on cubase 11 my maschine used to start and stop cubase by using the maschine start/stop/record etc. But I upgraded to cubase 12 and I have to use Cubase transport buttons to start/stop/record. I'm not sure what changed if it's an option to make it do that or not.
How you liking the upgrade to 12?
I love it except for the issue with Maschine. I don't think it's that different from 11 but the few new features I heard about are awesome. My upgrade was free because I purchased 11 within the grace period they had for 12.

Thank you for the video 🙏I had a question - I use Cubase 11 Pro and make drum loops in Maschine 2, this tutorial shows how to take that loop and place it as an audio Track in Cubase (which is great), do you know how to take the loop from Maschine and place it in Cubase as a midi track? I want to create the loop and then work with it as midi in the DAW but can't find anything online that explains this. If you could help out it would be much appreciated!!
The same way you can drag in audio, you can also drag in Midi. There's an icon right next to the audio for dragging it in
@@GotBettaBeats Yes when I do this it then splits all of the instruments from my Maschine loop into separate midi tracks. Do you know if there's a way to have all the instruments under 1 track? All the separate midi tracks created are also not producing sound, probably an issue with the routing.

I agree setting up the routing is clunky af. I set it up years ago where I have a midi track for each group and the audio for the sounds are routed to their own channels in Cubase. I dont have to open Maschine any more very often because everything is handled in Cubase. It was such a ball ache I saved the project as a template.. Thankfully I haven't had to set up the routing again since that first time years ago.

Does the tail get added to the start of the loop if you use this method? That'd be my concern.
The tail is added to the end, but I just trim it to fit my loop section
what control surface do you use? I am going to make beats in Maschine and use Cubase 11 to mix and master. I am creating beat tapes for Bandcamp
I use the Faderport 8 right now, but I'll be upgrading to something with at least 16 faders

I'm using Cubase 8.5 Artist. I shouldn't have any issues setting up the same way right? I just pulled my DAW out of storage and realized it didn't install correctly. Now that I got it working, I'm gonna give it a try.

Bro...worked for me right away. I'm trippin right now. I started that routing process that's on TH-cam and that was a nightmare . nightmare!
thanks . the other way was too cumbersome. could not seprate tracks. now i just drag n drop. easy. stay safe..

I find its better to program the drums in Maschine as is and leave it there
