This one's definitely Bailey coming out of the pain closet. Extremis. Jesus, whatever else is wrong, it must've been SO painful to lose her trade, her art, her ballet. Equivalent to Beethoven losing his hearing or V VG losing his sight or the use of his hands . Your passion and persistence are admirable, Bailey.
I'd actually say joy and love produce greater character than pain. You have to know good, before you can confront evil. Otherwise evil dashes you to pieces. Knowing suffering, you need those good moments to realize why to make others suffer less. That's not true. An artist's true best comes from joy, not sorrow. Most of my repertoire comes from joy, and teaching others what will create it. Hope is a more powerful tool than sorrow.
Love it. I think you need be next level crazy to be able to cut off your ear, all your normal senses and instincts would be fighting against it, the agony 😖 I really like that painting and I'd never thought of it like you explained, it makes it more special. I'm kinda drawn to people that are batshit tbh 😅 my best friend who passed had schizophrenia and said he could hear 7 different voices speaking to him, all with their own personalities 😅 the night he asked me if I wanted to speak to them was an umm experience 💀 and mad people are usually the funniest I think 😂 some of the best conversations I've ever had have been with people who are absolutely out of their minds.
You have popcorn ceiling like my apartment of 11 years i just lost 😭. Vincent Van Gough was Schizophrenic. Nothing like a ear to express your unending love for another. I have experienced being an inpatient in my life 😭 "Art is the highest form of hope"- You are wonderful Bailey. Your character wont easily be forgotten. 🙏
I would likely be the most vulnerable male person you would EVER meet. And my vulnerability isn't my weakness, my vulnerability is my strength. That's a twist. 🌪
Now I think I know What you tried to say to me And how you suffered for your sanity And how you tried to set them free They would not listen, they're not listening still Perhaps they never will - Don McLean “Vincent”
Do you think that most if not all greater Art works were channeled by celestial beings? Gone with the Wind was channeled, most Likely Led Zeppelin's great songs were channeled too. Picasso used mirror techniques that are also used in the anomalies on Mars. Da Vinci was channeled. Pieter de Hooch was channeled.

But can't there be wisdom in the insanity? And charisma, and genius too? And complete rationality, isn't that a form of insanity in itself. Michel Foucault thought mental health treatment was mostly about amputating the problem area, so to speak, whether that be through expulsion from the community, confinement in a straight jacket within the walls of an institution, or through 'therapies"such as drugs or socializing talk therapy the goal was to make the sufferer socially acceptable, to put the community at ease rather than to heal the individual in any meaningful sense. Starry night was the first art print I bought and framed. The story behind it resonated with me.

Look up ancient Macedonian art, from the BC era, something not a lot of people know. There's art for you.
It is a great painting but it is the cry for attention from an insane painter
