    Thanks! I just jumped ship to Cubase Pro 13 last night - after 7 years with S1 - cross grade offer was only AUS$276 - I did a comparison and Cubase offers exactly what I need for my little home studio - very sad corporate greed has taken over same happened with Cakewalk which i used before S1 - seems Guitar companies like `Fender and Gibson need to stop acquiring `software companies and driving them into the ground - The S1 TH-cam channel - "The Future of Studio One Pro | PreSonus" has 1900+ comments and only 3 are positive - if they are losing 1900 customers like myself, someone on marketing will be without a job soon and ``S1 will go under like many other software companies - anyway - looking forward to some great Cubase content so I can get up to speed

    Sometimes something new can seem more up to par. It's really know better It's just new territory and intriguing for the moment. Like My Mom use to say: While the flavor last.😂 I use Studio One Pro 4 and Reason 12. And MPCs and all that as well. Been doing this before MPC 60,SP12/1200 AND all of that stuff was even around.😎 Listen no matter what Machine or Daw you get. All your going to get is what you put in. Especially Daws they all do the same thing with different eye candy(Instruments,plugins etc). I'm not saying don't try it out. You may like it better. But what I am saying is Pick your weapon of choice and Master it!!! And bring in any artillery you need to add on.( Waves,Softube,UA etc). Chasing different Daws/Samplers don't make you better. Developing your own sound,style and knowing your weapon of choice like the back of your hand will!!! 👊🏿💪🏾👍🏾💯✌🏽

    862 / 5,000 I have repeatedly tried to get certain functions in S1 that are Standard in Cubase Pro. But many things, such as the Cubase Control Room and the excellent mixer view in Cubase, with the flexible widening or narrowing of the individual track channels, are far superior compared to S1. I overall feel more secure with Cubase Pro as a mixer and producer. S1 falls behind inc ertain areas but is still an excellent DAW. However, almost no professional engineers work with Studio One. That is important , although not necessarily for musicians who just want to record something. Both are excellent and professional DAWs, but the fact is that S1 can no longer keep up.

      @@GotBettaBeats i've had to return to S1 for a period due a problem with cubase....my comment on 'the mixer sux'....is the scaling ,....the idea of only two widths,...ridiculously narrow....n' the normal 'narrow'....totally miss the needs of working in mixer view, or console view'....using maschine mk3 as i see you are....means studio one's slavishness to mackie control means the control (ironic that S1's control is limp)...is diminished to the max compared with cubase, where midi mapping (version 12 n' on) is dope squared......i hear ya as well on the media bay in studio one....

    I don't know about you all but the biggest turn off for me was the frequent crashes of cubase 12...to the point where I was so frustrated that I switched to Studio 1. And man!! I'm loving it, it rarely crashed...lags sometimes during heavy projects but that happens with most of the DAWs. Studio 1 definitely needs major improvements and not closer to Cubase head to head, but I'm sure it will catch up in the coming years. Let me know what you guys think; those of you who've used both of there great pieces of softwares.

    I pick Cubase over Studio One. Studio One is like a watered down version, but Cubase can certainly use some improvements. I hate the fact that you can't rearrange tracks from the Mixer. But it's not a deal breaker.

    Cubase 13 user and Studio One. Latest Cubase is a bit buggy. Studio One still have cool functions Cubase don't have like dropping multi vst instruments on one track etc. One thing about Cubase, the snapping in automation is far behind Studio One. The fact that you still have to open a fade editor if you want a curve in your fade is just so far behind S1 and Studio One's piano roll is much better and notes snap nice on grid and not so in Cubase. Also prefer how the marker track is in S1 .

When you shoulder the sampler, this is what I’ve been screaming on my videos about. But not sure if Presonus thinks like us. In fact I know they don’t. I love Studio One, but I always go back to Cubase I’m on 13 there’s a few extra clicks you have to do, but it’s worth it. You seem to be able to chuck more at Cubase. Personally myself it’s a bit slower, but it makes you think about your decisions more, I always seem to be more engaged in Cubase. What is daunting in the first place about Cubase is when you first open it fresh, but once you personalise it you realise you can change things to your liking.

      exactly, not "slower" but more focused when using C13 compared to S1 workflow. Steinberg always comes up with a great thing, but doesn't follow through, a typical example is articulation switching, which has been working kind of half-assed for many years. Come on, you're not telling the truth. First, the EQ: the pro EQ has eq, compression, gate, and limiter. You can make up your own mixed setup with other software and drag them over as a bundle. Studio One has a large meter, too. media Bay: That's a lie, it doesn't add anything to the loops you are listening to from there. It's dry, and you can have it play the samples when you click on it or set it to play only when you click on play. There is a volume setting on it. Your choice. Studio One has an export stems, mix down, and a mastering software. And going back to the loops. They have wet loops and dry loops. There is no DSP being used when listening to samples. I get it. If you prefer Cubase, that's fine. But to not show us on the Studio One software what you are talking about because it's a lie is just wrong. Enjoy Cubase and have fun. And by the way, you can pay for Studio One and own it for 399.99. Just like you can pay for Cubase 579.99. 😊

    • @GotBettaBeats
      @GotBettaBeats 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'll try to record a video showing you some of the things I'm explaining. Like studio one has a meter as a vst, but not fixed like Cubase. And the media Bay in studio One does add in the effects that are on the mix bus, I'm not sure if you can disable it but it didn't work for me.

    Cubase is easily the better DAW. PreSonus has had, generally, easily the better Marketing department. Steinberg leaning into the composition/scoring crowd actually hurt them because this can give the impression that the DAW is only for those within a certain market segment, when Cubase is actually [almost certainly] the best general purpose DAW on teh market. Digital Performer has this same issue, even though it's actually a fantastic Engineering DAW.
