    Thanks Keav. Clear bottles look sweet, but somewhat worried that 99% of bottles aren't clear. Imagine companies do that to protect chemicals from UV rays?

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I would assume so, but I’m not storing chemicals in my bottles. I clean them out after each wash to avoid buildup in the manifold. Great point though for anybody doing auto metering hacks.

    • @rockhills
      @rockhills ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Clear plastic is most likely PET plastic and may become brittle with time and especially with the use of harsh chemicals. Opaque plastic bottles are HDPE and will outlast PET bottles. And HDPE will probably be more drop resistant in the long run. I suppose UV protection is the least of anyone's concern as cannons aren't intended for long term chem storage.
      Good review though. I wish the bottle didn't have all that goofy writing on it.

    @2:53 that got me😂😂😂. If there ever was a “Dodgeball-esque” Best In Show 🎥 type movie about foam cannons you’d be the lead. Great Review! Replace the blue with black/red or gray and that thing is money. Love the shape of the clear bottle too.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The blue is a bit much and it has a more gloss type appearance compared to the Pro V2 which is more Satin. My wife was concerned when it arrived at the house I walked around all day just twisting and turn the top. I told her it was durability testing. LOL

      @@CarsWithKeav I have not. But I've never left any soap in the container (I rarely use the auto-mix and always flushed out the insides when I do). That's unfortunate that it did for you, though. Whatever the other Griots foam Cannon is called though, which I can't remember for some reason, had a ball that rusted almost immediately for me, but they replaced it with another one for me, and that one has been fine since.
      I'm sure they would send you a new ball if you emailed them and told them your problem. Though I guess you're not exactly starving for usable foam cannons, lol. But yeah, no reason to let it sit there doing nothing if they would send you a free replacement.

  • @richscott2483
    @richscott2483 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I choose MJJC Pro which has Balance, a wider container mouth opening, threaded stays on better, a nice container shape and is affordable. V3.0 has a clear bottle and easier-to-see markings, if dropped the bottle may pop off or crack, more expensive than Pro makes little sense. The headpiece is the same build just V3 has a different bottleneck size.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว

      Supply and demand right now on the price. V2 is the older product and demand is slowing so it gets a lower price. They can barely keep stock on their own website and its rarely ever on Amazon right now. V3 Pro will be coming though so that could be the ultimate mix of the two.

      When they first came out they were $50 to $60. BOSS and PF22.2 were close to $100. MJJC soon realized their product was outperforming the top of the market and made a big adjustment in price. You can get this one for $82 now on Amazon, but it’s a months wait. Check out eBay and Alibaba I am hearing some have gotten these for $65 there. at 10:04 what does he mean when he mentions amps and how u can reduce the life of your pressure wassure? i never deal with amps aside from my 1800 psi 1.2gpm ryobi electric pressure wassure. does he have a gauge that tells the power he draws as he uses the spray trigger ??

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I am using an amp meter to measure the draw of the pressure washers. In the specs it will tell you how many amps or watts the motor is rated for. You always try to stay below that rating. Certain nozzles used with foam cannons can make them draw beyond the rating which will lessen the life of the motor. The pressure washer you have you don’t have to worry about as it will work with a 1.1 orifice nozzle no problem.

      That is a lot of pressure and flow. I think you have two options 1) dial down the machine if it has a pressure regulator you can adjust. 2) get at least a 1.5 orifice or maybe even bigger 1.75 or 2.0. Never tried on one that powerful. One question is what is the brand and model of your pressure washer so I can do a little research as well.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Should not, the worry would be stressing your motor too much. Electric ones with too much water flow and not enough orifice size cause stress on the motor which increases Amperage which can lead to tripped breakers and lessen the lid of the motor. Gas shouldn’t be a problem, but if you use all the time I would put a 1.5 orifice in the to help the flow.

    Why does everyone mix the soap and water in the foam cannon bottle instead of mixing it in a gallon or two jug? Any leftover can be placed back in the premade jugs and stored for the next wash.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well for me I do so many reviews and have limited shelf space and that extra big jug or bottle is taking up valuable space. If I ran a detailing business I would for sure do that at the least or have a dilution pump do it all for me. Other reason is sometimes I might go a month between using the same soap so the premix would most likely have separated some and would have to be mixed anyways to maintain consistent dilution. Finally for me I like to play with dilution levels as well. You have very valid points and if I was running the same soap and wash dilution every time I would have a premixed bottle for sure. Really appreciate the feedback.

      It is a bit much, but compared to most others prices now it’s not too bad. Inflation in the detailing world is way more than most. 2 years ago the Pro V2 was $60 when MTM was $90. MTM has not changed price and MJJC has raised. Not sure if it’s because it was undervalued or all the R&D is costing $ while MTM lives off an older design.

    I can't understand why car detailers spend so much on a foam gun. A simple hand pump garden sprayer with a foam tip is every bit as good as those RIP OFF foam guns. Numpties.

    I'm using the tool daily 1.5 liters and it works better and cheaper than mjjc V.2 or 3
    i have the mjjc S V.3 same shit different day
    It's not worth 80.00$ I payed 30 for the Tool daily and 40 for wand work with a 4200 psi hose and 1.1 . I can say that it works fantastic. I wish I NEVER BOUGHT THE MJJC V.3 ITS JUST NOT WORTH THE MINUTE DIFFERENCE.
    Trust me, the suds and foam stays on the car WITHOUT EXCESSIVE DRIPPING!

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว

      Tool daily works fine, but I pay extra for better build quality and innovation. It all depends on where you see the value. The quick release top, flexible tube and weighted ball are why I love it. With the MJJC I never have to run a 1.1 when using lower gpm pressure washers. I have a video where I compare 3 cheap foam cannons just like the MJJC and they all great. I have reviewed over 20 foam cannons and will choose the pro V2 and S V3 every time. Good thing for you won’t take long for Tool Daily and others to steal the newer MJJC ideas and make cheaper versions. They already have taken the manifold design and the M22 connection. Just remember those expensive products are that way due to all the R&D and others can be way cheaper because they didn’t put in the time and effort.

    • @lmphashby
      @lmphashby ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Cars With Keav Well, we shall see; I have both products and never put THAT MUCH THOUGHT into it when I'm foaming the car. IMO as long as it DOES the job it's good enough for me.
      I dont ALWAYS take the cannon off especially when I'm doing the second wash as I do smal sections at a time. I tend to leave the cannon attached and on a hook, just don't see the point at unhooking it , it extra work for no reason, to each his own.
      As for the orifice, EVERYONE IMMEDIATELY switches to 1.1 upon purchase of ANY cannon these days. No uses the 1.25. Don't see why they even install that in the first place as it just doesn't work well.
      great exchange, thans for the reply

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lmphashby My pressure washer will overheat and trip my breaker if I use a 1.1. All depends on the pressure washer you are using. The Active brand recommends not to use anything less than a 1.25. I try not to do what everybody else does if I can get away using a 1.25 on say a Ryobi I’m going to lengthen the life of the unit due to the motor not having to work as hard. I get what you mean when doing a panel at a time most likely in the sun? I have a luxury most don’t with the wash bay so I can foam the whole car without having to worry about the soap drying. When I did work outside I washed after dark or early in the morning to avoid the sun. Agreed, great exchange!

    • @lmphashby
      @lmphashby ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Cars With Keav Man you need a new pressure washer if it over heats from maybe two to 3 minutes of use with a 1.1. I'm not sure about you claim of 1.25 since the manufacturers provide this in the box.
      I do wash outside yes, and I use a greenworks 3000 psi electric. I have a Dewalt 3800 psi gas but it's just too powerful for this work.
      Again, I'm not an expert, just a novice trying to work with things that get the job done.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lmphashby Foam Cannon manufacturers will put whatever they want in there. The Active pressure washer manufacturer explicitly says in the instruction to only use a minimum of a 1.25 with a foam cannon. It is a 15 AMP pressure washer and using a 1.1 pushes it over that and can also trip the breaker. The reason it does that is because it is an actual true 2.0 gpm machine and its too much water flow to hold back when using to small of an orifice. If you ever get to use one and a 1.25 you will understand why you would never need a 1.1.
