I’ve learned that if you want to buy from a company that doesn’t drop ship chairs, be ready to spend $900+. And if you think OMG HERMAN MILLER IS THE WAY TO GO…the aeron costs them like $150 to make and they sell for $1800. So yeah…
I found that you can tighten the arm width adjustment by tightening the two screws/bolts underneath the armrest pads (access for the bottom) using a hex key. I've been using the Kinn/Ergochair Pro+/Reya chair for over a year and have not much of an issue with loose arm rests in forever.

The chair by sight doesn’t look like a chair I would be happy with. I’m not a fan of stiff chairs for the computer. It’s a place I go to relax and play games, watch movies and such. The desk is beautiful and I do like standing option that goes with it. The one thing I would add is a 30” sliding keyboard and mouse tray. That would make it a perfect straight forward desk for gaming and media computer enthusiast. Cool subject matter for the video. Great job explaining them both.
It's weird what Autonomous did with that chair. When it first came out, it was called the "kinn" chair and it was 400 bucks. That seems more like what that chair is worth. They didn't change anything but the name and upped the price 300 bucks. I will say that I have the smart desk 2 and I love it. It's been great.

I have an Aeron, looking into the Embody, probly not gonna spend 1200 for a HM Nevi desk, expecially because i want to choose a very deep tabletop. My main doubt was how low can these desks get? I dont want the armrests not to be aligned with the desk, and i sit in the Aeron at the lowest setting. THX

Haha great eye. So I had this mesh thing already and decided to repurpose it as a cable holder - think of it like a giant pouch. I tried to find something comparable, but can only see this super overpriced thing amzn.to/2UKV3Bv. Then, I just used these cable hiders amzn.to/3kOmVzm with these cable tie down clips - amzn.to/36Z6Tui The only real problem is that a lot of this isn't paint friendly...so i expect to lose a lot of paint later, but i have a can of paint left over so can easily patch it up. Also, I had to leave a lot of slack out of the main power strip so it could extend from top to bottom which is why it doesnt look super clean, but compared to what it was before, I am totally good with it!

The biggest con is that it creaks like old floorboards. Sure this chair is a stunner. It looks great. It's even fairly comfortable - not nearly as much as the marketing would have you believe but passable. It's just... Weirdly loud. Any movement at all and there's this loud creaking. Lean back? It's like you're relaxing on a ghost ship. Come back up? Is that a rickety bridge about to collapse? Barely shift in your seat? It's your own horror movie and guess who's at the door! All of this was tolerable considering how great this chair looks; until I started working from home. Every call. Every client. "What was THAT??" You know who doesn't care how nice your chair looks? Any of the dozen callers I talk to every day. I REALLY wish I'd returned the chair within the return window. Back when it was just me, the creaks, and my imagination. I finally just pushed the it to another side of the room. Such a waste.

I don’t think they rebranded someone else’s chair, I think it’s more like a factory makes a chair, and then brands can buy/brand it as they see fit. From what I know, companies can request changes from the factory default (aesthetic to functional), and then the difference between buying the chair from one company vs another would be the level of customer service/warranty. No different than buying a USB cables or phone cases.

I don’t think that I would go with the Kinn chair. I have the Logitech Embody chair and I don’t see a need to change the chair. I will however collect more HM chairs though. Dan! I would love to see some videos on the Cosm or the Setu chair. They are the next two chairs I would want to buy. Thanks.

I do not understand why would people need flexing in chair. You sit in one position and if u are fancy, you cross legg or something. But at that point you abadon any idea of eronomic. I think its there because the back rest is tall, i.e. above your shoulders and they would like to avoid the tall back pushing your shoulders I think. I have one this chair with tall back and its exactly what its doing, pushing my shoulders forward. On top of it, its concave.
That's a good question - the flex is subtle and it helps a bit with comfort. You said you liked the Aeron in your other comment. Well the Aeron being mesh, it flexes and contorts to your back. Fabric contorts too, but often times, they use a foam which doesn't contort as well and can cause soreness. The flexing of the chair when you stretch isn't necessary, but what's cool is that when you sit with the seat straight up, it actually has some give without the chair leaning back, which might work better for some people's necks (so you're not turtle necking as hard)
@@Ahnestly Good point, when I tried the Embody I felt that give is either reallly subtle, that I did not notice it, or I had to really push with my back (which I felt like that would be bad for me). I wish Aeron had normal sit pan. Even now I write this comment with one leg beneath my ass and other banded intron of me. Call me crazy, but in this position my hand stops hurting, the moment i sit "straight", my hand starts burning. Thats one reason i am looking for a better chair among other things.

If you want to save yourself some money on a sit-stand desk, the Monoprice desk is a good value. I’ve had it for nearly 6 months and it’s been great.

I believe I put that in the video in the max/min height section! I show what that looks like with me being 5'6 Min is 26" max is 51.6"
