    I am a big fan of Matt and OG, having ordered a full Kranzle power wash set up from him, including the MTM PF22.2 cannon. I hated having to mix my soap using that tiny opening in the top. Also had trouble with 2 of them. I actually found the BOSS myself, before Matt started with it at OG, and I am glad he now supports this unit. I have never been a fan of Griot's products, so I was skeptical, but the BOSS is truly fantastic. The ball-weight at the end of the tube is such an ingenious idea, and being able to pour my Adam's Mega Foam directly into the container and have the unit do the water/soap mixing for me is a game-changer. I have one for my wheel foam soap (Brake Buster) and another for foaming the car body. Yes, pricey, but they are in line with other high-end cannons. I use the off-white metering insert in the ball-weight for max foam, and it looks like Christmas in the summer time in my driveway. I can't recommend the BOSS highly enough.

    @Obsessed Garage To answer your dilution question:
    Percentage of Water = (Volume of Water / Total Volume) * 100%
    Percentage of Product = (Volume of Product / Total Volume) * 100%
    Percentage of Water = (22.71246 liters / (22.71246 liters + 1 liter)) * 100%
    Percentage of Product = (1 liter / (22.71246 liters + 1 liter)) * 100%
    Calculating these percentages:
    Percentage of Water = (22.71246 liters / 23.71246 liters) * 100% ≈ 95.7%
    Percentage of Product = (1 liter / 23.71246 liters) * 100% ≈ 4.3%
    Going from 1000 ml of product to 6 gallons of product, approximately 95.7% of the mixture is water, and about 4.3% is the original product.

    Matt - If you like the BOSS foam canon, you gotta try the CHEAPER Brilliant Finish Foam Canon. I don't know how, but the cheaper foam canon from Griots puts out FAR SUPERIOR FOAM! It's crazy. I use 4 oz of Foaming Surface Wash and fill the rest up with water, and you got the thickest shaving cream foam you've ever seen from a foam canon. I just got an electric which is less powerful but sufficient for car washing and easier to setup. So, I will use it more often. I've got an old-school MTM with the weird small-bottom small-neck bottle. Getting a set of three new wide-mouth, flat-bottom MTM bottles was $50, including shipping and tax straight from MTM. Or I could just get a brand new Griot's for about $100. I decided to get the 3 MTM bottles. On order, not received yet. Maybe I should have just got the Griot. Not sure. But I think what I got will do me okay for a while now. There is someone below here in the comments saying that he used the MTM and the Griots professionally daily and found the MTM more reliable. OG disagrees. But that makes me think that sticking with the MTM isn't a bad idea.

      MTM pressure washer nozzles are prone to rusting so bad they become completely plugged & unusable if left in storage for the winter.
      It’s funny how they say they use 316 stainless yet in actual practice with steady contact with fresh non acidic water it proves to be inferior to 304.
      None of our equipment will ever come in contact with salt water nor does anyone run acidic water through their hoses, so there’s absolutely no need or benefit in using 316 and real world use shows 304 does not suffer from the rust issues that can and will plague 316 stainless.
      This is 1 of those situations where some in the detailing industry outsmarted themselves and fixed something that wasn’t broken.

    Regarding rebuiling: if you run a bottle of clear/clean water after your wash solution, you probably will not have to rebuild it.

    • @Samuelfish2k
      @Samuelfish2k 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don’t have to fill the bottle with water, you simply keep squeezing the trigger and plain water will run through rinsing the filter clean.
      That’s what I’ve been doing. Correct me if I’m wrong?

  • @AMLauria
    @AMLauria ปีที่แล้ว

    M att- If you are investigating dilution rates, etc., it would be helpful to have an accurate flow (water volume) meter on the water "feed" side; maybe as a part of the "garden hose" input. That way, when the foam cannon bottle runs out, you could release the trigger and read out the measured volume. Just a thought, and asuming the entire system is leak-free.

    Have had mine for 4 years since September 2020 and it’s been fantastic. Done two rebuilds (probably due for another one) after multiple washes per month since purchase. Very happy with it, but definitely get yourself an extra resavoir or two. The secondary internal thread for normal bottles was a good idea but standard bottles cannot handle that kind of torque on the necks and WILL break.

    I got the griots brilliant finish foam cannon and it was good for a couple months and then was garbage. The metal ball corroded my bottle into a nasty yellow spotted bottle. It stopped producing foam and got clogged way too easily and the aluminum got scratched up up so easily. Luckily Griots sent me a rebuild kit for free and a new bottle, but still I don't think it's worth the 65$ I paid for it. The boss foam cannon might be a different story but I would rather get the MJJC instead

    • @wd8005
      @wd8005 ปีที่แล้ว

      Suttner foamer doesn’t produce thick foam with the most common pressure washer that people have in their garage. Somebody in YT already tested the Suttner with a Kranzle and it comes out as just soapy water kinda like what you would get out of a garden hose foamer. Suttner foamer will work if you have enough pressure & flow to support it for example Chem X. They use Suttner foamer on a 2500 psi 3.5gpm pressure washer and it works great but on your common pressure washer not so much.
