- Alright everyone - bringing back a theme favorite. How much I spend in a week, this time living on a cruise ship!!! I show you guys every single penny I spent in a week. I learned a lot of lessons filming this, hahaha. Hope you enjoy!!

This was brilliant, Mel. I can relate - was a dancer myself on a cruise ship over 40 years ago. Sometimes all we’d want when in port was to go out and eat. Back in my day we ate with the passengers - we were staff and not crew. The food was incredible but we’d crave the more simple things. I can remember the amazing egg and chips in Valletta. Was worth the climb up millions of steps. They were fabulous times and watching your vlogs bring back so many happy memories. Thank you!

Budgeting can be such a challenge, but when you meet or exceed the goals you set in place each day/week/month, it's SO rewarding. And knowing YOU were the one who got you there. I just recently started seriously budgeting and it has come with its challenges, but it has also been so gratifying to stick to it, knowing future you will benefit. Loved this insight, especially being in cool European ports!

Mel, how many shows a week do you perform? Do you perform the same show throughout the contract, or rehearse new ones while on the ship?
It depends on the length of the cruise! Luckily, this contract, on average we do 4 shows within every 10 days or so. It's quite lush hahaha. We learn the 4 shows in our rehearsal period and then they send us on the ship and we do them for the 7 months onboard!
Do you get a daily fee to cover random incidental expenses that come up? Even on a Navy ship, you usually get a small daily fee somewhere around $3.50.
We don't, but I think other positions on the ship might that aren't fully covered by the ship. I think they're considered contractors.
