There’s something going on with your computer or your audio interface. I’ve never had a latency issue. I bought Maschine when it first came out, I’ve always used Mac’s and Motu interfaces.
@@juniorhunter7268 I second this. No issues with latency at all (only with really big projects). Weird that that is the biggest selling point from Paige
I just got my Maschine Mikro Mk2 back out recently after it had been packed away for a long time... for many reasons. Right after I got it about 10 years ago, I got overwhelmed with Maschine, as well as life... my youngest kid was born, some major life changes, etc.... and my old computer then didn't want to handle the software. I now am in a better spot to try to learn it again... and I have a better computer to use it with, so hopefully this winter I can learn to use it some. I am on 2.17.0 software, and I see there is a new recent version of the software, so I will have to look into upgrading. I want to use it to make some background beats and an intro track for my plan to make a youtube channel, and also for adding re-drum tracks to songs and making some "mashups" of sorts, for good songs that could use a bit of an energy boost to keep the vibe on the dance floor going when I'm doing parties and events... Hopefully this winter I can learn to use this thing... also plan to record some guitar over a few tracks that I make in Maschine. Cheers
Hi bro thank you for the review! Two questions... 1. Don't you think Maschine+ is too dear compared to the Maschine MK3? 2. How do you power it when on the go? Cheers man!!!
Seems more like a liking for the plus, not so much the differences between the 2 which i xane here for. Latency is down to your computer not the controller. 👍🏻
I can't believe people crying about spending 1400 on Maschine plus trust me it's a steal keep in mind back in 1990 I paid 2100.00 for a SP1200 then in 94 4500.00 for a mpc 3000 . I picked up Maschine plus a month ago and have no regrets .
Ive got a Maschine mk3 for 200 swiss bucks from a friend and im happy with it i think at this moment i dont need the plus version because i have a very good computer (ryzen 9 5900x 64gbRAM on 3200MHz) and do not want to use a standalone device. I think as soon as i will travel more again and i have more expirience with the mk3 the plus version will be perfect
So their is no difference between M+ and MK3 aside from M+ stand alone capabilities. Is their anything lost software wise using the M+ withba computer? Is the M+ and MK3 share the same functionality connected to a computer
I've seen people talking about not being able to go like 1 or 2 layers deep with folder structure with the +. Is this still the case or has that changed? I've wanted the + for a good while but just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Came here to read all the comments about your latency issues being from you audio interface and computer, not the machine. I see others are on the same page.
Just picked up the Maschine+ for $999 for Black Friday. I was seeing some hate for the Maschine+ yesterday on TH-cam and was second guessing my purchase. Thanks for posting this video!
Neither. All-in-one tech is not there, yet … they are all underpowered/spec’d and overpriced. If you’re used to working on a decent computer, you’ll be disappointed …
I don't have latency. Maybe your PC has other issues. Not sure don't know your specs. But my mk3 responds with no latency problems. My PC is old as hell 13yrs old.
The Roland VERSELAB MV-1 is my girlfriend. The Maschine Plus and MK3 are just my side pieces. The MPC LIVE is my old lady and the TASCAM 2488 NEO is my WIFE.
Your not comparing, your praising the Maschine Plus. You bought the Maschine Plus because you needed a sampler but you don`t say whether the Maschine MK3 samples or not. Redoooo.
I still trying to figure out what are the functionalities of both. Someone said the difference is one needs a computer. This video isn’t confirming or denying
latency issue's ... you should consider buying a better soundcard. I have a RME Fireface UC and latency is not really an issue. I can put in 100 synths (ok, not sure but you know) and it will work solid. But anyway, now you have got me from thinking to buy a second hand mikro mk3 (I have the old masschine MK1) to ok, perhaps I need the Maschine plus.
I don't have a basic computer. I have a fire breathing workstation with an i9 16 core CPU 10TB of SSDs and 256GB of RAM.
I've been in the fence about getting the plus, but you've convinced me. Im 100% getting this!
The biggest problem about the + is for the price point it should be 100% portable with a battery, true stand a lone. thanks for the video.

Seems like the problem you have is not fault of your MK3 but maybe your system. Try to lower the buffer size to something below 100
ASIO helps. Even without adjustment I get no latency.
Mac core audio

latency? Audio-interface!
Great video Paige. I'm undecided. Is there a way of using this to control CV gates on a synth, in the same way that the MPC One can do that?
Im using a 10 year old iMac and have zero issues

Does the Maschine Plus come loaded with anything

Thanks for that perspective it really paints a picture
because the minute u add your expansions it will slow down but dont have that problem with my mk3
Great video bro! I really like your view and perspective.
I have mk3. No latency. I drop sample on track within the program and chop it up on mk3

What do you think about the MPC akai professional 61 key. It also has the beat squares

to be honest do the same but neither one can use certain native vs cant work without being hooked to a computer

thanks P! very nice review

So what about the CPU issue
Now I am on the Mac book pro M1. I have not had the cpu issue but most of the Komplete software doesn't work.
Just picked up the Maschine+ for $999 for Black Friday. I was seeing some hate for the Maschine+ yesterday on TH-cam and was second guessing my purchase. Thanks for posting this video!
Dont worry maschine plus is not bad
Can you chop samples and make drums in stand-alone for no latency then switch to software to arrange it on the PC and add 3rd party plugin sounds?
Thanks for video
Instead of buying an extra Maschine+ you could have upgraded your PC ? to fix the latency and have a faster PC as well? :D
You're correct. I went the gas route. Beware of the new shining musicial thing with the pretty lights.
@@paigeandderson hahaha I can relate to that 😅
So now the real question is between MPC Live II and Maschine+ which is better all in one device?
Neither. All-in-one tech is not there, yet … they are all underpowered/spec’d and overpriced. If you’re used to working on a decent computer, you’ll be disappointed …
Sp404 mk2

its your computer not the mk3
No more Roland MV1? The Maschine is so muuuuuuch better. Do you sample the sounds from Roland or do you record it directly as you play?
The Roland VERSELAB MV-1 is my girlfriend. The Maschine Plus and MK3 are just my side pieces. The MPC LIVE is my old lady and the TASCAM 2488 NEO is my WIFE.
@@paigeandderson One of those is better than all of them, tried the Maschine?
Had the MV 1 now that akai added the vocal effects and new effects don’t need the verse lab but the sounds on that thing is great as first as synths
convinced me

Instead of a update they made you buy the + 🥴
Sell the mk 3
