Rocky Seas, Vanuatu & Fiji, & Show Clips | Cruise Ship Performer Vlog
Hey ya'll! This vlog gives you a good glimpse of what a few days look like working on a cruise ship. We were in Vanuatu and Fiji here, and had tons of fun getting to see the Blue Lagoon and some cool waterfalls. We also performed two different shows in these few days and I bring you along to them, sharing some show clips along the way. Enjoy!

Luxury Cruise Line CREW (singer/dancer) CABIN TOUR! + ship tour
มุมมอง 584หลายเดือนก่อน
This video is extremely chaotic and not my usual style, but I hope you enjoy it, haha! This was filmed on our last day onboard my cruise ship that I worked as a singer/dancer on. We had no guests onboard because our ship was doing a month long repositioning. This is on a 6-star luxury cruise line, where the average price of a two week cruise is between $30,000-40,000. It's a gorgeous ship that ...

มุมมอง 372หลายเดือนก่อน
Here's a little vlog I did the week of Christmas. We went to Singapore which was amazing. We saw the famous Gardens by the Bay light show and had a ton of fun exploring. Christmas was stressful, so wait for the end of the video for that little recap, haha. Hope you enjoy!
Rehearsal Vlog - Getting Ready for a World Cruise (maybe?)
มุมมอง 534หลายเดือนก่อน
Here is a vlog I filmed back in October! We were in rehearsals in Tampa, FL and so excited for the journey that was ready to come. We had such a fun time in rehearsals, and got to stay in Florida for about six weeks in preparation for the contract. Also, I reference to my last video a few times where I gave updates about this contract, so make sure to watch that, too!

how I keep work/life balance as an actor!
มุมมอง 62711 หลายเดือนก่อน
There's been lots of conversations lately about how as actors, we are expected to be actors 100% of the time. I firmly believe that it's important to find balance, and to enjoy other things about life. Relaxing and enjoying things doesn't mean that you aren't as dedicated to your passions! I hope this video inspires some of you and helps you feel less stressed/guilty about taking time for yours...

There are so many things to be impressed with on this video, but I think what I'm most impressed with is the fact that you got your bangs up in the French braid👏👏👏

Love you vlogs Mel. Yeah I happened to get Covid too . And my work was like take a few days off . Had some sick time which was helpful. It’s confusing even 3 years later for me. Hope you were fine. ❤ and insurance ughh not fun lol
That was like a scary movie

Literally worst Christmas of all time!

They made you organize on CHRISTMAS?! That's awful.
We truly could have done it any other day 😅😅 quite cruel
Big BIG fan!!!!!
6:21 Do any new cast members ever get cut during the stateside rehearsal process? It sounds stressful and.possibly competitive given the short timeframe.
❤❤❤
I was more interested in the auditions, showing you dance and sing.
It's illegal to film in auditions, per Actors Equity Association. The only auditions I can share are self tapes, which also isn't recommended by casting to share those materials on social media unfortunately.
Proud of you for following your gut!!! That’s always the right decision 😊❤ looking forward to more of your vlogs
omg instant subscribe! thank you for your honesty! as a fellow actor who has been in nyc and in her late 20's, it's so necessary that you have to pivot but can still pursue this as the bills increase :')
Thank you for subscribing!! 🩷 and yes, it’s so true and I rarely see people openly discuss it and talk about the different choices we have to make in this career as we get older
What company is this with?
NCL!
❤❤❤
So happy to see you back...sad that things didn't work out entirely to plan, but excited to see where the next chapter take you!
Thank you so much :)
7:43 I’m so sorry your contract got cut short. How much notice did you have before getting cut?
I know :( It was rough. Luckily we had two months notice, so plenty of time to come to terms with it and make plans.
Yes!!! Welcome home! You have been missed, girl!
So great to see you back on TH-cam Mel! As a writer who has had to turn down some great opportunities in order to pursue their dream, I really relate to your recent dilemma. Really admire your strength in choosing to stay in NYC, can't wait to see all that you achieve,
Thank you!! I'm glad you relate, and seriously appreciate your support so much!
Welcome back! Thank you for sharing your journey. When I was a teen and a musical theater fan I didn’t know how much goes into it. Naively I thought you‘d just go from one show to the next LOL.
I think I thought the same thing, haha. It's a crazy industry! You truly never ever know when you're gonna work again.
So happy to see you back!! 💕💕
Nice to see you back! Fascinating story about your cruise ship experience (including the dark side) and I can’t wait to watch the rest of your NYC journey
Thank you!!
Yay!!! A new video!!!!
omg Mel!!!! we have missed you!!!!! <3 can't wait to watch this and catch up
I missed you guys too!!!
Well done, you! This industry is not for the weak and fortune favors the BOLD! That choice was your "test" and you trusted your gut. Atta girl!
Thank you!! It really was a test. I appreciate your support, it makes these tough decisions feel easier <3
Sooooo happy to see you on TH-cam again!!
Hey! I am currently finishing my musical theatre studies in Paris, and I enjoy very much watching your vlogs, listening to you advice, ans feeling connected with people around the world sharing the same passion. I wish you all the best for your comeback in NY!
I'm so glad you enjoy them!! I love feeling connected to people all over, too. Wishing you all the best now that you've finished your studies <3

Hope you're enjoying your cruise life! I've been rewatching your NYC vlogs and it feels like watching an old friend. Hope to see you back here soon!
miss your vlogs!!! <3 hope you're doing amazing
Such a neat perspective. I wish I would have had this kind of inside look and insight when I graduated from my BFA program (2013). I graduated and felt as if I was up a creek with no paddle. Zero knowledge of how to move to NY, how to transition, get started, you name it. Truly frustrating and ended up resulting in a career change for me. You’re doing good work, keep it up!
This is so well reasoned. Thank you! Very helpful to my decision.
Goodluck baby...
Playing catch up on your vlogs & I love this so much! Only actors who have pounded the pavement as a non-equity actor will get this excitement when you join the union!!!
Hope you are having a good holiday season. Miss your updates!
