Any help on what’s can possibly be wrong with my car so basically today my Altima gas pedal got stuck luckily I wasn’t going as fast I had time to stop the car and shut it off, but man I panicked now I don’t trust it.. I’m going to see a mechanic some time this week but want to know if you can help me out
My brakes weren’t working I tried to stop but my pedal was stuck and going... I put my car in neutral, then parked I turned it off while being turned off I pushed the pedal and it went back into normal. my rpm went back down and the pedal went back to normal .. anyways I’m glad I didn’t hit anything and I’m safe..

I've taken car to auto Zone to plug in OBD scanner but doesn't work at all / total blank . The reason I want to diagnose it because over the last year or so , a few times car died or loses power once running . A few days ago while dropping off a friend it was accelerating normally then loses power very erratically . Then right after dropping off friend , it started to work fine very normally and since then no problem . Thinking it's the fuse of OBD scanner port but they look good .
The problem was that I was losing rev power after starting and I took it to a mechanic and he diagnosed it as throttle control unit needed to be replaced. Not sure if he plugged it in to OBD and got it to work. Sorry that's all I have on it.
@@funknastypimp mine was a lil confusing in parts listing both at auto zone and O'Reilly in that had just the sensor by itself which wasn't like mine at all. So I got printed out pic of it went looking for it didn't find it because it wasn't like that. It was a self contained one unit which had both sensor and the valve unit. It was all one piece.
My car just randomly had the service engine light come up and the next day the rpm would drop when I was stuck on the interstate and they got so low the car was about to die so I had to keep my foot on the pedal and break from dieing, did you have any of these problems?
I know this video is old probably don't check But I have a 06 Sentra 1.8 and have a hard start after warm already change spark plugs and clean injection would this work? Miles are 65k
Could be alot of things, get the codes checked see if any sensors are out, I hear the cam position sensor causes hard starts, but a bad timing chain could also cause hard starts but all the time even if cold? I'm not really sure either but get a good reputable mechanic who's not gonna screw u over and you should be able to get it resolved, 1.8s are really good engine's they just have shitty sensors
@@user-qh8vl9ew3r thanks for the reply the only code I have is p0448 I had gotten control valve changed but still has engine light the hard start always happens after warm on cold start it fires up but after drive to the store for 30 min or so it takes two key turns to turn on it virbrate then crank then it starts up ... I found this tuner that works on Nissan. Ima see if he does test and see results
@@christianlynch5507 yea I clean the throttle body it wasn't dirty but didn't fix it so I took it to a tuner for a second idea and he changed my fuel pump the whole assembly with ring Nissan part and it fire up did it yesterday so far so good

Sorry but I would have to lean on an expert mechanic for that kind of issue. I have expertise in that area.

I am not sure about a fuse for OBD. This could be a power issue. Starving for power can cause some weird things like this.
Did you diagnose your problem because I think I might be having the same issue

This is easy to do but not sure if it would fix your issue. Might need a pro for that one.
