I stopped this video went to my closet and put together an outfit of items that I have never worn; for a lecture I am attending this afternoon. It was so much fun and one of the pieces is a brocade blazer that my mother bought in the 50’s! You made me so happy with this video. Thank you! Oh and then I finished the video…
out of every youtuber+style influencer i feel that you are the most accessible, like i feel like these outfits look great without being things i could never find similar things to/already have in my closet. i wouldnt wear everything you post but you are one of the most creatively thinking and that helps me be more creative when im planning. ive even started digging out old vests and trying out more layering cause of you!
I did this every day this week. Challenged myself to wear a piece I had never worn before. It was fun. 4 pieces went back into the closet and one piece came out permanently for someone else to love.
I think you should pair the patterned mini skirt (10:13) with the jacket you were trying to layer earlier (9:19) and add the same orange boots from the previous outfit (9:14) to tie everything together. And then underneath could just be a simple button up white blouse since you already have two patterned items in your outfit, I hope this helps 😉
I really love recognizing pieces that you've worn in other videos! Its really inspiring me to be more creative with the clothes that I already own instead of constantly looking for that "if-i-buy-this-my-closet-and-life-will-be-perfect" item
i love the sheer balloon sleeve blouse, maybe it's my maximalist inclination but i think it would look really good over a long sleeve patterned turtleneck (colourful stripes or something if you get my drift (or even a dress??)). love the vid, love the style!
I loved the first trenchcoat outfit, so cool and modern. I like the grandma pastel green overcoat outfit too, but probably would pair it with a pair of white/grayish sneakers and white socks, to up the juxtaposition, with the ladylike, delicate overcoat and streetstyle footwear.
Love to see you style what’s already hanging out in the closet! One small ask: could you include a collage of the looks you styled at the end of the video? It’s a good reminder for me of what I liked about them. Thanks for the inspiration!
would love to see more on how to make dresses and skirts more casual with styling. i realized a lot that i buy and don't wear much if ever are things that i view as formal or less practical (love your vid about looking at those patterns in your wardrobe!) and i know dresses don't have to be formal or impractical but my brain just sees them that way. so i'd love examples of how to get past that and see the casual potential in fun dresses i own and theoretically love
I loved each outfit! A similar video idea I’d love to see from you (if you want to do it of course) is looking at outfits you still stand by and love that you made in the past (maybe for videos of just in general) and wearing them again! This could especially go for pieces you struggle to style but have styled in fun ways for videos! I think your TH-cam style would look great irl, if you’re comfortable trying that. Plus outfit repeating is cool, so no worries there.
8:30 The word for this is a pinafore: a dress that could technically be worn on its own, but is intended to be worn with something underneath it (often a button up blouse.) Pinafores were historically quite formal and thus worn in office settings (or as school uniforms haha.)
Buttoned for the second outfit! This was a fun one and had me thinking about a few pieces I never wear and how to make them work...might have to spend the day playing dress up now!
I love that first jacket with the flowers. I think it would also look really cute with a pair of red boots or the bright blue shirt you were wearing later in the video. The cute raincoat looks like it could work over almost anything.
I would love to see the top with the pink stripes (you painted some of them red) with the heart bag. Would be a subtle way to integrate pink into an outfit.
In regards to the housecoat…. There are events that happen around the US that are dedicated to Mrs. Roper from Three’s Company. I hope one happens near me in NJ because I will attend it.
Going through a spring closet cleanout -- this is great timing and inspiration! Yes please to neat n clean top button closure + neckline zipper closure on sheer white puff sleeve blouse + 3/4 sleeve beige trench -- gorge. Also the wool jumper look is fire!
omg imagine a video that is practical, insightful, specific, succinct, and inspiring just shows up on your for you page. it’s 2am for me rn and i have class at 8:30 tmrw but i just wanna go through my entire closet and make outfits. thanks for ruining my chance at sleep 🤩
the house gown is such a creative choice! I had never seen this idea done. I think I would try to pair it with earth tones on other clothes making it a only one cool contrasting piece. Not to dark earth tones though :)
I love that dress over the longer black skirt and the boots! I hope you'll be posting videos next month even though you won't be buying clothes. I love your channel.
Oh my goodness you have a print mini-skirt!!! How fun! It would look so cute with your graphic tees and your new white cardigan! Also I can totally see it with your white polo!!! Such a cute item!!! Also it goes sooo well with your pink purse!!!! 🖤🖤🖤
Loved the double trench coat outfit! As for myself, I have more modest styling goals, like finding one trench coat in the whole wide world that doesn't make me look like Columbo.
I would wear the housecoat as a dress with that cardigan from the end that has all the colors including that green and if the dress doesnt fasten all the way down i would add safety pins or buttons or ribbons or something so you can wear it as a dress
For that first outfit, I’m a sucker for scarves and ribbons, so I probably would have tied a little blue ribbon/satin scarf at the neck under the collar
The 2 coats outfit awesome awesome! That should be in your constant wear cycle! By far one of your best looks! This was a great video to remember to wear the unworn inside every closet!!!! ❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜😂💜
This gave me a whole new inspiration to go through all the items I feel bad for not wearing... I'm also on a no-buy atm -- but I might still end up with some new cool outfits! Also, I wonder if the designed jacket with the 3/4 sleeves could feel a bit more practical if just wearing something with long sleeves under it? Though it wouldn't be as protective as the sleeves from the other, longer jacket.
give a try to wear your trench coat with some turtleneck or sweater, maybe colourful/printed or sporty (striped), but it has to be with a long sleeves. I think it has to be very casual but playful. Some pants or jeans at the bottom. And about wool dress - wearing it with some blouse with a beautiful collar as it is (without layering) will be much better I think. Still in your style but with a holiday vibe
Hey, thanks so much, LOVE your fits, but could you maybe walk us through the process of deciding which pieces to combine and with what criteria etc (I know it's probably mostly instinct but just wondering) (fashion/fit-building beginner here 🙋) thanks so much for your content, discovered your channel just a few days ago ♥️
I loved this video! Been loving all your videos though. ☺️ Can’t wait to go into my closet to style the pieces I don’t wear or look at much. P.s. the first three outfits were my favs. P.p.s. I loved the sheer top buttoned up at the top rather than open 💖
I love this! It’s fascinating… because it’s unfamiliar. There’s nothing in my closet that gets ignored… one of the perks of a capsule, I guess. 😅 If anything my issue is coming up with new combinations of pieces.
The 2nd to last item -- the housecoat -- is indeed a 1950s or 60s robe, probably sold as a set with a matching nightie. I think I'm probably the same age as your mom, and I have the same cognitive dissonance that she does when I see it. It's a puzzle to style because it wasn't meant to be outerwear -- it's too flimsy to work well as a jacket.
1. Animal crossing vibes 2. New York street style vibes 3. Utilitarian dystopian vibes 4. Totally different animal crossing vibes 5. Cool witchy teacher vibes 6. Quirky collegiate vibes 7. Studio Ghibli character on an extended solo summer vacation in a foreign country vibes 8. Older artsy sister of your childhood best friend that way low-key intimidating but also kinda your first crush vibes I said what I said
Ever consider dying that light green housecoat? I'm like you and don't love pastels, but I think that housecoat would look awesome if it was a darker or more vibrant color!!
With the 'grandma pyjamas' what if you buttoned it all the way and wore it as a dress underneath that longer brown coat you wore in the video? You could also add all of your amazing accessories, cross body bags and beep world touches to make it amazing!! Btw every single video you put out is gold, I can see your artistic mind in every outfit! 🧡🐦🌷😊
I liked your mini skirt, but maybe pair it with the sheer blouse and a crop top under it? Im enjoying your fashion show. I watched the one where votes made your outfits. That was fun too! Thanks!

That sounds like an amazing outfit ✨
Hopefully you enjoy your lecture while looking absolutely fabulous 🤩
@@fallaciousjinx Thank you and I do hope your screen name means you love Jinx Moonson!
I love that you tried this!!
I LOVE THAT SO MUCH
i looked through my closet and realized...i have like 25 clothes. i've worn it all 😭😭
out of every youtuber+style influencer i feel that you are the most accessible, like i feel like these outfits look great without being things i could never find similar things to/already have in my closet. i wouldnt wear everything you post but you are one of the most creatively thinking and that helps me be more creative when im planning. ive even started digging out old vests and trying out more layering cause of you!
Agree! She’s amazing… quirky items at an attainable price point for most of us, I think. ❤
The dark "teacher" outfit with the red boots is EVERYTHING. It looks so awesome.
Thank you for once again inspiring me to dive into my closet.
I love the second outfit with the blouse buttoned! And the first jacket is my thrifting goals
The outfit with the sheer shirt was amazing!!!! Preferred buttoned up but still eye catching and cute!!!
The sheer blouse with a girly dress layered underneath would slay

The first jacket is soooo cool! For a Wes Anderson movie character's statement piece ❤
the sheer poofy white blouse in the second outfit is gorgeous!! i like it better buttoned up 🤍
With the black wool dress, I think the cowboy jacket is an absolute YES with those boots!
I think a white blouse, or not something so heavy under the wool dress, which is fab!
I actually did this for my mom and her stuff. She really appreciated it cause she has a hard time putting outfits together
I like the shear top buttoned. I think I would try the mini skirt over a longer skirt or even some pants.
Yes!!! Love this idea!!
Love to see you style what’s already hanging out in the closet! One small ask: could you include a collage of the looks you styled at the end of the video? It’s a good reminder for me of what I liked about them. Thanks for the inspiration!
the second outfit SLAYS! and yes much better buttoned

The sheer white outfit with blue skirt was awesome, love ur style
Feeling inspired to knit a version of your patchwork cardigan. Love the chartreuse in that color palette

Buttoned for the second outfit! This was a fun one and had me thinking about a few pieces I never wear and how to make them work...might have to spend the day playing dress up now!
I’m obsessed with vintage housecoats but have no idea how to style them. More videos on those, please!
I love that first jacket with the flowers. I think it would also look really cute with a pair of red boots or the bright blue shirt you were wearing later in the video. The cute raincoat looks like it could work over almost anything.
YES! Plan for every element of the weather and activity for creating the best outfit. I do this too !!!
The pink bag goes soooo well with those orangey brown pants, I'm in love with this color combo 😍
I would love to see the top with the pink stripes (you painted some of them red) with the heart bag. Would be a subtle way to integrate pink into an outfit.

I love the first outfit and the last one with the checkered cardigan. That cardigan has become one of my favorite pieces you have!
thank you!! & it's one of my faves too haha I love it sm

the double trench was stunning!!
I love that dress over the longer black skirt and the boots! I hope you'll be posting videos next month even though you won't be buying clothes. I love your channel.
thank you!! & yes absolutely haha don't worry! I try not to revolve my channel or style around shopping, even if it's secondhand
I absolutely love the two trench coat outfits and the one with the jumper dress! Your use of layering is always so cool!
Oh my goodness you have a print mini-skirt!!! How fun! It would look so cute with your graphic tees and your new white cardigan! Also I can totally see it with your white polo!!! Such a cute item!!! Also it goes sooo well with your pink purse!!!! 🖤🖤🖤
Honestly some of these are my favorite outfits I've seen you put together. The pink miniskirt one and the the sheer poofy top one are both SO cool.
for the pink and brown bag - I think you can also lean into a napoleon ice cream color sceme. That might be another idea to use
sheer blouse buttoned definitely!
That patchwork sweater is raddd
The puffy sleeve blouse is giving Bella Baxter 💛💙
Loved the double trench coat outfit! As for myself, I have more modest styling goals, like finding one trench coat in the whole wide world that doesn't make me look like Columbo.
I would wear the housecoat as a dress with that cardigan from the end that has all the colors including that green and if the dress doesnt fasten all the way down i would add safety pins or buttons or ribbons or something so you can wear it as a dress
I absolutely love the second and third outfit! And I would do anything to have that khaki coat at home too, such a stylish piece!
For that first outfit, I’m a sucker for scarves and ribbons, so I probably would have tied a little blue ribbon/satin scarf at the neck under the collar
Buttoned up with the sheer top! And I love the look of it over the tee! 🤩
The gasped I gusped at the first jacket - obsessed
love this video! definitely prefer the sheer top buttoned at the collar. the shape is just so good! the first 3 outfits were probably my favorite :)
Love the outfits with the coat with motifs outfit with the poufy sleeved top.
this video came at such good timing. i’m in my own personal style crisis, thanks for these ideas!!
Yay, I always look forward to your videos ❤
The 2 coats outfit awesome awesome! That should be in your constant wear cycle! By far one of your best looks!
This was a great video to remember to wear the unworn inside every closet!!!!
❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜😂💜
I already wore those 2 coats layered together today, I'm so in love with the combo!!!
so glad you enjoyed the video:)

Convinced you’re the coolest person. Every outfit SLAYS.
14:14 "casual beachy" -> HAMA KEI! one of my fave aesthetics ^_^
I love the balloon white shirt buttoned!!😄
girl I love your shoes
I totally need to do that too.
give a try to wear your trench coat with some turtleneck or sweater, maybe colourful/printed or sporty (striped), but it has to be with a long sleeves. I think it has to be very casual but playful. Some pants or jeans at the bottom.

The first jacket is everythingggg!
I do love your channel, always such good vibes here!
I LOVE these outfits! Running to my closet asap to style pieces I never wear.
That sucks that your bag got holes in it! Next time you do an upcycle/DIY video you could put patches on it, or try some visible mending like sashiko!
That's exactly what I was planning on!!
Loved that second outfit! 100% buttoned
everytime you say "on the bottom" it reminds me of that one abby lee miller clip "ON THE BOTTOM- PAIGE"
maybe style a vest over the granny night gown! i could see a vest over it and jeans kind of like the skirt over trend
the second outfit >>>>
I loved this video! Been loving all your videos though. ☺️ Can’t wait to go into my closet to style the pieces I don’t wear or look at much. P.s. the first three outfits were my favs. P.p.s. I loved the sheer top buttoned up at the top rather than open 💖
It seems so fun to see you do this, I feel motivated now bc I admit I wasted money on clothes I don’t wear :)
That beige jacket look would go so hard with red tights to mirror the peek of color from the top
the Mitski baby tee! ugh so good
Well well, if it isn't the return of the red patterned miniskirt! Always a fan of that one~
she's a classic!! It was so fun to style it again
the first jacket is soooo cute omg!!
I love this! It’s fascinating… because it’s unfamiliar. There’s nothing in my closet that gets ignored… one of the perks of a capsule, I guess. 😅 If anything my issue is coming up with new combinations of pieces.
loved this!!! you’re so stylish
Ahhhh i love the pink bag! I thrifted a black bag by the same brand!!! I can tell by the hardware (:
you honestly slayed all these fits!

You really inspire me!!
The first jacket 🔥😱

also i’m team top buttons for that fit but it also looked cute open!!
and the double coat fit???? ICONIC, you ateeee this video omg
The green housecoat needs a new home….or a dye job.
Second outfit with the shirt buttoned🎉
liz every single outfit was a SLAY omg i’m sick
All of them were nice.
Iv been shopping my closet lately
Not sure this helps me not want new things tho. So many cute things!
Please put the poufy sleeved blouse under the woollen dress!
Would love to see another “tackling your thrift flip pile” video sometime soon :-)
2nd outfit, button done up 💕👍
The wool dress outfit !!!!!!!!
Ever consider dying that light green housecoat? I'm like you and don't love pastels, but I think that housecoat would look awesome if it was a darker or more vibrant color!!
I live for shopping your own wardrobe videos!
With the 'grandma pyjamas' what if you buttoned it all the way and wore it as a dress underneath that longer brown coat you wore in the video? You could also add all of your amazing accessories, cross body bags and beep world touches to make it amazing!!

I liked your mini skirt, but maybe pair it with the sheer blouse and a crop top under it? Im enjoying your fashion show. I watched the one where votes made your outfits. That was fun too! Thanks!
I would have added a brown belt around the waist of the granny petty coat and carried a small brown bag on my arm and the necklace.
Maybe if you dye the housecoat you would get more wear out of it?
Button the sheer white shirt 💘
Very fun and inspiring. Thanks.
