While hunting for shiny Nidorino and Nidorina and stubble upon a insane 1% shiny Chansey after 11,372 random encounters!!! This was my first ever 1% encounter rate shiny and i was super hyped!

On gen 2 i catched a random shiny Spearow in the official gold game using my GBA in year 2006 and i catched a shiny Pidgey in end 2020 (on emulator PC for him not like Spearow).
I must to precise that i didn't knew about shiny Pokemons in nature and wasn't a "shinyhunter" when i found that Spearow randomly back in time, even if i knew about red Gyarados, i just thought that Gyarados was unique and made just for the occasion, fortunately i usually had nice amount ultra balls with me and spearow was easy to catch so i got him without hitting him once !
What an unique feeling to see a shiny random tho', a Chansey is honestly a gift from the sky, well done.
