    Personally i think the sedan is underrated. Everyone always talks about the hatchback but the sedan is lighter with better fuel efficiency, better rear visibility and still has a good amount of trunk space

    • @SaarlaneKretiin
      @SaarlaneKretiin หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      trunk space is imo overrated as a "need" for most people. when you need it, you really need it, ergo it is a better option to rent a van for a day or something similar. having space as a need when that extra space goes unutilized for 95% of the time is just silly.

      @TheDude50447 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      But it looks rather average for a sedan. Like your run of the mill BMW sedan which are everywhere. The hatchback is probably the best looking hatchback on the market.

    I have the 23’ Mazda3 in the Carbon Edition AWD, coming up to 15k miles and it’s been fantastic!! Previously came from a 23’ Nissan Altima SV which was bought back from the dealer (it was a terrible car) and this new Mazda has had no issues, no dumb gimmicks, no crazy technology and the engine is simple and familiar for me to work on myself I absolutely love it, reminds me of my old 2009 Scion TC is some way it’s weird

    I am disappointed that I didn’t go for this car when I was shopping for one. What pulled me away from this car was interior space, trunk size and fuel economy. The Honda Civic is better than the Mazda 3 in those Categories. However the Mazda 3 makes the Civic feel so cheap and low quality (I am comparing this with the 10th Gen Civic that I have)

      @@jmm1174 No, CX3 was removed for this generation, mazda 3 (sedan and hatch) and cx30 remain. Only the Mazda 3 sport (hatchback) 2.5L NA FWD comes in manual transmission.

      @@AJRV1-lc5wz I mentioned that. Where the mazda 3 beats it is I feel is initial quality and the interior quality. The 10th gen civic interior looks cheap compared to the Mazda. The 11th gen civic has a vastly improved interior but the Mazda 3 still feels of higher quality. I also believe that this time around the Mazda 3

    • @shinn43
      @shinn43 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@AJRV1-lc5wz I'll still argue mazda 3 has much better interior quality than the civic BUT significantly better space and driving dynamics. The 6 speed transmission in the mazda 3 needs to be updated when CVTs are driving more efficiently and is as reliable.

      I drove both, a 2.0 Civic and the 2.5NA BP Mazda3 AWD hatchback. 1.5t Civic had oil diluted problems. I settled for the Mazda3 AWD hatchback. The interior is a lot better. The wrapped dash and center console feels very premium for it's price. All Mazda3 hatch comes with leather shift and steering wheel. It's quieter, handles better (upgrade Pirelli P Zero AS UHP handles and rides like a different car), and has more torque. And with the Mazda3 AWD hatchback, the suspension and transmission is sports tuned compared to the sedan. With the Civic, I just felt so disconnected, especially with the CVT. The handling was confident inspiring. Maybe because I came from an e90 that I owned for 12 years, the Mazda3 felt more closer to it. I consider Mazda as a whole, the affordable Japanese "ultimate driving machine". Besides, everyone has a Honda Civic, while the Mazda3 hatchback is a smaller niche market.
      I'm in my early 40s, I feel that I fit more with the Mazda3 hatchback than I do with a Civic (a former brand new 2000 Civic Si). It's fun to hoon around in the back roads with usable power without being a danger to other drivers. AWD helps also for New England weather. 2022 consumers report ranked Mazda 3rd most reliable brand is a bonus and IIHS gave it a Top Safety Pick+.

    2019 Mazda3 AWD hatchback owner here with 24k miles on it. Love it. I'm in my early 40s, I've been driving BMWs for about 15 years before I switched to Mazda. Tired of the maintenance as BMW ages. Had my e90 for 12 years and the Mazda3 AWD hatchback with it's better suspension and transmission tuning compared to the FWD Mazda3 sedan is the closes to old school BMW driving dynamics.
    Ditch the OE Toyo that came with the 2019 for Pirelli P Zero AS+ UHP and it's a game changer. Maybe I'll get forged wheels to replace the very heavy factor wheels. 186hp-tq would benefit with some 18x8 18-19lbs forged Konig wheels vs 18x7 31lbs stock wheels. Weighed it on a bathroom scale myself. P Zero was 19 lbs (OE Toyo 22.5lbs), wheels 31 lbs. Whopping 50lbs per wheel. 53.5lbs with OE tires.

      I swapped from BMW to Mazda too. My Beamer died after just 83k miles, meticulously looked after.
      I was fed up with reliability, fixability and longevity issues with BMW. The timing chain issues with BMW E90 Beamers is appalling and not what you would associate with a "premium marque". Mazda I don't think I've heard a bad word said about them. Which to me means real quality.

    Manual is still available in Canada, but only the GT Sport FWD trim. I just bought one yesterday (only one in Ottawa otherwise I'd have to order it). Coming from a 2014 Mazda 3 (bought used 2 years ago, and also manual), the one thing I found a bit jarring was the clutch pedal feel; where the 2014 is stiff and you can feel the bite point very easily, the 2024's is super light and very difficult, for me at least, to judge the bite point. Now, I only drove the car for about 30 minutes or so during my test drive, so I'm hoping it gets better as I adjust when I pick it up next week. Overall though, I really like the upgraded feel I'm getting over the 2014.

    We don’t get the turbo in Sweden which is a damn shame.. Everything is about fuel efficiency here so we only get the 186hp mild hybrid as the most powerful version. Also, I think they should’ve included manual transmission in cars while we still can. Soon everyone will be driving electric and then there won’t be any manual transmissions. It’s unlike Mazda not to give the driving enthusiasts what they want.

    I have a 2023 hatchback turbo and I like its exterior and interior design, as well as good power and four-wheel drive. I have been using it for about half a year. Since I got it, I have found that its steering wheel is crooked. I went to three different Mazda dealerships to have the wheels aligned, but its steering wheel is still not straight. In addition, its biggest flaw is the poor build quality of interior materials. Its driver's seat has deformed rattles, dashboard trim has debonded rattles, B-pillar rattles, door panel rattles, and its interior is disappointingly like a can. Regarding mazda3 interior rattles, this is no secret, many reports can be found online, so if you have OCD, please buy with caution. I also have a 2023cx5. In comparison, the cx5 undoubtedly has very good build quality, which also explains why the cx5 is Mazda's best-selling model.

    When searching for a work vehicle I test drove this and also the Sentra SR and Civic Sport Touring. I really thought before driving any of them that this would be the car that went home with me, because I felt it looked the best and I had owned an MS3 and my wife had a Mazda 3 back in 2015… I couldn’t have been more disappointed, yes the exterior is sharp… but the handling was complete dog shit, the ass end felt floaty and completely uncomposed, and the interior was so boring with the all black everywhere, it felt like a rental car 😞 even the Sentra being the uglier car at least handled well. What did I end up buying? Civic Sport Touring. It kicked the shit out of the other two in every way shape and form, totally don’t regret my decision and the aftermarket is amazing for it! I’ve really made it my own and am 100% happy with my purchase. Mazda, bring back the MS3, Nissan, bring back the SE-R Spec V!!

    Still can't see out of it. That C pillar has got to be redone, looks ridiculous. Stretch it out like my 2013, which has more cargo room.
