were they also with the X engine? I think white looks extremely sharp with the hatchback and the blacked out grill, it looks like yin and yang. What do you like about the Mazda 3 the most?
Hi Balazs! I have been once inside a Focus from the current generation, but not in a Golf MK8. Yes the suspension is allegedly on the firmer side of things, but it's a great cruiser on longer distance driving and the leather seats are comfortable. The cloth seats are alright, but you'd feel the bumps there more. I think as long as you you don't have potholes like craters you should be fine 👍🏻.
Recently purchased a 2024 Mazda 3 select sport in Platinum quartz. This is my fifth Mazda 3 in 10 years. Let me give you suggestions for the problem with piano black accents that I learned on my black 2022 Mazda 3 preferred. Yes they scratch easily but buy yourself a small tube of Polywatch. It's normally used to take the scratches of watch crystals. With a soft cloth in a few minutes all your scratches will be gone.
Thanks for the suggestion! I still haven't removed the centre console foil and don't intend doing it until I get to the car wrap shop so that they can do it all custom made. I hope your method really works, because sometimes there are all sorts of magic utensils which just mask it for a while, but then the previous state reappears again. I don't know if we got Polywatch over here in Switzerland, but I might find something similar.
sedans are a dying breed! I have a deep crystal blue 2021 mazda 3 sedan 2.5s (US market) and I also got it new a few years back. I still love my car to death, the design and paint color is so beautiful. I will tell you, the bumper is still going to chip if you drive on the highway, mayyybe not as bad as the soul red, but mazda paint is generally very thin, as with most modern vehicles. Get it ppfed if you care! So cool that you have a manual, I'd love to see you talk about how it drives.
And I don't understand why, sedans are lovely to drive and better aerodynamics than SUVs. Thanks for the advice, yes that was my biggest concern when I bought the Mazda 3 and it is definitely valid. The PPF is going to come 100%, I think it's totally worth it since respraying is very expensive here. I'm going to make a video about the whole driving experience including ADAS sometime soon. Hopefully I won't let you wait for too long. 🙏🏻
Thanks for your input Zheniya. I see what I can do there. I thought of doing a video where I do a test drive and show the important functions of the ADAS system work. 👍🏻
I just ordered the hatch version base model in black. I like the sedan but it's not practical, I would never buy a car that you cannot put in it at least a washing machine. And sedan is just too long for tight city streets. I can't wait to receive my brand new car.
Congrats on the order! I think even if you go for the base model, you're getting a good car which is better than the competition in terms of quality. I didn't like the hatchback due to the thick C pillar and the fact that it is everywhere here. Yeah that's fair with the washing machine, its easier to move things. The sedan isn't hard to park, but maybe that's just me because I have 360° camera 😅. Let me know when you get it!
@@VladsBoredomThanks! I went with the base model primarily because I didn't want keyless entry and Automatic A/C and didn't want 18 inch wheels due to uneven roads here. and of course it was 2000 euro less expensive :)). It was a no brainer. I currently drive Audi A4 and I am having troubles parking it, sedan's length is almost the same as A4, that's why it was a no no for me. Initially I didn't like the hatch, but it grew on me and I believe in has a stiffer chassis and rides quieter than sedan when tested them back-to-back. Can't wait to drive it. like you mentioned, I also tested cars like A3, the new Astra and 308, Golf mk8...etc Mazda 3 beats them hands down and offers the best preis-leistungs!! BTW I wanted to order crystal blue colour, but it looks almost black, that's why I said why not just order black when blue is as black as jet black. I'll upload a video of it when I have it. Cheers!
@@ampm9771 hmm 2000€ doesn't seem like a huge price difference if you were asking me, especially with the significant upgrade you get in terms of it, but it's understandable that there are quite a few people who dislike automatic A/C and big sized wheels. I can be lucky it's not more than 18 inch, as there are even bigger ones on small SUVs 😅. When the hatchback suits your personal needs more than the sedan, by all means go for it, it's a brilliant car and an eye catcher in any way! I can't wait to hear from you when the car is finally here, mine came within 3 months and needed originally 5-6 months, which is for a car made in Japan super fast. Talk to you soon! P.S. du hättest mir auch auf Deutsch schreiben können, beherrsche ich tatsächlich besser als Englisch 😁. Bin auch froh nicht die einzige deutschsprachige Person zu sein die "ok lah" kennt 😂.
which do you personally prefer an suv or a sedan? And if you had the money to get the cx 60 over the sedan would you do it or save that extra money and still settle with the sedan?
Hi Ibrahim. I am a bit mixed about that. I love sedans, but SUVs not really. Instead of an SUV I would go for a pick-up truck instead, which Mazda has in other markets, but not in Europe, namely the BT-50. However, we got its twin the Isuzu D-Max and I love that car very much. However, given that I am still young and want something what's more dynamic to drive, I think that the Mazda 3 suits my character more. The CX-60 is a premium car just like the Mazda 3 and BT-50, but it exists only as an automatic. The CX-5 exists as a manual though, but I think the CX-5 isn't really spacious and a bit too big for being so small from the inside, so I prefer the Mazda 3 sedan anytime. If money and space wasn't an issue, I would just own two cars, a sedan and a pick-up truck. Hope this answer helps 🙌🏻.
I'm kind of surprised the e-Skyactiv-X doesn't get better mileage. 6.4l/km is about 36.7mpg. On my 2.5l M3S (191hp), I have averaged 34.2mpg since taking delivery (have over 15k miles now). Maybe that's why we don't have that version in the US (pay significantly more but not significantly better mileage).
You must take into account that the car is brand new and that the fuel consumption varies a lot between city and highway traffic. On the highway I can get 5 litres per 100 km, but city driving gets it up to 7. When the car has its 20,000 km, the fuel consumption will reach its right level and it's gonna be more like 5 litres than 6 👍🏻.
So far so good. There is only one with the sound system, but that's a sedan problem. Also I think my right taillight got some condensation inside. Gotta check this again soon, because if it lets water in, I have to get it to the service centre and claim warranty. The rest however is still good. No squeaks, no errors, nothing 👍🏻.
We're going to get the 2.5 litre also very soon, it's already available for order, but it has only 140 hp. I think the e-Skyactiv X is like the gold standard to go for. Super fuel-efficient, has still a punch and the mild-hybrid controls the i-stop, which is great for preserving the 12 V battery.
I am from Germany and want to buy this car aswell for the exact same reasons. But i think i am going with automatic version and i want to find a good used one.
Danke für die Tour vom neue Mazda 3. Han sälber en Occasion Hatchback vo 2017 und s einzig Problem i dene 5 Jahr isch en defekte Rückspiegelmotor. Gueti Wahl würd jetzt au de Sedan näh. Grüß us Dübi.
Hey hey!
Thanks man! So far I have got 6.5 litres per 100 km after around 850 km of driving, which is roughly 36.2 mpg. It's basically combined with mostly city traffic and open roads, but barely any highway driving. On a highway I got even below 5 litres per 100 km, which is incredible for its size and power.
Hi, enjoy your new car. I am also in Europe and considering the same car with same engine. I would like to kindly ask you about ISA. The speed warnings with sound, people say there isn’t a way to disable that. Can you maybe make a video about that. And what do you think between Mazda 3 186ps vs Skoda Octavia Rs. I am really finding difficult to decide. Thanks for your reply.
Thanks for your comment Kerem. Since there is an update on the ISA, which I am going to get done soon, the sound is a lot calmer. You can disable the ISA with the press of a button, but you disable more ADAS functions with it and it's quite annoying. Also it resets when restarting the car, so you have to press it again so that it stops chiming. I despise VAG products as a whole and I might be biased here, but from a neutral point of view the Octavia RS is a lot more powerful and got a turbo, so in the lower rpm range it's more powerful, but I think overall reliability and the gearboxes in Mazda, both manual and automatic, are less troublesome. My best bet would be to go for a manual as the shifts feel really good and it's also more fuel saving. Hope this helps!
I just bought a blue entry-level 2024 Mazda 3 sedan. Before I forget: Don't drop the key fob on a hard surface; I accidentally dropped mine twice, and each time the cover came off. I have the Mazda because my 2005 beloved Corolla S was totaled. My new car has only the USB-C ports and no 12V outlet. Learning the "infotainment" system has so far been confusing and frustrating--steep learning curve. The Mazda's biggest downside as far as I'm concerned is the lack of a CD player, which I used all the time in my Corolla; I have dozens of CDs, and there's too much yakking on radio. The Mazda has plenty of pick-up, handles extremely well, and the driver's seat is more comfortable than the Corolla's was. I especially enjoy the back-up camera and safety warning systems; the Corolla had none of these. I haven't learned how to use the adaptive cruise control yet, but it is one feature I anticipate using; I live near the Wash D.C. Beltway, which has heavy traffic most of the time. I haven't checked to see if I have a spare tire yet, but the dealer said there is one. Some new cars these days don't have a spare.
That's great that you got the car, even as a base model it has quite a good equipment level. I have thankfully some key fob covers from AliExpress and they are terrific. Strange, I got a 12 V outlet in the centre armrest between the driver and front passenger. As for the CD player, how about you take the CDs and digitalise them? I have a lot of CDs too and I did that with putting my music onto a 1 TB flash drive. Let me tell you, that works really well and the quality is still high. Happy motoring!
@@VladsBoredom Thanks for your response. The sales rep tole me that the 12V socket is discontinued in the 2024 models. That is unfortunate, because I have a 12V tire inflator, as well as a 12V hand vac. I bought a USB=C to 12V adaptor, so I can run those and my GPS, but the adaptor stays “hot” when the engine is off; I have to disconnect it whenever I’m not using the services.
Danke dir mein Lieber! Mit dem gleichen meinst du auch die Limousine und nicht den Hatchback? Ich kann dir wirklich sagen nach knapp über 1000 km bin ich mit dem Auto sehr zufrieden 🙌🏻. Wie lange hast du deinen schon?
@@VladsBoredom Hallo, schon 3 Jahre.
Hey Timur. Yes it has an HUD. It is available as standard, so I think it should have it, but I never heard of the Preferred trim level. Where are you from?
I was wondering where you got that accent 'okay la', then I checked your channel. I was like 'oh he's been to Malaysia before' 😂 btw love the car and you got it in manual !? Wow, you'll be racing on the street 😆
I have to tell you it's not just me going to Malaysia, but also having an unhealthy obsession with it makes this matter even more interesting 😂. Yeah I must say it's a great whip and the manual transmission fits a lot better to the character of the whole car. Also the clutch is fairly light and forgiving, so it's easy to live with it when you got jam liao. Actually imho all cars until the C-segment should have manual options. A driving review will come soon. Stay tuned bro! 😎👍🏻
So far I've had no problems with speed bumps and potholes, but you will definitely feel them more compared to a Toyota Corolla as the suspension is firmer. The leather seats decrease the impact of bumps inside the cabin. However, I'm not sure if I'd ever lower the car as I think its ride height is just right.
manual, sedan, blue colour, You seem to be my type of guy, however I am on the fence about skyactive X. Doesn't save much fuel, but obviously I'd love the extra power. However don't know which one is more reliable and better long term. Cant justify the X cost just for a little extra power, since I dont even drive that much and if I do I drive slowly & efficiently however I havent had time to try the G either.
Hehe I'm glad to hear that. I think the e-Skyactiv X is totally worth the price jump. Over long distances and with the extra power which it has, believe me you can notice it with the lower end torque kicking in, it makes perfectly sense. For your profile it's also suitable, so it's mostly about whether you're into modifying it or not, since in that case the G is better due to more available parts etc.
i bought the same car, same engine, but with no electro/leather seats, no sunroof and no heated steering wheel. what is the consumption of the car after this time? thx!
Bună seara! Great choice, although I think the leather seats are more comfortable, you went for the only sensible spec to buy. Also the heated steering wheel is a bit overrated as it doesn't heat the whole wheel like my old Kia Soul, but just the centre section on the wheel between 10-8 and 2-4. Fuel consumption is now with around 7000 km on the clock at around 6 litres per 100 km with mixed driving. City traffic is okay, usually at 7 and motorway is at 6 if you're driving 130 km/h. Hope this helps frate!
Salutare prieteni!!! I drive my Mazda3 (2022 model) everyday 220km to work, In the morning i drive like 140-150km/h (with a lot of bracking and accelerations) and on coming back i drive 120-130km/h and for the 90.000km i have an average consumption of 6.3l. Once i had 4.7l/100km but I was driving 110km/h. @@VladsBoredom
Thank you for your review. I have a 2016 Kia Soul + bought it new after 4 attempts by the Kia Boys I have to get rid of it. 😢 I can't find a car I like or can afford.
Oh no that is really sad to hear 😕. Does it have a regular key and no immobiliser? I think on a loan this car is a really good deal, even if you go for a base model. Seeing the used car prices in the US, I'm even wondering whether it's actually worth it to buy a used car when their value retains so well? Stay strong and I hope you can find a good car which suits you better than the Kia Soul 🙏🏻.
That is unfortunately true. So far I haven't had any scratches on the instrument cluster, but it would be cheap to replace it anyway. Just be very careful when wiping it with a microfibre cloth and you'll be good. As for the piano black trim, I actually applied a protective foil on the door trim parts with the piano black, but the centre console is still covered in the same foil that I have since the purchase and I don't plan on removing it until I get an appointment to get it professionally done, as the pre-cut foil is of poor quality. If you buy the car brand new, emphasise very hard that you want to unwrap it, because you surely don't want to bother with scratched piano black plastics. Hope this helps!
You can buy accessory metal plates to cover those piano black areas. My Mazda is 3 years old and is not scratched. But I’m not touching it. Accessory cover is less than $30
This engine is a master piece, but very bad leg/head room on the rear seats and then this wonderful techic doesn't make a sense for buying it (in my case). This is the biggest construction and design mistake.
I agree on that one. It's not the most ideal family car and it's more suited to some people who aren't super tall. If you're around 180 cm, you're going to be fine as long as everyone is around that height or shorter. Mazda doesn't have rear legroom as their forte, but they are scoring elsewhere really well. For rear legroom, just go for a Toyota Camry. That car is very spacious 👍🏻.
@@VladsBoredom exactly. This M3 sedan is almost tecnically perfect. Just that small issue-but important is the rear space. X engines are the top. But sorry I would need to look for Scala,Leon or smth like that. I do not understand why japanese didn't make a small effort in this direction. Camry is the next class and bigger car, it is too big to be an universal player.
@@robiszi7932 It makes me sad that you have to look for a car from VAG. Yes they might be more suitable in terms of space, but they are inferior in terms of overall quality and refinement. If you'd like to enjoy something what's more unique but also spacious, you can try the Peugeot 308, that's a car I would have really liked if there was a fully specced manual too, but unfortunately there is none in Switzerland. Yes the Camry is big indeed and if you don't mind having an automatic and hybrid, I'd totally recommend you the Toyota Corolla Sedan or the Honda Civic. Both cars are more spacious than the Mazda 3 and they offer peace of mind together with some good suspension setup too.
@@VladsBoredom hey, Corolla Sedan is made in Turkey. So this is not an option. H.Civic has enough legroom but head space is also for eastern shorty people. P308 is a real crap, petrol engine 1.2 has a belt that 'flows' through the engine oil 🙆🏻♂️ and in that is the engeneering black hole mate, catastrophic. On the other hand,we still have Seat Ibiza 2007 type 6L1 bifuel LPG,it still runs like a clock, my wife would rather sell me then that car 🌞 A good Leon also should be unbreakable.
I've driven both and at the end of the day it depends on engine choice and personal preference. I prefer the manual as it's more fun to drive with its snappy shifter, has a traffic-friendly clutch and of course you have the control what gear you drive in. The automatic has a weird shift logic and isn't really responsive. Also it is less fuel-efficient, so it makes not much sense to buy it, even if it's supposed to be more comfortable, but I just didn't feel like I had the control when driving the car. Take note that this only counts for the Skyactiv-X engine. The Skyactiv-G might be different in that regard.
Thanks for asking! I'm sorry that I don't speak Spanish, but I hope TH-cam translates the comment well. Anyway, the car has really good driving dynamics and got more torque than other naturally aspirated cars. From 2500 rpm you feel it very well. Also the interior feels very premium and there are no strange noises coming out of the dashboard and door cards. The fuel consumption is also really good. I average between 6 and 6.5 l/100 km which is really good for a brand new car and certainly going to drop. Sporty driving is never higher than 8 l/100 km. Not to forget the manual gearbox is a lot better than the automatic. You're going to love it a lot brother! 🙌🏻
Hola !! Yo también te pido disculpas por no hablar inglés , pero el traductor ha hecho su trabajo y muy bien explicado por tu parte , seguro que el consumo te bajará , muchas gracias por tu respuesta y feliz año próximo 2024 😊
Yes, I test drove the 2.0 hybrid hatchback back in 2020 and it was a great car to drive. Hybrid with CVT is a great combo and the fuel consumption is lower, but I think it's better to have a good manual like the 3 has, because the Corolla isn't as much fun as the 3 to drive, even though the suspension setup is sportier and nore comfortable. The GVC+ and the leather seats make the drive in the 3 a breeze.
The Citroen C5X is a terrific car as well and I can understand why you weren't happy with the Mazda 6, it's not the most recent car out there and the 2.0 engine is quite weak. The Toyota Camry would have been a better buy, but the Citroen C5X is a car I even forgot that it exists. Great choice!
I mean, if I had a car from 2018 or 2019 it'd be fine, but unfortunately my previous one was from 2015 and an EV, so I just chose to get a new one since I don't see a car only as a mode of transport to get from point A to point B, but rather as a toy to have fun with and enjoy driving it as a daily and as a weekend car, a true multi purpose vehicle. Overall I gotta agree, the cars nowadays are overpriced and I got the least overpriced option myself, although cars should have become cheaper here due to the exchange rate as the Swiss Franc grew in value compared to the Euro and US-Dollar.
I have a 2023 CX-5 Turbo and i can tell you that the rotary dial is an absolute god send. Extremely easy to use, fast, responsive and you don’t have any smudges on the screen so it keeps everything clean. In my opinion it’s much less distracting and easier tu use than a touchscreen.
I second this and I think personally that the screen is anyway too far away from your driving position to actually tap on it. Actually there is a touchscreen on mine, but it works only with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. When you once use the rotary dial, trust me, you will think a touchscreen is too distracting when driving ☝🏻
I had a fair share of cars and I must say that fiddling on a screen is distracting, but less so with a rotary dial than with a touchscreen. The problem without having a touchscreen is when you can't type in an address in the sat-nav, but luckily this new 2024 Mazda 3 is equipped with one that works with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
That's literally a coincidence! What trim level did you go for and is yours also a manual? How happy are you with the G150? I didn't want that engine as I thought it's not powerful enough and not as fuel efficient like the X186.
@@VladsBoredom i got it in exclusive line and its manual also i dont like automatic cars. After 3 weeks and over 700 km i have around 7 liter fuel consumption moste in the city. Hey guys, I released a driving review of my Mazda 3 up here. I tested it on various roads and also showed some of the little upgrades I have applied onto it (including the new PPF) and giving my two cents about it. Enjoy!
Deep crystal blue is such a fitting color
I wholeheartedly agree. Could have imagined Platinum Quartz as well to be a good colour too 😎.
You got the best car in the World in my opinion. Absolutely beautiful, it will become a future collectors car for sure
Thanks for the probs man! I really love this car and I want to keep it in the bestest condition possible. 🙌🏻
I'll purchase Honda in the future. Mazda quality control is crap! Leather should not change color at all, let alone within the warranty period!

Congratulations on the new whip Vladimir 🎉❤ and an amazing review 👏
Thank you so much Omair! I'm so glad to have it and it literally feels like a dream coming true 🙌🏻❤.
well your Mazda 3 isn't the only one in Switzerland.

bro you fucking changed my perspective to mazda, i fucking love the interior 🙌🏻
It's definitely the most underrated car in the whole segment! The interior is absolutely divine. 🌟
We die the test drive with the hatchback together nice too hear That you bought it
Yeah back in 2020 when you came here we had the test drive and even then I was so in love with it.

You did the right thing & excellent choice
Thanks a lot mate! 🙌🏻
One of my friend have a soul red skysctiv X with AWD and manual. Also the red interior with all the options. Pretty nice car to drive
Yeah I own one, and it looks fantastic, with glossy ceramic coating and black alloys.
I gotta admit that your preferred combo would be also mine if it was for the hatchback. It's just the best value for money hatch you can buy. Sadly the red interior didn't exist for the sedan, there it's either black or white. Thanks man, much appreciated 🙏🏻.
Very beautiful car... I love it...nice
Thank you 😄
What a great car congrats 🎉🎉
Thanks a lot bro! 🙌🏻❤
I have the sedan in soul red, it's such a good car for the price, almost as good as ze germans lol
I wholeheartedly agree. It's almost as good as the Germans, but it costs much less than them. 😎
You’re convincing me. I’ve already started looking around, but I appreciate your enthusiasm for this model! Merci vielmal!

I some day wish to own a car like this..
Maybe in the near future you can get yourself one too 😎👍🏻
It's a fantastic car.
I am the first ! I’m very glad to see you, Vlad. Оn the topic of the video - beautiful cars.🎉
Thanks Galina, glad to see you commenting as the first person here! Yes this car is absolutely amazing and I'm so glad that it is truly mine. 🙏🏻🦄
$46k for Mazda 3. The very basic one in US is $25k. Well at least has all the bells and whistles
The rear suspension (SEB) is the deal-breaker for me. I wish they put Mazda 6 multilink rear suspension on new Mazda 3 :(
I can understand your point.
To tell you the truth it's not about the subscription of the person running this thing it's not the views it's the time that people watch the show
That`s the colour i would have chosen too...if the dealer hadn`t make me an incredible offer for a machine grey, which is also spectacular.
Machine grey is surely good for reselling the car, but if you're not too fussy about the exterior colour and get a great discount, sure why not?
Very nice! How does it feel on bumpy roads compared to a Focus/Golf? I heard it is stiff but still comfortable?
Hi Vlad, thank you. Soon I hope I can buy my 3 Sedan as well. Enjoy it!
What’s so different than a S sport compared and the S preferred? They all have same things the more I compare online
where you keep so manny mazdas
sedans are a dying breed!

I can't wait to hear from you when the car is finally here, mine came within 3 months and needed originally 5-6 months, which is for a car made in Japan super fast.

which do you personally prefer an suv or a sedan?
And if you had the money to get the cx 60 over the sedan would you do it or save that extra money and still settle with the sedan?
Or would you choose the cx5 or your current sedan
@@VladsBoredomyes that’s very helpful thank you very much for the detailed response.
gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah it really is 🤩
I'm kind of surprised the e-Skyactiv-X doesn't get better mileage.
How is your mazda going? any issues so far?

Excellent choice. I wonder what you will get for fuel mileage in the city/highway/combined.

The sedan is beautiful but the tail lights look boring compared to the hatch. Other than that stunning car.

@@VladsBoredom Hallo, schon 3 Jahre.
@@warummussdassein3792 Was?

Bro is your Mazda 3 has head-up display (HUD) ?
I waiting for my Mazda 3 AWD Preferred 2021 and wondering if it’s has that feature or not 🤷♂️
Hey Timur. Yes it has an HUD. It is available as standard, so I think it should have it, but I never heard of the Preferred trim level. Where are you from?
@@VladsBoredom I’m from Texas USA 🇺🇸
How is the ground clearance so far? Isn't too low for speed bumpers, potholes or let's say a country road?
So far I've had no problems with speed bumps and potholes, but you will definitely feel them more compared to a Toyota Corolla as the suspension is firmer. The leather seats decrease the impact of bumps inside the cabin. However, I'm not sure if I'd ever lower the car as I think its ride height is just right.
How tall are you? This will be a good measurement for back seat.
I mentioned it in the video. I'm 178 cm 😊
manual, sedan, blue colour,
You seem to be my type of guy, however I am on the fence about skyactive X.
It's a excellent car for the money and likely will be much more reliable than your other choice

Heard the black piano finish near the shifter scratches bigtime, plus the speedo cluster scratches easily. What are your thoughts?
Accessory cover is less than $30
All Speedo’s easily scratched. I learned to wipe gently with a damp microfiber cloth.
Magnifique !
Merci beaucoup! 🫶🏻
Is the manual better than automatic , i hear this frequently
I've driven both and at the end of the day it depends on engine choice and personal preference. I prefer the manual as it's more fun to drive with its snappy shifter, has a traffic-friendly clutch and of course you have the control what gear you drive in. The automatic has a weird shift logic and isn't really responsive. Also it is less fuel-efficient, so it makes not much sense to buy it, even if it's supposed to be more comfortable, but I just didn't feel like I had the control when driving the car. Take note that this only counts for the Skyactiv-X engine. The Skyactiv-G might be different in that regard.
En Enero llega el mio igualito en ceramic white ❤ 186 hp manual 😊
Wonderful! Let me know when you get it and tell me your first impressions. 🙌🏻😎
Hola , por cierto cuales son las tuyas ? ¿ empuja suficiente esos 186 hp sin turbo? Gracias amigo
Have you looked into the CVT of the Corolla?
Yes, I test drove the 2.0 hybrid hatchback back in 2020 and it was a great car to drive. Hybrid with CVT is a great combo and the fuel consumption is lower, but I think it's better to have a good manual like the 3 has, because the Corolla isn't as much fun as the 3 to drive, even though the suspension setup is sportier and nore comfortable. The GVC+ and the leather seats make the drive in the 3 a breeze.
@@VladsBoredom Fair enough. Also worht noting that the eCVT of the Corolla is not a belt and pulley CVT.
我已经外挂涡轮?I have added-on external turbo?Interesting T-shirt.
Yeah it's quite an unusual one. Got it from a friend who is also a TH-camr as a gift. It's part of his merch he sells.
how i wish i had the manual version too
The manual is indeed a huge pleasure to drive! Is it even available as a manual in your country's market? 🤔
It's a mazda mazda 3
Well, that's not entirely right either, it'd be the Mazda Mazda3, there's no space between the letter and number 🙃🤪.
Im not happy with my Mazda 6 2020 and now I get myself Citroen C5X
The Citroen C5X is a terrific car as well and I can understand why you weren't happy with the Mazda 6, it's not the most recent car out there and the 2.0 engine is quite weak. The Toyota Camry would have been a better buy, but the Citroen C5X is a car I even forgot that it exists. Great choice!
@@VladsBoredom yeh just too firm , road noise and wind noise just annoyed me but ride and handling just superb!
This car is so sexy
I wholeheartedly agree, it's very good looking!
Vehicles are ridiculous over priced these days. Keep your 2018. Not worth it for the new cars.
Quick pass on the 3 personally, that infotainment system with no touchscreen in late 2023 is a joke.........
Do you actually like car touch screeens? I also prefer the direction of a good quality rotary dial
