    1. Terminator 2: Judgement Day
    2. Total Recall
    3. Last Action Hero (Underrated movie)
    4. Predator

I just saw Arnold Schwarzenegger in "The Long Goodbye" from 1973. He played a hoodlum.
He's in two scenes, with no lines, and I didn't even realize it was him until the second scene where the crime boss has everyone in his office take off their clothes to prove a point to Elliot Gould.
    You read that correctly.

I have to agree though that Total Recall was a big boost for Arnold in achieving his Apex Mountain period within 1990 and 1991, with Terminator 2 being the big peak as being one of the last classic big summer blockbusters that still stand the test of time.
Caralco Pictures actually produced and distributed the two films back-to-back with Arnold’s business skills in getting the stories to the screen so this was their Apex Mountain as well, before crashing and filing for bankruptcy in 1995.

    Elle & Benedetta . . . .
Paul Verhoeven is still at the peak of his film-making craft, provocative & witty, masterfully ambiguous & subversive. Consistent brutality as well as heartfelt humanity. Few filmmakers are genuinely progressing the medium & art of the Cinematic Exploration to the degree that Verhoeven is today. Especially a man whose reaching a certain age where others may have retired or become satisfied with just coasting through safe & uninspired studio crowd pleasers, he has nothing to prove & such an impressive career to look back on, yet shows absolutely no signs of lost passion or creative drive.

i will say Total Recall is so big in its production and ideas, is film meant for Arnold.
it was so gargantuan that no matter if you were to remake it, it would feel small compared to this version.
And, the remake was even with it all of it's vfx!
Is it Arnold's very best? It is in its top 5
this film fits into the big persona which Arnold has. Even with T2 as big as it did, and as wild as Commando was, this film fit perfectly with Arnold's movie star status.
Total Recall is a sci fi film which had to go big to match it's star, where as compared to most where the stars had to go big to meet the scifi ideas

I stump people on the is it a dream or not argument every time with this. It can’t be a dream or the memories from recall because the movie has such things as external characters on screen talking and doing things without Douglas Quaid in the scene. If he’s dreaming or these are memories how are other characters interacting with each other without him involved. In order for this to be a dream he would have to be literally in every single scene participating. It makes no logical sense otherwise. If Quaid is dreaming then how is Richter and Cohagen talking in a completely different location conversing and planning without Quaid?

While they're shocked at the cost of production for Rambo, let's take account that they shot a lot of that on location in the jungles (obviously not Vietnam, but probably either somewhere in lower Mexico or the Philippines--I haven't looked up production on that-- that really runs up equipment/crew costs), they paid for Sly at his commercial apex, and they probably had to spend a lot shooting all the helicopter work with those Russian Mi's (or had to design the rigging to furbish copters that looked like Russian Mi's).

Bill Paxton would not have been a good choice to play the Recall salesman to Arnold? You said he needed to be a used car salesman-type? Guess what role he played to a T just a few years later to Arnold in True Lies????

I loved Total Recall, but it's nowhere near as good and T2 or Predator.

Better than T2, equal to Predator.

Terminator 2 is the best movie Arnold is in. But I gotta say the best Arnold movie(there is a difference) is Predator.
