@jazzthatshiny I just need to figure out how capture cards work and I'll upload some content. I only have a GBA sp and a gaming pc though, I sold my 3ds with VC a few years back :( which is probably the most optimal way to upload content
Massive congrats on the shiny Sneasel! Such an incredible pokemon and definitely one of the best shinies in gen 2, or any generation for that matter. To see it so fast is absolutely unreal! I'm just over 11k into my first phase of a hunt for the 10% Sneasel outside of Silver Cave in gold, and this video is making me put down Legends for the night to pick the Sneasel back up!
I just got my shiny Ho Oh on gold last night watching your smeargle hunt. Original gen 2 is just so nostalgic to me. I’m trying to convince myself to go for shiny mareep now(ampharos is one of my top few non legendary pokemon. And I have my crystal version set up to try for celebi but the resets take awhile lol

What is meant by a “phase” in shiny hunting? Does that mean you went over odds twice?
It means you found a shiny of a different species than your target.
