Hi, thanks for watching, and sorry for the late reply. No, the throttle body can't affect the alternator voltage and system. But it can cause the rough idle which then causes an irregular alternator voltage.
Hi and thanks for watching! No, you don't but it mostly depends on the type of throttle body. If it opens using just a cable, then press the gas pedal or rotate the control lever on the throttle body and it will open. Do not try this method on a nissan unless you want youre day ruined. Disconnect the battery, remove and clean the throttle body and re learn the throttle body.
Hi, thanks for watching and for sharing your knowledge and experience. What you've explained is the right way to do it but the point of the video is to show a quick alternative, especially to people who have less knowledge and experience around mechanics. Since the procedure shows results in the majority of cases (at least from personal experience), it's certainly worth the try this way.
Hi and thanks for watching! You're right, this video is meant to show the easier option for less experienced people. More of a first aid measure but nevertheless effective
Everybody I read on TH-cam with electronic throttle body says you turn that ignition on and have someone press the Gas pedal In fact you said it but didn't DO IT what's with that
Hi, and thanks for watching! In case of the Skoda, the butterfly valve on the throttle body turns only when you press the gas pedal while the engine is running. A bit inconvenient for cleaning. So, cleaning is only possible like in the video.
You're flushing all the dirt into the engine, doing more harm than gооd. You have to remove it and clean it. People see this 3:32 which looks clean, but don't see what it looks like inside.
Hi and thanks for watching and sharing! The intention of the video was to show a quick fix without taking off the throttle body. The proper way to do it is to take it off as you've said, but many people are reluctant to do this as it's more complicated and time-consuming. Also (at least from personal experience) this works just fine in most cases. It's certainly worth the try. Regarding the flushing, the spray evaporates quickly so I haven't noticed much gunk in the intake afterward. At least not more than there was before.
@Despair Repair Throttle body cleaner doesn't evaporate quickly, it's not meant to, you spray it into the valve and let it sit for a few seconds then flush it away. I cleaned mine recently which hadn't been cleaned for 13 years. So much soot came out it was like mud. I certainly don't want that goo going down my engine.
That one is easily accessible, just remove it from the engine to clean it properly so that it doesnt dump all that in the engine, you can also change out the gasket while its off, gasket is under 10 dollars
Hi and thanks for watching! If the translator did a good job, the answer would be: no the throttle body valve is OK, it doesn't break. But you have to be careful when opening it and not use too much force. Hope this helps.
This is a bad idea! Throttle Body cleaner is highly flammable and injecting it directly or excessive fumes into the intake can cause a backfire that will crack or completely destroy your plastic intake.
Bro just take it off and clean it. You'll never get a good clean with it still on. The gasket needs replaced or scraped off it it's RVT. Bad advice and lazy mechanic work.
Thanks for watching! The video is meant as a sort of first aid measure for less tech savvy people. It actually works pretty good in most cases when filth is causing the problem.

Besides this, it evaporates quickly and doesn't get into the air intake.
By the way, if you decide to use other sprays or solvents try not to get any into the air intake, just in case.
WD 40 makes a throttle body spray cleaner.
@@bennygreene1421 I'd recommend using the specific throttle body cleaner or carburetor cleaner, WD 40 is pretty greasy.

@@DespairRepair As for the throttle plate cleaning you also want the plate moving freely and not be dry?
Do not try this method on a nissan unless you want youre day ruined. Disconnect the battery, remove and clean the throttle body and re learn the throttle body.
Hi, thanks for watching and for sharing your knowledge and experience.
What you've explained is the right way to do it but the point of the video is to show a quick alternative, especially to people who have less knowledge and experience around mechanics.
Since the procedure shows results in the majority of cases (at least from personal experience), it's certainly worth the try this way.
The valve doesn't descalibrate when you touched it?
Hi and thanks for watching!
No, it didn't but I was careful when doing this. When I started the car after cleaning, everything was OK.
It did for me but the idle relearn is easy to do
Better to just remove it for cleaning. All the buildup is on the back side. It's just 4 bolts.
Hi and thanks for watching! You're right, this video is meant to show the easier option for less experienced people. More of a first aid measure but nevertheless effective
Everybody I read on TH-cam with electronic throttle body says you turn that ignition on and have someone press the
Gas pedal
In fact you said it but didn't DO IT what's with that
Hi, and thanks for watching!
The point of the video is doing it without taking it off I guess that went over your head
👍👍👍💐💐💐👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹👍👍👍🌷🌷🌷
Does the car need to be on ?
Hi, and thanks for watching! No, the engine must be off.
lho koinnya kok di paksa buka dengan tangan, apa tidak rusak itu dan kacau
Hi and thanks for watching! If the translator did a good job, the answer would be: no the throttle body valve is OK, it doesn't break.
But you have to be careful when opening it and not use too much force.
Hope this helps.
A Skoda is basically a VW, right? I mean VW owns Skoda last time I heard.
Hi and thanks for watching!
Yes, it is. It's basically the same company, just different brands.
You haven't used the tooth brush...
After eating, he'll use it.. don't worry
This is a bad idea! Throttle Body cleaner is highly flammable and injecting it directly or excessive fumes into the intake can cause a backfire that will crack or completely destroy your plastic intake.
Hi, and thanks for watching! I've done it lots of times no problem like that.
The spray should be left to evaporate for a couple of minutes.
@@DespairRepair if you can’t take off a throttle body you have no business opening up ur hood
And don't reuse the tooth brush!
Thanks for watching! 🙂
Completely stupid idea. You think that you clean the throttle.....
Why not enlighten the rest of us then how it should be done?
