Watching this video did help a lot cleaning the throttle body on my 2014 altima . The two hoses attached to the throttle body are coolant hoses. I didn't realize this at the time. I did not use the relearn instructions because it seems like the computer corrected itself.

U would think that someone wants people to take their car to the dealer. What a crazy way to discourage people from working on their car. I have two scan tools that r supposed to do the relearn. And they didn’t work on a 2000 V-6 Altima. I finally gave up. But I am encouraged by your video. Thank u!! I have one I am working on right now. Yikes!!

Dude! In applications like this, a steam machine does wonders with half the effort. After spraying that throttle cleaner on, point that steamer nozzle onto the dirty area and watch gunk dissolve. Re spray throttle again and let dry. Good as new!

    Relearn
Turn ignition switch ON for 2 seconds
Turn ignition switch OFF for 10 seconds
Turn ignition switch ON for 2 seconds
Turn ignition switch OFF for 10 seconds
Make sure gas pedal is released
Turn ignition switch ON and OFF
Wait 10 seconds for throttle body to make noise
Let car run for 30 seconds to make sure car is still warm
    Idle air relearn
Turn car off and wait 10 seconds
Make sure gas pedal is fully released
Turn ignition switch ON and wait 3 seconds
Push gas pedal 5x in 5 seconds
Wait 7 seconds and HOLD gas pedal in 20 seconds until CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STOPS BLINKING and is SOLID
Once CHECK ENGINE LIGHT is SOLID turn car within 3 seconds
Turn car on to IDLE for 20 seconds

    • @TrickShiftGarage

Code P2119 looks like a bad throttle control actuator. It could be carbon build up preventing it from opening and closing properly. I'd clean it up first and see if that fixes the issue. • @TrickShiftGarage
      @TrickShiftGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

Probably not as the throttle body is down stream from the Mass Air Flow sensor. I'd go the other direction and check your air filter, if it's really dirty or clogged up it could be the root cause and replacing it should fix it. If that isn't the case make sure there are no air leaks in the intake system, check all over for any air that could be entering. Check the electrical wiring and connectors too. If that looks good then clean the MAF sensor with some MAF sensor cleaner. And finally if that doesn't work replace the sensor 😉

If it says 30 miles and you’re going a steady pace or even downhill the number with go up a little bit since at that very moment you’re using less gas. @@MRSTACKZ10 YOu can Eliminate it. Or just unplug the wire going to it. It will no longer open at certain rpms . Your entire engine will thank you :)
